Hi me and two other people are in the process of forming a metalcore/deathcore band and we are looking for a second guitarist and a drummer capable with heavy music style drums.
FFO: Knocked loose, caged existence, varials, starve, dealer, alpha wolf, body prison, end.
We are all currently located out in the western suburbs. Feel free to message me about joining up and becoming a part of the band.
Looking at doing some shows next year (I’m Melbourne based)
Hey Melbourne musicians!
I live with a few local musicians and have seen firsthand how booking agents take up to 40% of their gig revenue ($150-200 from a $500 gig). It's pretty rough seeing talented artists lose such a big chunk of their earnings.
I'm exploring building a platform that would:
The goal is simple: musicians keep more of what they earn, and venues potentially pay less while still getting great talent.
Before I start building anything, I'd love to hear from:
If there's enough interest, I'll start working on making this happen. Drop a comment or DM me if you'd like to be kept in the loop!
looking to release an r&b EP next year and wanted to know of any good producers (willing to collaborate) and affordable studios in melbourne?
also seeking violinists, pianists, saxophone and bass players as well to jam and add to the record <#
X2 tickets available 150 each selling as a pair
for quite some time now (aka as long as ive been playing) ive wanted to join a band, but how exactly would i do that nowadays? ive heard the usual 'posters in local music shops' but noone really does that. there was melband (rip) and bandmix kinda sucks and its paid. one of my biggest problems is that im 16 (17 pretty soon though) and younger bands are even harder to find. ive tried facebook, nothing. i cant ask anyone at school since all the music students and band kids hate disabled people (such as myself). i want a reason to go out and play and maybe perform at some point, especially since ive had most my musical outlets taken away at this point.
Live music better than ever

It's this, or go play a gig and effectively karaoke over my pre-recorded tracks at home. This, I think, is better because it's each part recorded live as a single take*, to replicate how it would present at a gig if I could clone myself. It's super fun to make. Time-permitting, I'll bang some more out soon.
*Well, all but the drums, for now. I'm no drummer... (yet). I effectively need to cram some drumming sessions to get a decent take with nice fills like the one that's playing here. Putting this up as a work in progress because it'll probably take weeks to find the time to get enough drumming practice on this track. Stay tuned, I'd love to be able to complete with a live drumming recording.
My niece is coming to Melbourne for Christmas holidays. She loves singing, dancing and even more passionate about playing her cello. My sister was asking me if there would be any opportunities for her to play cello in any event to gain international experience. I have no clue about all this. So, community, can you please give pointers
Thanks!!
Hi guys, Just did a great interview with Melbourne Emo/Alt Rock outfit All Regards! We talked about their new EP 'All Our Dreams Turn to Nightmares', enlisting John Stokes from Drastic Park for a breakdown and hear some horror stories from riding the Spirit of Tasmania!

Hey as a raver early 2000s they often used the snatch movie line 'now we are fucked' Anyone have any links to tracks?
This is just a PSA to let you know that CRi and other Anjunadeep supporting artists are playing at Brown Alley in a few hours. I highly recommended his stuff when I found him at Above & Beyond Weekender two years ago.
(I am not affiliated/sponsored just a punter who reckons he plays some pretty tasty beats.)
Tickets on Tixel are pretty cheap when posted. https://tixel.com/au/music-tickets/2024/11/15/cri-brown-alley-melbourne
