Y’all fall for anything to feel like a good person. Maybe America isn’t Reddit.
Now we can help all those people pack that want to leave the United States if President Trump won. 😁
I'm very happy that we collectively chose liberty and freedom! Thanks for being a great host state, and thanks for electing with your brains <3
I live in the south now, and look at all the abortion problems we have had.
Why would you look at project 2025 and decide it’s a good thing for the northeast?
I hope your pretzels are soggy forever 🙂
I thought we had this; I truly did.
I have, and will, continue to believe in all my fellow Pennsylvanians that fought for equality, autonomy and compassion.
But right now I’m absolutely heartbroken. I’m saddened that the love and light we have in our commonwealth wasn’t enough to dissuade the delusions, bigotry and sexism. That somehow, light didn’t prevail.
I wish it were enough; our fight, our commitment, our passion. I’m so, so saddened. Our commonwealth, our nation, deserves better. I’m mourning the loss of that dream while also fearing what is to come.
Pennsylvania will always deserve better. And we can’t stop fighting for it.
Tonight, I’m heartbroken. I’m truly beset with heavy tears for our commonwealth and our country. I have no doubt that those tears will continue to fall in the coming years.
I also know that we will continue to fight, to stand up, to be the voice against injustice. It’s up to us to continue to carry on, day by day, even as we wipe away our tears. We have to do this for each other, for ourselves, for those we don’t know among us. We do it because it’s what’s right.
I cry along with you. I will keep crying with you. I will also keep fighting for what is right. Pennsylvania - and all of us - deserves better. And for that - we keep going. Beyond today, and into tomorrow.
To everyone who has been at each other's throats for the past few months please do the best you can to be civil. And I know this will get taken down but the voters have spoken ....Trump 2024.
I'm not exactly sure what that means for the state other than stagnation in the worst way
I’
270 to trump... Never seen it just get completely blown in the first night like that.. America will be changed forever for the worse.
Edit: yall are actually bots. I look through your history.
I'm planning a trip to the Mutter Museum this month and I saw there's a program where you can get a Library Partner Pass to visit for free. I'm coming from Maryland so I was wondering if this is something I could sign up for to take advantage of even though I don't live in PA?
As the title says, my wife and i want to move our family out of Texas in the future. we are tied of the insane summers and also of politics. i just have a few questions.
im sure everyone knows about reproductive rights in Texas, but im not familiar with them in Pennsylvania.
we also have crazy property taxes instead of income tax and generally we end up paying the same if not more than states that do have income tax. curious on how everyone feels about the amount of taxes paid and if its being well spent.
summers in Texas are insane brutal. last year we had the heat dome and over 40 days straight of no rain and 100+ heat. how hot do summers get? does it cool off quite a bit at night? at least in houston, the sun setting doesnt really do much to help with the heat. itll easily be over 80-90 at night in the peak of summer.
not really worried about work as i can transfer for work to Pittsburgh, more specifically Moon township.
any advice would be fantastic! thanks!
Just curious :)
Have seen it said: Lee-high, Lay-he
Is it either of those?
Thanks for having me.
I had the form downloaded, but I think I read that a replacement need to be deemed necessary by a repair shop/mechanic? is this true? mine looks awful and you can't see much color any longer
I'm posting this for my semi-elderly mother. I'm also cross-posting to r/lancaster
She received parking tickets from the City of Lancaster. The pictures show her license plate but it's not her car. Lancaster pictures show a blue Subaru Accent from LCM. My mom's car is a black Subaru Forester from LCM. The City of Lancaster tickets do not include VIN information.
I had my mom call her local township police prior to trudging to the DMV. DMV phone rep says to go in person and bring documentation. Township police say it isn't a police matter because the plates aren't stolen, but they don't think PennDOT duplicates license plates.
City of Lancaster police department says that my mom can only protest the ticket by going to court with an attorney and prove the car and license plate in the photos aren't hers. This seems ridiculous and extreme.
Does anyone have any insight other than going to the DMV?
Hello, i have to study a historical period of pennsylvania's history for a private project.
Is there a part of this state's history that is actually really interesting to study?
"CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Widespread voting issues are being reported in precincts across Cambria County, Pennsylvania Tuesday morning.
WJAC spoke with voters who said the machines were unable to scan ballots.
Some precincts are reportedly putting cast paper ballots in lock boxes to be scanned at a later time.
Others are reportedly telling voters to return later in the day once the machines are fixed.
WJAC reached out to the Department of State who directed us to the Cambria County Election Office."
It does not block any window and my car is low enough that it won’t hit any overpasses. It would only be on suburban backroads too, no highways or anything. Just trying to figure out if I’m gonna get pulled over. Google isn’t helping at all.
I’m interested in visiting these places in person so bonus if any of these businesses have a store front!
In the NJ sub there's a plumber reporting getting calls from people whose wells have gone dry.
I'm just curious if anyone has heard of wells going dry in Pennsylvania yet and in what area?
The various lakes/reservoirs like Green Lane, Blue Marsh and Ontelaunee sure do look low.
So I’m from Bucks County PA, and I moved to West Virginia. I frequently travel to and from PA to visit family and friends. Part of the route I travel down Bedford Valley Rd. I’ve done this trip around 10 times, all times of the day, and EVERY TIME I get this unsettling feeling. I feel nervous, like I’m being watched. No matter the time of day, none of the houses off this road seem to have anybody living in them. No lights on, no vehicles… a few older looking white churches with big crosses but no signs, and these churches have big spotlights shining on them. It’s overall a very unsettling feeling. Almost like uncanny valley. I find myself extremely on edge in this area.
I thought surely I was overthinking this feeling, that is until my boyfriend traveled with me. He told me he felt so uncomfortable. We’re both well travelled people who have been on many road trips. Neither of us have ever had this feeling elsewhere.
Does anybody know anything about this road? I’ve looked to google but found nothing. I consider myself a skeptic, but is there anything paranormal or any rumors of paranormal activity? I’d love to hear if so!
Thank you for reading ❤️
