Planning a trip to Perth and we are looking for a farm stay with activities like animal feeding, riding etc, near Bunbury or Swan Valley.
I just saw SIA215 nearly landing on top of another plane, and having to go around just before the runway. Is this a common occurence or did someone fucked up bad?
EDIT: the MXD194 was trying to take off, not cross the runway.
I’ve been away for about 12 years. Perth kind of feels different than it used to. A lot more diversity on public transport. Nightlife not as strong. Cbd is nicer and more modernised. Overall it’s not as remote as it used to be culturally or psychologically. Kind of feels similar to the eastern states now just with different weather. Or maybe I’m the one who’s changed and don’t notice the difference anymore. Im starting to think, the way society is evolving culturally and economically everywhere is becoming roughly the same. Sort of like how modern entertainment has become roughly the same content rehashed over and over again for a global audience. Like many places are losing their uniqueness for better or worse and everything is heading towards the same generic version of each other. In my opinion it’s the result of trying to maintain the status quo.
I think Perth has always been an extreme city. It’s weather, remoteness and mining industry has always made it very different than the others but it no longer feels extremely different anymore.
So now that not only are the disposable vapes are gone, and Rel X, the brand I was told to sign up for if I wanted to continue vaping with a dash of nicotine has been suspended where can i go now?
Hello everyone, I am a young man in grade 12 and after finishing my high school journey, I plan to study abroad in Australia and more specifically, Perth, a city in the state of Western Australia. I hope you guys can suggest me some suitable schools, or please describe to me specifically what life is like here.

Hi, I think I forgot my poster in the train, is there some kind of lost and found at the train station in Perth ? I got out at the last station (klarkson).
Anyone else suddenly have loads of these noisy little buggers around in recent weeks?
Got any recommendations for controlling them with chemicals (that actually worked)?
I've been seeing more and more posts on Gumtree and social media of people looking for work, any work. What's going on?
Taken with GoPro on tripod
Morning walk saw a woman fold up the top of her maccas bag and delicately place it in the trolley, could have placed it in the bin a few meters to the left or taken it home but that would have been too inconvenient for you. Your lack of integrity makes you part of the problem, why does someone else need to clean this shit up? Was going to call her out but didn’t want to traumatise her precious sheltered children. Afternoon walk and the crows have done what they do.
To the people who dump trolleys on there, the least you can do is report it to be collected, there is a number on the handle. But you’re a special breed and we won’t go there.
Went to Melbourne for a few years for work and get seriously hooked on Laksa soup. I had three places I went to that were all awesome and I’m missing it since I came back to Perth.
Was recommended a place in East Perth on Bennett Street, and it was ok but not as good as I’d hoped.
Any suggestions of good Laksa restaurants around - surely there must be some in the suburbs somewhere?
I’ve seen photos online of the place and can’t seem to find anything about it, wondering if it’s been demolished or if it’s still there just sitting vacant?
We have decided we would like to adopt a dog. We are stable and own our own home and have wanted one for years but we were renting and it just wasn’t a good time for us to do it. Now, we have been looking to adopt and there are so many dogs in shelters/refuges and being put down but the adoption process seems so hard. You have to be up to par with their standards to adopt. I understand they need a loving home but isn’t that enough? A lot of them want you to be home for a week when first adopting, not have young kids, some request no other animals, and certain criteria’s need to be met. It seems almost ludicrous.
I live in wattle grove and I have a car. Looking for some good spots to just chill and look up at the stars
My younger cousin is really into trains and wants to see one of the new C-Series trains - problem is I have no idea when they seem to be running. I catch the Mandurah line semi-regularly, and I'm still yet to see a C-Series train. Does anyone know if there's specific times/days they run? I understand that there aren't a lot of them up and running, but does anyone know if there's specific services they're scheduled onto? Or is it just luck of the draw?
This is a gas cylinder switch found in WA. What are the green and red supposed to indicate? Looks a bit fancy just for decoration.
I've noticed at the top of every door to board a bus at perth busport there is a little green ribbon/streamer taped just above the doors. Does anyone know the purpose or why they're there?
I arrived in Perth about 2 months ago as an international student and I've been desperately searching for a part-time or casual job. I'm very hardworking and I'm willing to do any job. If anyone has a job to offer or if anyone knows someone who has a job, I'd graciously accept it. Please help me.
Hello
I've previously did a working holiday visa in my young 20s in Tasmania. I did 7 months working for a company that supplied labour for farms. I worked with mostly locals as who the fuck picks Tassie. I want to work with people who enjoy a good laugh and not cry over every joke.
I've looked at locations and Perth seems to suit me a lot better than Melbourne or Sydney, due to the people living in these areas
Is it better to apply to agencies before coming to Perth or is it better to be Perth to begin job hunting? Most of work experience is in hands on work or security gigs.
Cheers.
I have a few inlays lifting on my Les Paul Standard. I was thinking Kosmic, but thought I’d check for any other recommendations.
Also very interested on roughly how much this repair would cost, if anyone’s had a similar thing done before.
Anyone know where to find my 50kg 2 foot tall concrete kangaroo that some fuckwit stole from my front yard. Would have had to plan and bring a ute or some shit... And if it's you, fuck you ded mate.
Edit - Basso. And no pics, that I know of, he wasn't active on socials, so he didn't take many photos of himself, plenty of the sunrise and different lawns around the joint.
You know the one, where you could see then make it and was near the cinema right near the middle of Perth. I only remember it as a kid, what happened to it?
I am planning on moving to Perth next year from New Zealand, I am looking around the Joondalup area. Is there any areas that are better than others. Are there any areas I should avoid. Last time I was in Perth I stayed in Kinross and around Banksia Grove. Thanks in advance
Looking for recs for where to get Masseter Botox for teeth grinding/jaw clenching. Would love to hear your happy experiences. Cracked 2 molars already through this and may lose a third. I cannot sleep with a nightguard and jaw clench through the day.
Also is it claimable for health insurance? Any hoops for this? Many thanks!
