So i went on my first half marathon run and ran, and when i came back to look how i did it only said that pr in the 20k, why doesnt it say half marathon even tho i ran 21k?
There's a local guy who's recorded all his ebike rides as regular rides. He's on top of all the local leaderboards. His time on any segment is possible, but then you look at his whole ride and he's riding that speed the entire time, AND he's posted pictures of his ebike! I've flagged dozens or hundreds of his rides, but now if I click on his leaderboard time, instead of taking me to his ride I get the message "The requested activity could not be found". Clicking on his profile takes you to a page with no information. Just his name and "-" for "followers" and "following" and an option to block him. Did he delete his account but they haven't taken down his rides? Has he blocked me (did he somehow figure out I'd been flagging all his rides)? Did Strava decide I'd flagged too many of his rides?
They’re FINALLY getting around to removing cars and e-bikes from leaderboards… https://strava.app.link/KuOr2LGH2Ob
Hi all
Wondering if anyone else has had the same issue?
Since the last update, the background of maps within an activity no longer load for me. As you'll see from the screenshot, all I see if a white background with the GPS trace.
I've already tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, but this hasn't solved the problem. Maps on the timeline are unaffected, but this issue is affecting the maps of my connections that I view too.
Any thoughts?
I have lots of friends who choose not to use Strava simply because it lacks bouldering as an activity. They said the current climbing activity doesn't work for bouldering, because it's based on distance. Difficulty and time are more important for bouldering than distance. Thoughts?
My friend and I have been using the strava app on our watches to track our runs. But I just found out the strava app on Apple Watch doesn't actually track some stats like ground contact time, stride length, etc. so I'm considering switching over to Apple Fitness + exporting to Strava.
My friend said that the Apple Fitness tracking pace is off and always shows him running faster than when he uses the strava app. Does anyone have a similar experience with this?
Is there a way for an echelon smart bike to auto sync to Strava?
I have a Samsung 4 Watch.
I integrated Samsung with Strava. I started off going on runs using strava on my watch. The run would log but my heart rate data wouldn't come across junto the strava app.
I tried starting the run on my phone on strava instead of watch. Run was recorded but heart rate didn't show on strava.
Tried using Samsung health to record the run instead, not going near the strava app. Opened the strava app after run and my run automatically popped up to edit/post as soon as the app opened. Worked perfectly, all data transferred to strava including heart rate.
Then the next run samsung logged the correct time I ran but the app froze 3km in so it didn't accurately track everything. Have had a good few runs though using Samsung health and it has worked perfectly 9/10.
I tried to relink everything - by phone, by PC, by tablet. I uninstalled everything and reinstalled but strava still can't take my heart rate data
If I run both apps together, I have two seperate runs logged on strava when I open it, with samsung health version being the correct one with the heart rate data saved. No devices are ever in power saving and all apps and watch have full permissions
I'm going crazy. I can't rely on samsung because it froze (I also paused and unpaused - that didn't reset the distance but continued to log time). I would prefer to use strava as it's easier to see the big pace clock on my phone screen as I run
What can I try :(
If my account is private but I still appear on leaderboards and joint activities - if I block someone on strava, will they be able to see me appear on joint activities (if they follow my friends) and leaderboards?
I have 6 efforts on this segment in the past few months and the current leader is 3, yet Strava is telling me I have no efforts on the leaderboard. Why
Are you a paid subscriber? What's your favorite paid feature? Wondering if its worth the upgrade.
Thanks.
Edit: Thanks for your responses so far! One last question: What would you like to have on the subscription in order to make you a subscriber?
first to admit - not thrilled to see an immortal KOM when it's a 76 mph effort on a half mile distance with 3 stop signs from 2007.
however, this "excluded efforts" "feature" is using a trash methodology. I don't have the data science brain to pick it all apart, but I noticed one glaring flaw. if GPS bugs a segment, and it's in the midst of other longer segments, all of the segments that include that segment get excluded.
for instance, I had a 598 mph effort on a 0.33 mile segment, lasting 2 seconds. 100% GPS bug. however, this segment is in the middle of 8 other segments - all of which have pretty normal speeds and times. nonetheless they were all excluded.
