XS frame, 24”, ghetto singlespeed conversion, my first time taking a bike apart altogether!
What would be a good basket recommendation for a GT rear and front with this style handlebars?
Scrolling the old bikes category on my local listing website, I found this "stumpjumper" with what I assume not an original fork. But I'm more interested in the frame, I can't found the year of production of a red stumpjumper Can anyone help me ?
It has ritchey dropouts and headset and a nitanium ritchey pro logic tubing sticker.
Picked this up for $400CAD/$290USD - Gonna put widest tires I can on it and rip it
I just want to ask how you guys like the Surly corner bar? I am considering it for my Trek FX2 as converting to full drops is way too expensive as I have hydraulic disc, comfort over long distances how the "hoods" and "drops" feel and general stability over flat bars.
I would love to buy this but it'd be wasted on me.

I hope to buy a gravel bike some day but they're hard to come by used in an XL frame.
Meanwhile, I have this flat bar 90s MTB with no suspension that sort of works. It weighs 13kg but I weigh 90kg, so who really cares. It brakes hard enough to lock the wheels using V brakes. It is vaguely able to shift gears without throwing the chain and has some 1.95x26 semi slicks which are worth more than the rest of the bike.
Are there any kind of cheap bar extensions I can add to get a more aero position for straight flat boring roads and downhill? It doesn't really matter if I can't reach the brakes or gears, I'd only use that position when it's obviously safe to do so.
Looking for something light and skinny maybe 1.75-1.50. I'm mainly just riding in the city and light gravel trails.
Bike originally had V brakes. Maybe not the most elegant way to make this work, but it works. Inner tube shim under a stainless cable clamp with a connected seat post collar cable stop and a short piece of housing. Excellent stopping power and feel.
I bought this the other day, I don't need another bike, I have no space for another bike, but it was love at first sight.
This old goofer has a 31 inch wheelbase, 16 inch wheels and 52 tooth chain ring. A recipe for sweet wheelies and going way too fuckin fast.
It's 100% original down to the tubes, that still hold 40 psi pressure somehow. Can't bring myself to change anything yet but still looking for ideas, inspiration, suggestions as always.
Can't seem to find much options for knobbier tyres in this oddball 16x1 3/8 size, it's like people dont wanna take folding bikes off paved roads or something hahaha
Purchased this beast 3 years ago second hand to see if i would like cycling. Absolutely fell in love and use it to commute now. I am going to convert it to ebike and add bmx handle bars, new pedals, grips etc, so this is the "before" photo.
I’d build a tiny camper on it that could be pulled by bike. Probably going to need some serious gear range on the towing bike and legs the size of my waist.
