I’ve started riding them and I’d like to help with maintenance, seeing if there are any scheduled work days coming up
Hello RVA bikes! Moved to the east end a couple months ago and currently looking for cool peeps to shred bikes with! Hope to meet some of you and rip what the east end has to offer⚡️
Hey y'all, I'm new to the area and looking to invest in a bike. Where is the best place to look for used bikes? Do I need to have been fitted first to know my sizing? let me know your thoughts
If you need parts, want to try trade, get down to Stone before 4pm. Bike jumble happening now.

Hi all!
I am a VCU advertising student conducting market research for a local Richmond non-profit that involves those of you within the cycling community!
My groupmates and I would love if you could take our survey below!
We want you to know that all survey answers are anonymous and confidential. We will only be using these results for in-class research purposes.
This survey should only take you about 3-5 minutes to complete.
Thanks so much!
I have a gravel bike and a full suspension mountain bike. Open to any and all types of riding! I live near GwarBar.
Richmond's 10th Bike Walk RVA Academy is accepting applications this week (until February 23). The previous 9 editions have graduated about 180 "Champions" who are responsible for more of the progress for biking and walking the past decade.
This isn't for internet complainers or bike racers - we help you learn how to be a more effective advocate to get stuff done. Like the Tyler Potterfield Bridge. The Capital Trail. The Fall Line. Brook Road's bike lane.
Apply soon!

I’ve started enjoying some off-road riding, but I’m not really looking for mountain biking (but if you love it, rock on!). I live in the VUU area, but I’m comfortable riding a bit to get to some good trails. So far I’ve enjoyed puttering around the trails behind Pine Camp and throughout Bryan Park. I like some of the easier bits of Belle Isle. I also mostly enjoyed some single-track between Dogwood Dell and the Pump House, though that’s probably at my limit for technical riding.
What other stuff is out there that I’m missing? I’m talking about actual trails, too, not simply cutting through the woods somewhere :-D
Where’s the fun off-road riding within city limits that’s good for casual cycling?
Not on Facebook (or Insta because it’s Facebook), but as I’ve become way more serious about riding, I’m on the lookout for opportunities to ride with other people.
Looking for Chill rides (not racing, really not trying to drop anybody, but comfortable riding between 10 and 30 miles on mixed surfaces).
Stuff I’m aware of but have yet to have been able to participate:
Anything else?
Let’s get this sub going again. Where are the group rides in Richmond and surrounding areas?
Hey friends! I’m a very seasoned MTB rider and was looking to meet new riders alike, and was looking for insight. I love the butter milk trail system and want to see more…
Groups, MTB specific, meet ups, shop rides..help me get back to East Coast trails with crew!
Just wanted to see how active this sub was ^^
My bike frame has some damage and I’m looking for someone or some place that can fix it. I would appreciate any recommendations
Hey y’all,
I’ve been riding fixed for a long time now and I’m looking to get into crit racing - anyone know if there are any groups that train fixed gear or where the closest crit races would be other than NYC?
Thanks!
Gone. My red and black Y2k Specialized Hardrock with gumwall tires, Avatar gel seat, and slightly busted mirror on the left handlebar got stolen early morning on 06/15/2020. Should have had a better lock on it now that it's all souped up and ready to go. DM me if you see it!
So I can't wear contact lenses, and my Rx sunglasses work okayish, they definitely fog up easily and don't cover as much. Looking to make that next step up but does anyone have any recommendations?
I'm headed abroad for a bikepacking trip in a couple weeks and am looking for a box or bag to take my bike on the plane. All the bags are pretty expensive so was hoping I can borrow one from someone! Or if anyone has any bike-on-plane tips I'd appreciate it.
What are your suggested routes for biking down Midlothian? I really want to ride my bike to work but it seems treacherous. Just looking for any advice or suggested alternate routes.
Warwick and Hull to Midlothian and Kroger Blvd
Anyone on here do riding events around 6:00 pm ish? I've been wanting to go ride with other cyclists around downtown, carytown, The Fan or any other areas near these. I have a single speed road bike.
Where can I go to sell some track bike parts/frame? I haven't ridden this style in years and just lugged this stuff to RVA (moved here 1.5months ago) and I have decided to stop putting it off
I have already posted the items up on craigslist. I might go ask around at some bike shops. There must still be people who ride these things as I see track/ss bikes locked up all around downtown/fan.
If anyone knows of a 29 inch mountain bike tire being stolen, let me know. I'm going to beat the living shit out of whoever stole my rear tire. Located near VCU
