At the top level everyone will be a great kick, what factors make a great kick an elite kick
Hey Folks. I'm planning a bucket list vacation to Melbourne from the US for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix. I saw that Carlton plays a game on March 13th while I'll be there. My question is, how does ticketing work? Is it possible to get a single game ticket?
I see a bunch of Membership options listed but I'm having a tough time finding a place to just buy a ticket to a game. Can someone explain to me?
Edit: Okay I've read a bit on my own about memberships, but any insider insight into how it all works and the possibility of just getting a single game ticket would still be very appreciated!
As a counterpoint to the post regarding premiership droughts, I think the fact that only 4 clubs haven't made the GF in the last 20 years demonstrates the overall health of the competition. Another point is that 16 of the 18 clubs have reached a preliminary final in the last 20 years, and the majority of clubs in that group have made multiple prelims in that period.
While premierships are what matters, we should acknowledge that making a GF counts as a measure of success. Imagine if the EPL had 15 clubs finishing either 1 or 2 over the last 20 years, instead of the consistent big 4. Likewise with other sports such as NBA, NFL, etc.
Genuine question. Imagine a scenario, where a team of players (consensually) opted in to all be subjected to chemically-induced anosmia, thus losing their sense of smell.
Then, every single member on said team uses TWO ENTIRE CANS of deodorant EACH, thus subjecting the enemy team to near-debilitating amounts of stench.
Is there actually any rule against this strategy? I can't imagine there is, right? Sincere answers would be appreciated, because it seems I may have struct gold strategy-wise.

Few familiar faces at training
Its really interesting as a big AFL and NBA fan to see the different ways both sports pay respect to their historic players.
Richmond are opting to not give their new draftees the option to pick the numbers of Martin, Riewoldt, Cotchin, and Edwards. They want the next players to wear those numbers to have proven they are worthy of the number to continue its legacy. I know some clubs also choose to give their high draft pick the number as a sign of respect and expectations. The NBA goes the complete opposite route by retiring the number so no one in the future can wear it on that team.
Im kind of torn now between which is better as a sign of respect because on one hand they're cemented as historic for the franchise in the NBA. But in the future watching a young gun earn the number 4 and being able to see them as almost a constant reminder of Dusty is cool. But then the pressure of them having to live up to the legacy of Dusty is a bit much and drowns out their own career if they can't.
I always thought after 18 years (1 for every club). Or maybe after no players from that season are playing anymore.
I'm mostly new to sports in general. I've been looking at everything from baseball to hockey to all kinds of football codes the last couple of months. I managed to catch the end of an Australian football match on television a few weeks ago, and it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Davidson, number 14 for Brisbane, was pretty impressive in the bits of the match I saw. So I've been trying to immerse myself in it. I've been doing research on the clubs trying to find a club to support, but it's been hard. I've never been to Australia, so I don't have location to go off of for this decision. So far, I've been leaning towards Western, Sydney, Richmond, Collingwood, North Melbourne, and St. Kilda based on the general vibe I've gotten, Brisbane for being the first club to excite me, and Melbourne for looking cool-as-fuck, but I'm welcome to looking into all of them. If anyone wants to give me some insight into your club's culture and outlook to help sway my decision, I'd be grateful. I've been trying to read posts in club-specific forums and such, but I figured just asking directly could be useful. What should I know about your club? Why do you like your club? What sets your club culture apart and makes it unique?
Apparently channel 7 absolutely shaking things up and these two won’t be doing Friday night footy.
Any confirmations of who’s doing this marquee slot?
