For people who have had UL and have fully recovered from surgery (I’m talking like at least a year post op, and even longer term into the future), I am curious to know: have you had any urinary tract issues related to your new urethra that popped up further along the line?
I am hoping to get UL, and hear a lot about short term issues post op (fistula, etc), but am curious to know if anyone has had issues with UL further down the line post op. Thanks!
I have the full meta scheduled with Dr Miro on the 18th of this month. The more I read of other people posts the more the meta seems to actually be the least painful part and it's the hysterectomy that is extremely painful. I'm extremely anxious about getting meta let alone hysterectomy as well.
Has anyone had meta without getting a hysterectomy? Is it super necessary or can I do without it? If the general consensus IS to get it done, are there any tips for pain management?
Im asking this because I’m French and one of the best SRS surgeons in France is good at doing meta but he doesn’t do extended meta for now. I really want to get meta in the following years but extended meta is truly a dream, and if he proposes this technique in the future I would love to get a revision, but I don’t know if it’s possible.
Also, I’m currently having a hard time with bottom dysphoria lately and I want to buy the smallest and squishiest packer I found (the archer small), but I’m scared the difference between the packer and my results after the surgery will be too different in terms of size (I have a good bottom growth size but it would still be very different), and so making me more dysphoric. So I’m feeling kind of stuck now. Does anyone here packed before surgery but is now content with the size of his private parts ?
Did someone manage to have stealth sex?
I'm hurrying to get surgery before it gets banned. I've got my hysto scheduled for the middle of next month. I requested two weeks (unpaid) off work.
How much time would I have to take off for simple meta? Just releasing it from the labia minora, not even getting the suspensory ligament cut? I feel like it'd be really pushing my luck with my boss to take off work for surgery twice in one year.
Does any Aussies know if any part of meta can be claimed on Medicare? I will be getting meta done with Dr Miro in Serbia
Simple meta, scrotoplasty fat & tissue filled, no UL, no v-nectomy. 2 weeks post op today. I'm definitely sick of healing now, I think things have been going pretty well, just patiently waiting for things to close up. Tactile sensation seems to be pretty good over most of the area with only a small spot on the scrotum being more numb. Nothing is too hyper sensitive which is convenient. So that's all been pretty nice. I think erections have been happening here and there too, but it's still all pretty swollen and hard to gauge. Things are looking way less swollen. Pain has been manageable and I'm almost entirely on paracetamol now. I've found cleaning the area pretty tricky but doing my best with my surgeons instructions. Mentally it's been a bit harder the past couple of days because it doesn't look hugely different from a couple of days back and I'm feeling impatient with the healing and how it'll all settle. I'm also not at home yet so I think that's beginning to wear on me a bit too.
Hey everyone, I had stage one of my complete meta this year for which I had to pay $12,500 out of pocket. I was hit with this big cost about 2 weeks before my surgery date and my insurance company wouldn't reimburse me for it. My question is, do any of you guys have experience with claiming the cost of your surgery on your tax return? I'm not feeling too confident in ever getting that money back, but I am hoping I'm wrong.
I’ve been waiting for this surgery for about 3-4 years. I showed up to the hospital yesterday, as my surgery was supposed to be today. The surgeon is sick, so my surgery is rescheduled to January 9th 2025. I’m absolutely devastated.
I know it’s not the end of the world, but this is the weakness of a system where only one surgeon is able to preform this surgery in the entire fucking country. If there was one more surgeon in my country who is able to preform it, my surgery wouldn’t have needed to be rescheduled.. I’m actually broken rn and have been crying my eyes out since I got the news.
I don’t know how I’m supposed to live with this disgusting body for over a month longer. My dysphoria is through the roof and I just feel fucking disgusting.
TLDR: My surgery got rescheduled to january 9th 2025 because of the surgeon being sick.
For those of you able to penetrate, are there positions that work better than others?
In September I had a simple release and monsplasty with Dr. Kent. As I have said before in here, I’m not happy with how the monsplasty turned out. My penis is still hidden due to a lot of loose skin from weight loss.
Well Dr. Kent agreed during my last post-op and referred me to her colleague in plastic surgery, Dr. Cauley. I met with him this morning.
Initially there was some confusion as to why I was there. The medical assistant asked me for surgery letters and other initial intake questions without considering that I’m post-op and won’t need new letters.
The nurse however was excellent. Gave me a great deal of information and was very knowledgeable about the surgery I am wanting. Dr. Cauley was a little confused at first thinking I was just there for loose skin removal. Once I cleared up why Dr. Kent referred me, he was eager to help.
After taking a look at what’s going on, he told me he felt very confident he could give me exactly what I’m looking for. So now I wait for insurance to approve it (which they should) and I’ll get a surgery date. I’m excited to look at myself in the mirror and see the me I’ve worked so hard for.
Hey,
I have contacted the surgery clinic regarding the following issue and they have said that everything looks ok. I am seeing them in person next week too but I just wanted to know if anyone ended had experienced this.
I’m 4 weeks post Metoidioplasty, v-ectomy, scrotoplasty and UL. I currently have a foley catheter that should be getting removed next week. I no longer have the catheter bag during the day as am needing to get my bladder ready for removal so have the catheter plugged up and emptied when needing to use the toilet. Since removing the bag I have seen some changes in the tip of the phallus, almost like I can see some of the inside. When I wake up it’s also now bloody. I’m assuming this is from the catheter being moved around more during the day and was wondering if anyone else had experienced this?
