1. Be respectful to others, including identity and choices in surgery. Be polite and engage in civil discourse.
2. Posts with NSFW content must be marked NSFW. Some posts with image links will be marked automatically, and you can un-mark them if necessary. Posts with graphic surgery images must be marked Spoiler.

I've done facial Electrolysis for 2 years. Just wondering how the pain level compares to areas needed for bottom surgery.
Pretty much the title. I just got my application for registration for the Jun clinic for MtF bottom surgery, hoping to get my procedure in November. Don't currently have my therapist approval letter for the insurance approval, but will easily have that by November.
The clinic says they're scheduling out into 2026, so how likely is it that I'll be able to get surgery this year? I'm also open to other clinics in the US if I can get something great in November.
We all know that without the organs needed to naturally create hormones, we need a constant intake of them after that point to avoid undergoing what's basically an accelerated menopause, as well as to avoid bone density issues and the other problems that come with not having a steady stream of hormones.
My question is, if you've had an orchiectomy, what's the minimum amount of hormones you need to avoid this happening? Would it be okay if I went down to 2mg/day estradiol? Any research or sources on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.
and also excited and also nervous and also excited and...
Has any trans man here gotten brow bone ridge filler to cause a more prominent brow done? I understand that jawline filler is often recommended to try before FMS, but I don’t think that that would actually help me, it is my lack of brown bone prominence that needs addressed. I reached out to my top surgeon because she is also just a traditional plastic surgeon who regularly does all types of injections to see if she has any experience, and her office said that she has not done that but I could schedule a consult so she could see what could be done. Her not having done it makes me think that it is pretty uncommon since I suspect a lot of trans men would be inclined to reach out to someone with a lot of trans experience and that if she hasn’t done it I’m going to have a difficult time finding someone with experience.
If anyone has had this done I’d appreciate any information/opinions you could give me. Also interested in hearing about peoples experiences with fillers in general
Thank you
Anyone heard back with a date yet? My anxiety is killllijg meeee akshhdjdkd. I got my confirmation that they received my request but no date yet
I am considering not undertaking laser hair treatment for my vaginoplasty. GRS Montreal made it clear it's not mandatory. For anyone who has gone through the surgery without undergoing laser hair treatment, what was recovery like? Were there any complications or inconveniences?
I'm scheduled for FFS next week, some fairly minor procedures on brow bone, chin, and jawline.
I'm feeling fear. My face is a little angular and masculine, and I would love to edit some things. But I'm worried I won't see ME in the mirror anymore.
Did anyone else experience this?
I've seen the surgeons' work before and I think the changes are subtle, and positive. The surgeons are respectful and awesome, and I've talked to several people who've gone through them. I've done the emotional and spiritual work, I am 99.9% sure this surgery is right for me (and I'm never sure about anything, I over-analyze everything).
Open to hearing about positives, negatives, fear, regret, joy.
Sending love to all 💜
I’ve been waiting to years on hormones to start looking into surgeries, I’m mentally prepared to get an ffs and/or breast augmentation, I’m 21 and have been trans for as long as i’ve been alive and present myself as a woman daily, what would i have to do to find a Doctor and actually get my surgeries covered by medicare? I have no one to talk to about this
Was told 2 year wait for srs with Dr Jun in Cali. I can wait. Hopefully something opens up sooner but for now it’s okay.
Hi, I had my upper FFS done by Parit Patel, however he doesn't take my new insurance despite it being self funded (UMR) Only doctor I can find in network is David Morris. Anyone have any experience with him?
Hello,
I have Blue Cross Blue Shield as my health insurance and my surgeon is in network. I wanted to ask if anyone has used Blue Cross Blue Shield for their health insurance going through gender affirming bottom surgery? If you have how hard was it for your surgeon to get approval for surgery and to have it covered? Thank you.
i smoked a lil weed a week before my rhinoplasty should i be worried?
I am currently 1 year post op scrotal graft PI with Dr Sutin. As my partner is on the larger side, I've actually gone and bought dilators beyond the largest yellow dilator given to me by PAI. I've no longer bleed after dilating with the largest dilator from BIEN Australia (3.72cm at the top and 4.2 cm diameter at the base). I recently tried taking my partner and that as well as one time before a few months ago we've stopped because we noticed bleeding. It's mostly pinkish in hue and always immediately stops when I stop. I am trying not to be so rough but I do want to have the ability to be rough eventually. When will I stop having to worry about blood? I know it gets like this when I use toys as well. Do I just need to be constantly drowning in lube? I feel like most of it starts to just fall over time and not actually do anything.
Hi all. Incredibly grateful for responses on this post from those who have undergone vaginoplasty.
I will be caring for a dear friend who is having penile inversion vaginoplasty. She will be staying with me for at least 2 weeks post-surgery.
