This beer used to be pretty widely available before the COOF. Does anyone have any insight into why it has not come back into stock in Australia for (from what I can see) almost 5 years?
It used to be my Xmas beer.
I do miss it.
Any insights would be most appreciated.
So my dad's on a mission to track down a nostalgic beer from his UK days! 🍻🇬🇧 Hoping to find it locally and avoid those crazy shipping fees! Edit: beer in question is holsten pils 🤞🏻 #CheersToMemories #BeerQuest
I never knew how many standard drinks were in various beers I was drinking on tap so I created a little app for my own use but thought others may enjoy it.
Is there a difference and if so what??
I’m chasing some recommendations for a stout I could gift my husband for our first wedding anniversary.
He loves stouts and dark beers. I’m completely naive when it comes to this topic! I know he enjoys imperial stouts and chocolate stouts?
I was wanting to get something special that he wouldn’t usually buy himself. Something up to $100.
Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated, thank you!
With everything getting more and more expensive I've been on the hunt for good value craft beer, specifically IPAs.
I stumbled across Sydney Brewery East Coast IPA. 4 for $18 or 24 for $78 with an ABV of 7.0%. Is it the best beer I've had? No, but man it packs a punch.
So, fellow beer lovers, what other bargains are there currently on the market?
Any recommendations?
I don't like buying imported anything, but I want that full on Barbarian style wheat beer (that Australians generally hate).
I've heard that there's a pub crawl based upon the Sydney edition of Monopoly bit can't seem to find details of it anywhere. Has anyone done this, and if so can you share the route? Thanks
Hi beer guys, so I’ve had arcade made - by brew dogs, and it was just one of the greatest beers I’ve ever had. Can anyone recommend me a similar beer as currently it unavailable. Thanks in advance
Sorry to ask but I have been researching it for the past 10 minutes and can't find an answer. I am trying to cut down on liquid calories and I enjoy the taste of VB so I am going with that. The caloric content doesn't matter too much but I would like to know out of curiosity.
Also any suggestions for Lower Calorie beers in the future? I have tried Better Beer and enjoyed it. What are some others?
What is an equivalent beer ?
Edit: Anywhere in Brisbane
Gday fellas I’ve always wanted to get into crafting my own beer and since life’s been a bit rough lately I thought I could do with a decent hobby. Problem is there’s about a billion different guides/opinions online about the best way to go about it and am really unsure of how/where to start. Any resources or sites for complete beginners? Nsw if that makes any difference.
Last week my local shop got in some Guinness. The cans were held together with the four soft rubber rings around the waist. They were extremely rich in flavour like coffee, thick and really tasty. I go back the other day and get another four pack they have the hard black plastic caps holding the cans together on the top. They tasted acidic and more watered down. As far as I recall both of them were from Ireland, any ideas what’s going on? is it just a case of batch being older?
I've noticed 355ml cans seem to becoming slightly more popular, does any one know why a brewery would pick 355ml over the more traditional 375ml?
Annoying they don't sit in my yeti cooler as well.
Hi all, I'm brand new to this page but I thought I'd open with a shortlist of my top brewers. Maybe you've heard of them, maybe not.
Top Three (not ordered). I highly recommend getting your hands on beer from all of these:
Tumut River Brewing Co - Tumut NSW and Online.
Brendale Brewing Co - North Brisbane Qld
Eden Brewery - Mittagong NSW
Others who impressed:
Mountain Culture - Katoomba NSW
Slipstream - South Brisbane Qld
Ballistic Beer Co - South Brisbane
All Inn Brewing - North Brisbane
Black Hops Brewing - Gold Coast
While I was not paying attention, it seems Fullers has ceased export to Australia.
Can anyone confirm? Is there absolutely no Fullers coming into Australia?
I've only ever had one Vintage Ale and I have to say it was one of the most memorable beers I've had.
Hey guys,
I'm located in Melbourne and am trying to find some overseas craft beer stores that deliver to Australia. Does anyone know of any.
Cheers
So, my favourite beer around is the juice train from Deeds. Now that I’m rapidly running out of my final stock, does anyone have any suggestions on a beer that is similar?
Hey gang. I’m usually a lager man. But looking for recommendations of something With a hint more of a refreshing taste. But nothing too fruit crazy. Like I’m going from sparkling water to sparkling water with lime. Not full blown soft drink ya know? As a sort of guide. Generic Stone and wood is probably absolute as fruity as I’d go. Cheers!
