I wanted to know if anyone can book an appointment at the Student Centre by clicking on 'Current UTS students and staff.' Everytime I click it, it says "User Error – Login via Webtoken failed." I wanted to book an appointment to check if my student ID card is ready. Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

I'm taking BRM this upcoming semester and am not able to find much information on what the coursework would be like. (I'm struggling to decipher the learning outcomes).

To prepare, the closest course I found online would be a Business Requirements Documentation course I found on Udemy.

My questions are the following:

1. What is the coursework actually like?
2. What preparation would I most benefit from today till the start of the semester?
3. Anything that was particularly difficult? (Please avoid mentioning group work, I'm aware.)
4. How would you rate the difficulty of the course overall?
5. What resources did you find most useful?

hi all, i’m currently a first year student for a medical science degree. i was wondering what supplies/materials you need for classes (textbooks, notebooks, pens, etc), also what classes require a lab coat, is it just pracs or other classes too? also does information about textbooks get released soon, like do you have to study before classes start? sorry for all the questions 😅

Hey guys, I'm moving out of Scape Sydney Central in the first week of Feb. My contract is till 07/07/2025. I've got a MALE ONLY TWIN SHARE at $459 per week and if you try and book the same room just for sem 1 2025 it's about $519 on their website. I'd reccomend the property for international students just moving to Sydney for the first time, it's a good place to get your footing, i.e. walking distance to UTS and Usyd and a bunch of restaurants and malls and well located. If someone can pick up the remaining part of my lease so hmu for more details if ur interested!!!

This online live recorded activity is at 3pm but it says attendance at specified time…..does this mean I have to be live and watching at 3pm or because it’s online and recorded I can watch it at a different time?

Hi, I struggled socially in high school and never fit in and found ‘my group’.

I was wondering how different the social dynamics are as I really need my student experience to work out for me this time as high school was awful.

Is there like a social hierachy with the cool boys like high school?

How likely could you meet a good group of friends in uni?

Starting soon, and am very nervous and afraid I won’t fit in a group and it’ll be high school all over again 😢

I have a bit of experience with creating the bots, made one using a 50/200 day moving average and another one that used reinforcement learning with different variables.

Having said that im still relatively new to this entire thing so im open to work with people of all skill levels, as long as they contribute to some extent.

As for my goal with this its first to just build a model that after inflation has a decent roi (3-4 percent) based on backtesting of the bot ofc.

Hello everybody, I am a new UTS first year and I am trying to work out my finances and figure out what I need to get to start my Visual Communications course. I am not sure what textbooks, materials or supplies or anything I will need and I am just trying to work it out. I feel like they will go through all of this on orientation coming up however I just like to be prepared.

So Im nearing the end of my Eng degree, 81/198 credits left. My wam rn is 56. Any chance of getting at least 2nd class honours if I get credits and above for the rest of the subjects?? Or am I cooked?

Is it just me or have all the lecture/workshops classes disappeared off the timetable? I got an email a couple days ago saying one of the lectures I was assigned to has been cancelled and I just thought maybe they were reorganising or fixing it, I'm still hoping that's the reason but is it like this for anyone else??

i got my wallet stolen recently, it had my student id card but im starting a different degree (my masters) at uts. i was wondering if i can just apply for another student ID card without having to mark it as a replacement?

or do i have to go through the whole lost/replacement id portal?

I'm a new viscom student and I was meaning to go to the DAB orientation on the 14th. However, now there's a high chance I might not be able to attend.

One of my engineering subjects has the description ‘Online Activity’, but the location for the subject is a building on campus.

Is it actually online or is it on-campus (or both at the same time??)

Hey everyone, I’ve heard some talk about a “freebie card” during orientation, but I’m not sure exactly what it is or how to get it. Does anyone know if it’s something that gets handed out or if it’s part of the registration process? Any info would be super helpful! Thanks!