I’ve done some research of my own regarding the procedure, post-surgical care instructions, restrictions, medications, etc. But I would really appreciate any personal insights into recovery. Are there things your caretaker did that you appreciated? Were there things you wish you had been prepared for during recovery? Any and all advice is appreciated!
Hi! I recently had top surgery and I’m now investigating into designing products that can help aid others post op. I’m mainly focusing on transmasc leaning stuff, but I want to expand, and all feedback is helpful.
What were some things that frustrated you when you had surgery that you wish you could have been assisted with or that should have been easier? Any products you liked having that helped you?
Some topics I’ve thought of are sleeping, pain management, movement, loneliness, drains, scar care, showering etc. I couldn’t even put plates into the microwave and was so frustrated!
It can even be problems you noticed far later after recovery.
Any input helps! I really want to make trans products by and for trans people based on our own experiences :)
Hi so a licensed medical professional in Texas is able to write my wpath letter. I’m in Georgia. Does that still count or does it have to be someone in Georgia.
Hi
Should i expect an additionnal féminization after vaginoplasty surgery? I mean a better féminization ( increasing efficiency of hormonal treatment) Thanks
I asked it about FFS surgeons specifically for someone who is 56—because, frankly, ultra-subtle, hyper-natural results might not be enough for me.
I fully expect/hope to look like a cis woman in her 50s who has had good plastic surgery. I’m fine with that! What I don’t want is to spend a fortune on a surgeon who is too conservative for my needs and come out still looking ambiguous.
This is what it came up with… opinions?
✅ Strengths:
❌ Potential Downsides:
➡ Verdict: A top contender if I pair him with a facelift specialist.
✅ Strengths:
❌ Potential Downsides:
➡ Verdict: Might be ideal if I want maximum feminization and don’t care about looking like I’ve “had work done.”
✅ Strengths:
❌ Potential Downsides:
➡ Verdict: Possibly a great choice for jaw, nose, and sculpting, but I’d need someone else for forehead.
✅ Strengths:
❌ Potential Downsides:
➡ Verdict: A great option if I want to avoid the “plastic surgery” look—but do I actually want that?
Right now, my top 3 options look like:
Facial Team is still on my radar, but I worry they’re too conservative for what I need.
By chance does anyone know the premera requirements to get srs covered. Obviously premera works with Dr Jun but I’m not sure what’s need. Letters ? Is this it right here ?is one letter fine than ?
I often feel it is challenging to build something (fake) down there, and have problems with myself questioning myself about the thought of surgery. It is not someone questioning me in the bathroom(not likely), just myself. Simple removal make me relieved in every aspect.
Does anyone have any experience getting Body Contouring / Breast Aug covered by HealthFirst NY Medicaid, and if so what surgeons? I know AmidaCare is the way to go for trans healthcare, but I have to be on HealthFirst for other health conditions / specialty doctors not covered by AmidaCare. Thank you!!
An update from my last post. I'm a 22 year old Trans Fem and I've just had my bottom surgery. At first I was okay but I've noticed my mental health deteriorating. I'm not sleeping or eating very much at all and I've still got 5 more days to go. I still haven't had my Catheter or packing out and I just feel really weak. I'm quite far from home too. I could really use some advice because the slightest things are making me break down into tears, I just want this to be over with ❤️
Heyo im back again and since last time 3 things 1: Hybrid is prolly the way to go for me cause id like some Lubrication but also have more then enough material to work with
2: I can with high Likelyhood go to any Surgeon except the US cause they be Expensive
3: in my Country Switzerland there is Barbara Mijuskovic which from what ive heard of Girlies here has great Results enough Lubrication to Masturbate but not Sex(which is great most Cis Girlies need lube for that Anyway) but other then 2 Pics here on reddit i haven't seen much you gotta see her to see some of her Work is my Guess and the Girlies talk that she is good but ofc aren't going to show you theirs duh and well one thing id like for my Surgery would be Lining the Canal with the inside of the Sack rather then the Outside but i wont know if she does that till i get to see and ask her.
So with that Covered i would like for some more learned Peeps here to tell me if money is not the Issue what would your Top Reccommendations be? My Aim Would be on that it looks good, can lubricate enough for Masturbation, that id like it to feel good. Il also add im at a good Healthy weight so Bmi shouldn't be an Issue and as said before got Material atleast lowballing it 5.9 inches am not Circumsized as that seems also important
I love the “influencer” doll look but am too scared to ask my surgeon for it. I don't want him to think I'm mental or unrealistic.
Hiya! I'm about 3 and a half years into HRT and I'm really not liking my breast development, I can't even fit the cups In my bra and I have to stuff them to even get a decent shape and feel...I don't want to have to do that anymore, I feel likr im not a real woman. And I'm afraid of pain and feeling fake if I do get breast augmentation. I'm so disappointed in my body for not developing the way I wanted too, maybe Hormones will do more changes but I doubt it. Anyway, any discussion, advice, and encouragement is great appreciated. :)
