ECELLS EBIKES

I’ve been watching the ECELLS company website for more than 6 months. All their bikes are “available on back order” ECELLS apparently doesn’t stock bikes. Every time I check the site they never have bikes in stock. Not keeping bikes in stock tells me the company isn’t very confident in their company. My question , is ECELLS a Drop Shipping Company ?

Replacement charger for my ebike?

My ebike uses a 500w 48V 7.8Ah battery. Does it matter a whole lot what kind of replacement charger I get to charge it with?

I picked up a used Hiplok D1000. Those of you with this model, is this amount of wobble normal in its locked position? My Hiplok DX1000 (shown right after) has some wobble, but not nearly as much.

Please help me understand which style of ebike I need

Searching due to ankle injury and wanting to get my dogs off leash in surrounding BLM land, which is a combo of silty dirt and rocks. I want something I can roll along at an easy pace while they run around, but with good traction. I have a seated e-scooter for walking them in town but it slides around too much in the sand. Ability to handle some inclines but nothing crazy. I'm not looking to go fast or far. I'm 6' and around 200, willing to get a rack, hate loading and unloading folding bikes. Love the dirt bikes but don't need to spend that much. TIA for suggestions.

Advice needed!

Hello everyone! I’m planning to buy an electric bike, it will be my first ebike. I can’t decide between Freesky Himalaya pro and Vivi ACE01. They have almost the same specs and priced around $900. For reference, I live in a college town in VA and I plan in commuting to school (2 miles each way and somehow hilly) and will probably take it off road trips. Lastly, should I buy it from Amazon or the seller website?

Let me know what you think.

Adding voltmeter/key to bbshd system

Bought this off cheap, needing the voltmeter aspect mroe than the key lock system. Figure with the barrel connector I could just use a splitter and hook it up easily!... Well, no apparently not. Can't figure out how to do that if it's even possible.

I'm no electrical guy, so figured I'd ask if there is a way to do this, or did I just buy the wrong thing?

upgrade help

I got my first e-bike with the budget I had. I want to upgrade what I have please don’t comment “buy something else” like an ass. My bike has a 750w /1200 peak rear wheel motor with a 48v 10ah battery. My bike has a governor built inside the controller so I want to replace it. I’m just not sure how to tell which controller will be best for my bike. I want to upgrade the speed. I’m new to this so any info will be really appreciated . Btw the bike is a Caroma d3

Referral code swap?

I recently signed up for a couple of referral codes and thought I'd give a shout out there to see if anyone else was signed up for referrals and wanted to pair up. If not with me, then amongst yourselves.

DM me if you want to team up with me for one of mine. Don't expect me to read through comments past a handful.

The Black Friday deals are also started up so there may be ways to double dip on discounts.

I am currently signed up for 2: Freesky and KBO. I'm 2k miles in on a KBO Ranger and can speak to that. Freesky happens to be the kind I want next and have no user experience.

Freesky https://www.freeskycycle.com/collections/e-bikes $50 to the person using a referral - as far as I can tell

KBO https://kbobike.com/ I don't think there is any benefit for the user of the code, so this only really helps me out. 🥳 I just requested a confirmation of that and will edit this when I hear a confirmation. Although I'd be up for possibly splitting the commission.

Or should I just buy the soltera 2?

I’m planning to use it for fun and work and commute around.

Just trying to get opinions .

I appreciate it.

Help me find hydraulic disc brakes please

Hey all! Need a little help. I’m moving to Mexico and purchased this e-bike: Honeywhale K7

https://honeywhale.com.mx/tienda/bicicleta-electrica/k7/bicicleta-electrica-honey-whale-k7-negro/

One of the disadvantages of this model is that it comes with mechanical disc brakes. I’d like to purchase replacement hydraulic disc brakes, but I have no clue what brand, model, or size will fit properly.

I would like to order a set here in the US and bring with me to have a local bike shop install.

I’d really appreciate a little assistance finding the correct ones.

Thanks! 😊

Ridstar Crash

Hello, I have recently bought a 1500w Ridstar Q20 and have been having a blast with it. I was just looking for a fun bike in my low budget. I an fairly inexperienced with ebiking and bikes in general, so it's definitely been a learning curve. I have gotten confident enough to ride in mode 4, (up to 27mph) which may not seem fast, but is for someone inexperienced. I was going through a bumpy, grassy terrain, and if you've ever ridden a ridstar you'd know they're not know for their suspension, I was going about 22mph down a bumpy hill and started having trouble controlling the bike as again, I'm new to this. I ended up crashing pretty hard, with my helmet saving me from a concussion. I ended up being fine, but for the bike, don't know if I can say the same. The chain is stuck in between the Shimano thing at the tire and the thing that holds the chain, making it basically impossible to get the chain off. Additionally, the motor is making a weird almost inexplicable screech which I don't know is some wrong internally with the motor or something else, it only happens after going more than 5mph. Please help me with this if you have any knowledge on it. I will attach pictures if needed. Thank you.

