I’m looking for a cycling group in Leeds who do rides out in a weekend. Does this group get together or does anyone have any suggestions for other groups?

Hi does anyone have any good recommendations for places selling second hand bikes. There's obviously eBay and Gumtree but I'm unsure of which shops will even deal with second hand stuff.

Come to our July action meeting for updates on all things cycling from the Campaign. If you haven't been to our meetings before we will be located in the back room (turn left at the bar). All are welcome!

Most of us leave their bikes locked to the fence at the Infirmary across the road.

I really don't appreciate schemes like this. I already (and most cyclists I come accross) cycle considerately and the fact that public money is spent on a cheap saddle cover to slightly lay the blame for problems on the cyclist doorstep!

Get that unloved bike out of the shed, bring it down to donate or to fix up, join in fun, games, and creativity in the name of cycling ☺. This is a bring-a-bike event: bring your old bike, or bring a friend with their bike if they haven’t used it in a while, you can either learn how to fix the bike or it can be donated to Leeds Bike Mill who will repair it and find a good home for it.

With a free set of USB rechargeable lights when you fill in a survey!

Throughout the day will be small competitions and activities, the winners of these will be entered into a raffle to win a bike!

Events on the day:

• Drop in bike repair all day- fix your bike with our help
• Bikeability lessons – learn to ride on the road with confidence and support
• Maintenance lessons available, learn how to look after your bike and make minor repairs
• Mudguard and light fitting sessions at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm
• Puncture repair lessons at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
• The big bike quiz, prizes to be won! – 5pm
• Make a cycling sculpture with old bike parts
• Pedal powered smoothie machine
• Bike spin art
• Free cake available during the day!
• Local cycle route and activity information available

*Small competitions and activities throughout the day to culminate in a raffle to win a bike

Hi all - is there a cyclepoint at Leeds Bus Station? I seem to remember someone telling me there was but the website only mentions the train station.

If so, has anyone used it? Do i have to pre-book?

I have a training course for three days next week in the city centre and thought it might be better than chaining my bike somewhere.
