Hello Brisbanites! My partner and I are interested in joining a board game club, and/or even a RPG club.

At the grand age of 34 I’ve discovered I love board games, and have long yearned to try role play games, but have never really known where to start/always been a bit nervous. I/we have minimal experience but are keen and eager to learn.

Prefer close to the CBD but am willing to travel up to 45 mins away. Any pointers would be most appreciated - I truly have no idea where to start.

Hello all - I’m reasonably new to Brisbane, having lived up on the Sunshine Coast for a long time. I am hosting a live murder solving ‘dinner party’ which requires seating and preferably food and drink is allowed. The game requires sound components and music to be played.

I’ve got 13 people, and it’ll run for 4 hours from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, though this could be moved forward to 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

I’ve tried to look around online but when I search for venues, they’re all for large events and want you to send an enquiry! I was curious if anyone’s ran something like this and if so, where did you run it, how much was cost, etc? Or does anyone have any venue suggestions? I like to stay out late. A 10am check-out is way too early for me. Even a late check-out of around 12 is a bit early for what I want to do.
About a year ago I found that the Ibis Styles in Brisbane city has a 5pm late check-out option for around an extra $70 (by booking through Accor Live, I believe).
I am looking for other Brisbane hotels that offer a guaranteed late check-out by paying a bit extra. A lot of hotels say that they offer late check-out, but they only do so if they don't have someone else checking into the same room the next day, and can only tell you upon check-in. I need guaranteed late checkout and to know when I book.
Any suggestions?

Hey all, I’m looking to undertake a 6 month course in individual support (support work) through TAFE. I’m essentialy living the same distance between the 2 campus’ (Kenmore) - so with that being the case, does anyone have any idea which is a higher quality campus that hopefully attracts better teaching staff/cohort.

I’m not expecting Harvard over here, just wondering if anyone has experience with both campus’s or are in the know to recommend one over the other.

Went to the The Greater Springfield Community Festival and it was pretty good. Great food and people, would go again. I noticed that is was a predominately Indian festival which I was not expecting. Does Springfield have a large Indian population? I've been around here for a bit and haven't seen a lot when shopping, going to/from work, dining out

My wife took our kids to Chermside yesterday for some shopping. This morning front tyre of car was flat with one screw in tyre and another on the ground in same line as tyre path. Asked the kids if they had been playing with screws and they hadn’t (they’re mostly honest but could be lying). Anyone else experienced flat tyre after being at Chermside? Just wondering if some kids are operating there.