I have a garmin forerunner 965 and sync to strava. I've done some googling but haven't seen a solution to adjust incline or elevation gain on a treadmill in garmin or strava? Seems like the only was to upload a manual activity which is not what I want.
Recently weather has been bad and my shoulder's been injured so I've been using the Stairmaster in my apartment gym. I use the Garmin Forerunner Stair Stepper activity, and am able to edit the elevation gain in the Garmin Connect app. However, it doesn't show any elevation gain on the Strava activity. I'm not even able to re-export the Garmin activity and re-upload, it looks like it's just fully not supported to add elevation gain to Stair Stepper.
Even when manually adding an activity (which I'd like to avoid as I want to keep the heart rate data and other watch stats) I'm not able to add Elevation gain to Stair Stepper.
Am I missing something or is this just not possible?
.
I'm going skiing soon and would love to log my activity on Strava, however I'm unsure if Strava downhill ski option will differentiate between downhill (skiing) and uphill (lifts) and adjust the total distance, time and speed stats for each day accordingly. Can anyone help answer this?
If I didn’t have the graph, it doesn’t look like I did an incline and decline. I don’t get how this column is helpful
So an old riding buddy of mine joined a Trump strava club. #smh. That's great for him. The problem is I've gotten this club upsell entry in my feed that last ten times I've gone to the web site, and there is no way to tell Strava that I'm not interest. No: I don't want to unfollow this person. He's a good guy despite his current political fogginess.
Feature: Add ability to tell Strava I'm not interested in a certain Club so that I don't see anymore upsells in my feed. The feature might have various levels of specificity. Just like the Reddit "..." one gets for any and all feed items.
I have a newer Wahoo that won't let me pair with my phone to Strava as my phone's IOS is older. So now I have to pair with an ipad. Has anyone experienced this?

Concern: Gifting subscription not working.
Since yesterday, I've noticed that the "Give a Gift" button appeared on the Strava Website and the mobile app settings page on my Strava.
However, upon trying to visit/clicking the button it only redirects me to the homepage. Tried other options to and diffeent network connections but to no avail. The only way I could access the "Give a gift" is through using a VPN and it will only work on US and EU regions.
Therefore I assume that "Give a Gift" is only available on US / EU regions. Is there anyone who is from Asia who is also experiencing this issue?
How long does it take to process a 10km run? It's been like half an hour and the walk I did of 7km afterwards got immediately uploaded. I use strava on galaxy watch. I tried doing a fake run of a few seconds on my watch and that got immediately uploaded too. This is the first time i used strava ://
I want to activate a family plan with some of my friends. They live in Amsterdam, I live in Berlin.
Now, my profile settings show that my location is Amsterdam. However, when I use their family plan activation link, Strava tells me that I can’t join since I don’t live in the same location as my friend.
Does Strava just assume where I live based on where I do most my activities? And is there any workaround for this?
Already tried opening the link on a device that’s connected to The Netherlands through VPN, but that didn’t work.
Has this been happening to anyone else recently? A few Strava clubs for brands and races that I want to follow, I have had user posts muted for a while so I don’t get annoying notifications and posts from random people like this in my feed… but recently they’ve started showing up anyways?
When I click this post the option even says “UNmute” then how is it showing up in my feed if it’s muted lol?
Strava prioritizes moving time. I think this is idiotic. When I’m scrolling through my activities to gauge progress, seeing only moving time is irrelevant. Why? When I’m out of shape I take more breaks and therefore take longer to get through a run. Then, as I progress I may have a run where I don’t take any breaks (progress!) but I’m slogging through and running slow. The moving time might be slower than when I took lots of breaks so it looks like I regressed, but the elapsed time is less. Not taking breaks is a huge win and I want that reflected in my time.
Is there a setting to change this??