It bleeds on and off but nothing too bad, yesterday I also had some blood/urine come out the side of where the catheter tube is when I was emptying the catheter. This has only happened once and wasn’t painful at all.
Secondly, I have experienced bleeding for the past two weeks just under the phallus, neither myself or my partner can see any wound separation. It seems it’s almost Draining site got my scrotom as wherever I experience a bigger bleed, the scrotom gets very small and squishy instead of hard and a bit fluidy. The doctor has said everything looks fine but I’m almost constantly bleeding and I just don’t understand why, especially 4 weeks post op.
Is there anyone that’s had this problem as well? If so, when did it stop?
Thank you 🙏🏼
Hello all I was wondering if you have a bulge after your healed from surgery. I know that you basically work with what you had b4 surgery but I’m interested to see some pictures in underwear with before surgery and then healed.
Hi all,
I’m planning ahead for second stage meta with Dr. Santucci. Can anyone fill me in on their experience? How did it compare to the first one in terms of pain/recovery/ will I need another catheter? Etc.
Who do you all think are the top meta doctors? Thanks for the leads.
I guess this means i have the call to wait on to get my date. Someoone told me to keep calling for updates and they might speed up the process a bit. Idk i just feel excited that i might know my date soon
I think I’m going crazy with the underside of my shaft. The stitches are making it feel painful and itchy all at once. I can tell it’s a bit swollen in that area too because it didn’t look like this before. Please tell me how to help and how long this is going to last? The stitches are wayyyy not fun and all internal.
Hello! I’ve had surgery, a full metoidioplasty and scrotoplasty without implants. My length is not sufficient to urinate while standing. My diameter is about 1.5 cm in a flaccid state. The Rod is expensive, and I’ve found an alternative, but it’s a stroker. I can make a hole in the front part. Its hole diameter is 2 cm. Do you think I could use it in the same way as The Rod, by creating a vacuum? Does anyone have experience with this?
I’m 2 and a half weeks post op full meta. I have medium implants with the bifid scrotum method. I have been “milking” my balls down into place but they keep moving back up higher than where I’d like them to be. I am keeping my legs spread wide while sitting and walking and pushing the implants down every chance I get (each time I sit down). My doctor said they will form a sac and settle into place around 4 week post op. What was y’all’s experience with this? Getting a little worried they won’t stay where i want them although I know I have time still. Thanks everyone.
I recently had my implants put in. It's Hella tight in there and they are off to the sides and looking ridiculous. Surgeon says they will drop with time - but had no photos to show me this.
Would anyone be down for sharing pictures of early days (first week/month) vs a year or more? Especially if you were/are a dr Kavanagh patient. Tried to search sub, but nothing I could find.
Thanks in advance, DM's open if you don't want to public share.
Hey guys i had meta UL + vaginactomy recently in oct month Before my surgery i was horny all the time and in mood for sex more often by just the thought I could feel aroused on my T dick But after surgery i feel i am not feeling horny uptill now My last testosterone dose was in September month Right now i feel little aroused when i play with my new dick It is normal? Or i have to worry for it??
Hey all,
I had my full meta (UL,scrot, vnectomy, implants) with gusto a week ago.
I had some complications related to chronic pain and fatigue and my catheter that I'll talk about another time in case it's useful for others. For now though I just have a little question.
It's all going well at this point except for a particularly painful area that stings like a bad case of BV (it's not bv). The area is on my seam incision (bifid scrotum) right at the back near my butt hole, there's a lot of stitching there cause it's the end of my insicion.
I have to still me on morphine for a day or two so I'm sweating like a MF at night n it's making my taint super super sore.
Does anyone have any tips for keeping that area from becoming raw or enflamed? Extra dressing?
Particularly keen to hear from people who have had this experience
There's a good amount of info on here about UTIs, but not as much on folks' experience with yeast infections (from what I can see, I might not have been using the right search terms). I get those if I'm not careful about my routine and staying clean, so I would say I probably have a decently sensitive biome down there. I don't get UTIs often but have had them in the past- not within the last 5 or so years though.
For guys whove had the surgery and have kept their opening intact, what have your experiences with that been like? I don't think I'm planning on getting UL, but if you have gotten UL but no v-nectomy I would be curious to hear from you as well
Hello. I hit 2 months on the 8th. I’m having some weird urination problems.
I’m still leaking and having incontinence issues and I was told “give it time”. Still upset about that.
Sometimes that leaking is a little bit of blood. Very light. Not heavy but noticeable.
I’ve noticed once I’m at the end of urinating the last bit is a light pinkish red (like the leftover drops) I’m wondering if this is due to my body still healing and working. I’m standing for nearly the whole 8 hours.
I’m having some spraying issues that is really unpredictable. I have to pull back the extra skin completely to have it not spray as much but even when I do that, I have to hold my urine a bit not to go full force so it doesn’t spray everywhere.
I’m also starting to get annoyed due the amount of leftover urine I have to “milk” or push out. It makes it so I won’t be able to use a urinal because I have to catch the leftover bits with toilet paper. Those leftover bits is when I notice the pinkish/red coloring. Sometimes it’s darker muted red and sometimes a light pink.
I finally have my consult on Wednesday!
If you can tell me:
They are called sheath it’s definitely helping me allot of anyone is interested it’s super comfy Nothing Is touching I’m happy I have it
