Hey guys! I just recently got a bike light and attached it to a gopro mount, does anyone have a way to make the headlight not floppy?

I moved to a new apartment a week ago, and I brought my bike in after commuting. I lifted it up to inspect the front derailleur, and when I put it down, a bug fell off the rear tire. I killed it and am pretty sure it was a cockroach. I’m storing my bike on the balcony now, but I’m worried about exposure to the elements even though the balcony has a roof.
Anybody else worried about bringing bugs into your homes by storing your bikes inside? I have enough space indoors to store it, and I’m not sure if I’m just being paranoid about bugs lol
I accidentally unscrewed the brake on this bike that I’m trying to put together for an Angel Tree Child. I thought that I was supposed to do this, but apparently that was not part of the instructions (bad move on my part) but there’s this break spring support thing and I have looked up where to put it looked in the instructions and I can’t figure out how to attach it. Please help I’ll attach a photo
At least that’s the theme I keep hearing. Yet today I tried to stop at 2 different stores; both closed Sundays. As someone that works M-F, Saturday and Sunday are my running around days and I imagine that’s the case for a lot of people. They can’t be hurting too bad if they’re closed on one of the two busiest days of the week.
shimano groupset price seems at low point in winter, kinda waking the thoughts of building a new bike, so....
Im searching the frames on network, due to the budget im planning to use a cheap Chinese carbon frame to replace my current entry-level aluminium bike (so heavy for its size xxl, 12kg XD), also seems like due to my budget its hard to find a frame that has high enough stack. Im 185cm height and inseam 86cm, trying to lose some weight so I prefer those endurance frames to ride longer time. In my target price range seems not many endurance frame options, but several gravel frames to choose.
I have seen some videos on youtube that "can u use gravel bike as road bike", seems they just swap the gravel wheels and tyres to road wheels and tyres, not the transmission systems. I also seen some post online just use the road groupset like tiagra or 105 on gravel frames. Im going to use 105 R7120 groupset, so I wondering that with same R7120 groupset and road tyres say like 30c, will endurance frame and gravel frame feel so different when riding? I know gravel frames usually heavier a bit, but with my weight it seems not that a big deal.
I usually ride to work with descent spd shoes, but when I have something casual to do after I put on my velosamba's. It's pretty hilly on the way (fixed gear) and everytime I have to put a bit of wats the bottom of my foot hurts like hell, usually only the right feet. I got some vintage Time Atac pedals. It feels like the pedal is pressing on my feet, but I checked with my shoe on the pedal, and the pedal definitely is snug inside the cleat area.
Does anyone have the same issue? Or would know what I could do to fix that?
Thanks I'd really appreciate the help
I saw castelli is having a sale and I wanted to grab some items for my husband but I’m stuck wondering if these are okay items? Originally I was going to get him Ralpha but castelli seems cooler lmao. Not too sure he has a lot of second hand cycling stuff so I wanted to get him something new.
I'm on the look for a used drive train to put on my scott speedtser '22 that runs Sora( and i have come across two group sets.
A tiagra hydraulic one (200 euros) that comes with chain casete 2 shimanos ice rotors and tiagra cranks(my bike runs a generic non series shimano crank).
The 105 (290 euros) offer way less components ( only includes the levers brakes and chain) but i feel like it will be a group set i will keep forever. Also it will be installed at no extra cost.|
What would you people rather get.
Hi!
Out of curiosity, would this work in my new build?
I still have an 11s SRAM cassette lying around, an 11s SRAM MTB shifter, and an 11s chain.
Would this shift okay when I use a SRAM 12s GX Eagle derailleur? These are easier to find, and a lot cheaper than their older 11s counterparts, and the max cassette capacity is advertised as being a lot bigger, which is nice.
I couldn’t find any helpful resources on the exact cable pull for 11s MTB SRAM and 12s MTB SRAM.
Thanks for the help!
Curious what you all who have a few flooded underpasses to clear and the occasional “soggy spell” are using. I’m on slick 35mm GKs but I find myself fishtailing a lot ): looking to go up to 45-50s
The Daily Cyclist Thread is a place where everyone in the /r/bicycling community can come and ask questions or share anything.
You might have questions that you don't think deserve an entire post. Perhaps you're just seeking the input of some other cyclists. Maybe you want to share a picture of your new bike.
Anyone is free to comment, and (hopefully) get as much input as possible from other cyclists.
Not in a rush but I am still searching for my first bike and wanted to ask if this was a good deal.
Details- Diamondback (Overdrive 1?) asking $200 obo. Says the left crank arm needs replacing.
That sounds relatively simple, so would this be a good deal if talked down ($150?) and has not been snatched up because he is 30+ miles out of town or should I run in the opposite direction? Thanks for your advice in advance!
A buddy recently got me into cycling and I just picked this up. Changed to Fizik Argo R1 saddle and got a good Black Friday deal on ENVE 45 wheels that surprisingly came with ENVE SES 25C tires.
Hello bicyle people!
My 8yr old (58lb) daughter wants a bike trailer she can give rides to her younger sister (5 years old and 55lbs). Can anyone tell me if this will work? My oldest still uses training wheels but she can probably learn to ride without them pretty easily. We were looking at some tricycles with passenger seats on Amazon but they reviews weren't great and they were only 16 in and wouldn't work for long as my oldest is already 48in tall.
Thanks in advance!
Mountain to road brake issues
I'm working on my monster bike - Trek mountain frame, grip shift, but swapping the mountain brake levers to road levers w/ hoods. They are on drops. I have rewired cable 10x times to both front and back and I can only get a soft stop and lever all the way squeezed. Cantilever brakes. Why can't the lever have tension? I'm losing the umph by the time it gets to the lever. Suggestions?
