I’m considering taking BIOL1130 next semester instead of ANHB1101 like I planned to originally and wanted to hear from those of you who’ve done BIOL1130 before. I’m especially curious about:

• Workload: How much time did you spend studying or completing assignments weekly?

• Exams: Were they tough? Were they mostly theory, problem-solving, or application-based? Any tips for prep?

•Content-Heavy?: Did it feel overwhelming, or was it manageable if you stayed consistent?

Also, if there are any resources or strategies you found helpful for this unit, I’d love to hear about them! Thanks in advance for any insights you can share.

Hey all, I’m enrolled in a CS major and am half way through my degree. Does anyone have any tips on how to study for programming units? I do really well during the semester with assessments but struggle maintaining the mark and I believe it all comes down to study technique. I am taking on 4 units for next sem: CITS2005, CITS2200, CITS3403 and INDG1150.

Hi everyone, I have just finished my Bachelor of Biomedical Science and have now been offered a spot in Masters of Infectious Diseases at UWA and was wondering if anyone could provide insight into the course. Primarily the goal is the use this degree to boost my GPA for medicine, but I also do have a strong interest in this field. My questions are:

1. Is this a course where it is doable to achieve a high GPA and set me up to get into med proceeding completion?
2. What are career options like? I can’t find much in the way of specific jobs that require a masters of infectious diseases anywhere so I am a bit worried about that.

I’m a 2nd year student and I find myself doing pretty well during the semester but I always struggle with exams somehow and end up with Ps or CRs only and I’m really trying to increase my GPA! I’m doing biomed btw. Does anyone have any recommendations for level 2 and 3 units that don’t have exams or tips or any study techniques that may be able to help me?

Has anyone done this unit before and how was their experience? Is it super intensive or more relaxed? I’m doing it over the summer semester and worried about how much time I should be dedicating to it. TIA xx

Currently enrolling into my first year of uni. I am planning on doing advanced computer science majoring in artificial intelligence by the start of 2nd semester.

I've selected all my units for my first semester, but because I am doing CITS1401 in 2nd semester, I am not able to do any CITS elective because they are all either incompatible or i am lacking prereqs.
Any recommendations for electives that suit cs/ai in my 2nd semester would help.

How hard was this unit in 2024? I saw a review on student vip that it wasnt too bad as of 2024 but it was only one review and I know it's been fairly hard in earlier years. Because I'm thinking of moving from the anthropology/evolution stream (in the ANHB major) to the general anatomy part and taking ANHB330, ANHB331, ANHB2212, rather than ANHB3315, ANHB2215, ANHB3322. I'm also interested by the new units, and they have good coordinators (one with Vanessa and one with the human bio head) and I'm worried by the low enrollments in the anthropology stream and the marking is apparently questionable as well. Any advice would be great thanks.

Hey guys, I need to do one more 3rd yr econ unit to round off econ credits for my degree, not good at math and the only ones left that seem to be less math-intense are health econ (didn't hear many good reviews about this one) and history of econ ideas.

Has anyone done this unit, and if so, is it hard, easy - what's the content/unit structure like. Is it even worthwhile...? Any advice would be appreciated.

Is there any way to learn more about a unit before enrolling for next semester, eg unit outline, assignment weightage, topics etc? Basically stuff that you only get after the semester starts. Is it rude or too forward to ask unit/course coordinators about this, or should I maybe contact the student office?

Another thing is that I noticed LMS has a “your grade vs class mean” kind of thing but most coordinators don’t reveal or input the class marks into the system. Again, is it rude to ask for this info? Just curious on how my grades compare to the average. TIA

Hi! I am an international student considering accounting as a second major. My current major (which is not very practical but is something that I truly enjoy) is very unrelated to commerce, so I am a little worried about what effect this may have on my gpa. I am curious about whether most accounting units be considered “HD-able” or if they are considered really hard by most. (Sorry for the weird phrasing)

I also noticed that the ACCT1101 unit description states no prior knowledge in accounting is required. Is that really true? Would someone with little knowledge in commerce be able to achieve a HD?

I'm applying to transfer to a different degree, the application has multiple 'pages'. Got stuck on the third page 'Course Details'. It says 'please provide the following information' and then there's just a blank page. I've tried exiting out and going back in, I've tried it in another web browser. It just won't load. I've emailed at askuwa but since it's a weekend I'm unlikely to get any response. Has anyone else experienced this before and knows how to fix the issue?