In need of battery replacement help

My Step dads friend is trying to look for a battery placement for a very obscure ebike and I am having issues finding the replacement. The ebike is linked below and has a weird almost L shaped casing. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Question about "peak" power

I live in a country where ebikes have the legal 250w limit. My bike has a 250w rated motor. Now I know peak power is a thing and thst almost every ebike peaks much higher than 250w... but only for a few seconds, right?

My ebike drains about 500w from the battery at max power, I dont know how much power actually goes through the motor but I assume its a lot more than 250w. And my bike can do this continuously until the battery is empty.

Is my motor running at 50% efficiency, therefore always running at 250w?

Or is peak power something that can be sustained for hours under certain conditions?

Either way, i dont think peak power is even a thing with my ebike. If I climb a hill or fight a really strong headwind, my motor runs at exactly the same power as when im accelerating from a full stop. And it continues at that very power level until the battery is empty.

Do i have a weird bike? Secretly Illegal bike? Or am I not fully understanding how power works?

New hub motor for amyet s8

I am looking for a new rear motor for my amyet s8 but I can't find one I bought a motor kit off Amazon it was 1000 W 20" x 4" motor but the axel 8 inches wide in the clearance was 8 inches so the threading will appear on the other side so it wouldn't fit the bike

I'm looking for a 20 x 4" wheel 1000 W 48 V and I need the axle to be 10 inches so it actually fit into a bike I think 9 inches would work but I really don't know if any other am yet s8 owners know it would help!

Love My eBike But Looking For a Regular Bike That Won't Kill Me to Pedal

Title says it all. I currently have a Zooz Ultra-Flex ebike and absolutely love it. So much fun to ride. But recently I've been craving to try my hand at a standard bicycle... However, I purchased a 24" BMX and it absolutely kills me to try and ride it for any real distance because I live in a hilly area. I'm 42 years old and in decent shape but just don't have the leg power that I used to. For those of you who ride both... what would you consider the best kind of bike to get that isn't going to have me walking up every single hill. I typically ride around town, mostly pavement / sidewalk and I like to hit the dirt and gravel trails as well (my zooz does it ALL very well). Am I dreaming to think there's anything close to as easy to ride as an ebike or should I just stick to bikes with juice? One thing on my mind is having a way of transportation in case SHTF. Thanks in advance.. don't beat me up too bad.

help a brother decide? seeking flexible ebike

https://preview.redd.it/7nrfplpj9yzd1.png?width=3446&format=png&auto=webp&s=e893995e272729f2a1d551dc8954352187f7e142

To the esteemed ebike enthusiasts in this sub: Been researching like mad for a couple weeks now. I've got about $1500 I can spend and I would like to purchase a flexible ebike.

I'm an experienced bike packer. I once traveled cross country on a gravel bike. When I did that, I dreamed of how perfect it would be to bike-pack, but at 20+ mph, so I could spend more time exploring destinations - yet still getting a workout.

BOOM - along came affordable ebikes. And finally, I have a little bit of spare change.

I'm seeking a flexible bicycle for the following use cases:
(1) exercising - zone 2 cardio pedaling, while going a bit faster than an analog bike. definitely want to be able to workout on the bike.

(2) Commuting to work. Less than 3 miles each way. For this I'd prefer a throttle - so I could make it to work without getting sweaty. Disqualifies most mid-drive bikes, including this forum's beloved Yamahas with their amazing discount. Or something like specialized turbo creo. I'm sure I would also like these bikes (and I'd prefer dropbars) but I don't see many with throttle.

(3) bike packing - I’d like to put 15-30 lbs of gear on the rear rack of the bicycle and travel up to 40+ miles on a charge. Peddling is fine in low assist level, but I’d like to average above or near 20mph. riding mostly on roads and some rail/gravel trails.

I'm most seriously considering the following commuter ebikes.

Ride1up 700 - https://ride1up.com/product/700-series/

pros: good components, solid reviews, good range, i like the look. settings highly adjustable.

cons: cadence sensor. no affiliated bike shops near me.

lectric Xpress 750 https://lectricebikes.com/products/xpress-750-high-step-ebike

pros: torque sensor. two nearby affiliated bike shops. settings adjustable. good range. for $1500 i could get a second battery thrown in.

cons: apparently it's loud. low to medium quality components. ugly (to me)

Aventon level.2

pros: torque sensor. affiliated shops. good range. good components.

cons: i've heard not as fast/customizable as the two previous because of less powerful motor.

I'm also less seriously considering a few fat tires. I know they weigh a lot, but they get very high range. Plus some can ride 30+ mph.

Ariel rider kepler - 1500 https://arielrider.com/products/kepler?variant=41480402469040

\-**wired freedom** 2k [https://wiredebikes.com/products/wired-freedom](https://wiredebikes.com/products/wired-freedom)

\-**aventon adventure2** [https://www.aventon.com/products/aventure2-ebike?variant=42255489466563](https://www.aventon.com/products/aventure2-ebike?variant=42255489466563)

Anybody have any relevant experience or advice that could help me make this decision? In the ebike world, $1500 might not be a lot, but in my world, it's not an amount I'd like to spend willy nilly. I'm most seriously considering the ride1up 700, but I'm worried about the cadence sensor. Wish I could get the lmtd v2 but it's not shipping till January.
