A place for trans masc, ftm, nb, (etc) people who are starting testosterone to learn from each other. Everyone is welcome - though we're aimed primarily at those beginning T or in the first year of changes from T...........................................................................................
Note! When creating posts about starting T, many members are interested to know what dose you're on and what form of T you're taking so if want to add that then people are into checking that out.

I honestly don’t care about what my number is but always annoyed they gave me the female intervals
what should i expect them to ask me? i'm kinda terrified because i have no idea how to say what im thinking
I just had my first T shot three days ago (finally!), and the doctor put me on .2 or 20mg weekly to start. Has anyone had luck with voice drops on this dose and if so how long did it take to notice anything? I want to be boy like a young Michael Cera and not man like Jason Mamoa if that makes sense lol. My biggest thing is the voice, bottom growth (I already feel a little more sensitivity even just three days in so that’s a good sign!) and body structure. Thanks in advance for sharing!
[EDIT: thanks for the feedback! Will not do anything and try my best to be patient.]
I've been wondering if shaving (or waxing even?) would make the thicker testo hair grow in faster, because the folicle gets a fresh start.
Has anyone tried that? Is my logic borked? I'm just so impatient lol.
(I've had 5 beard hairs before starting T, and I feel like they got a growth boost since then, while all the peach fuzz hasn't. That's what prompted the thought.)
Has it worked this way for anyone else? My lower arms are super hairy and I've grown hair on my thighs and upper arms which never had hair before all before my voice has shown any sign of dropping? Also stomach hair lol. I'm pretty happy about it tbh, but it's kind of weird because nome of the other men in my family have those much body hair
I'll be 3 weeks on T this Monday
So I found a way to jerk off hands free that has almost cured my bottom dysphoria. Flexing my kegel muscles makes me hyper-aware of how heavy and hard my penis is, I usually take a little gel and mix it with lotion after it’s dried and put it on my penis to keep myself hard. I’m thinking about maybe putting a little in my anus too to stimulate my prostate growth and sensation. As I feel my penis getting harder I clench and unclench my anus and pelvic floor muscles but keep my hips still and legs close together. It takes a long time and you can’t rush or it won’t work, bc the trick is to slowly buid up your arousal. The less you rush, the more time the orgasm will have had to build up, and the more swollen your penis will be. Eventually you will erupt and it will be MASSIVE. Make sure you’re alone the first time you do this because you will probably black out and scream and convulse with pleasure.
How long after reaching out to surgeons did u hear back and were able to schedule a consult. I reached out to this one surgeon whose team is always so good abt responding fast from the times I’ve reached out before. Sent them my insurance card, id, and therapist letter. Just waiting to hear back. Are they probably just in contact with my insurance company?
My dose is .5ml. I thought it would take them a week or so to get a refill @ the pharmacy, but they were uncharacteristically fast. So I took .3ml today, can I just take the other .2ml tmrw when I get my next vial? My next shot isn’t for another 2 wks (every 2 wks injection schedule). I figure it wouldn’t be a big deal but wanted to check and my dr office is closed for the wknd. I’d rather have a full dose and not go 2 wks w just .3ml in my system if I can help it. Thoughts?
If you wanna know, I'm using Tostran 2% Gel but I guess every brand works almost the same. I need to apply 3 pumps (which is 30mg of T) My endo told me that I need to use it on my shoulders and upper chest(if I'm not mistaken) I've also seen people applying 2 pumps on their hand and rub it against the shoulder, and then 1 pumps for other shoulder. The instructions only say where you can use it, but not exactly how I hope you can understand me but I'm a but confused. Would be grateful for your help.
I’m about a month on t and I would say about half of the shots I do feel bad and are uncomfortable but then I’ll do my shot the next week and it will literally feel like nothing. Does anybody else experience this, and is it something I’m doing wrong?
1ml Sustanon, three-weekly, since mid-June this year (following four years of very dicey on-off gel usage).
My last post here showcased how my shitty sideburns don’t yet connect with my hair. That’s still the case, but I believe I also mentioned on the same post that I felt the need to keep a little of my facial hair around, since my “passing ratio” tanked when I was clean shaven.
…Well, very suddenly that seems not to be the case!
A while back I was experiencing some pretty horrendous acne and decided I needed to go clean-shaven just to help my face breathe and to “feel” cleaner. A couple of weeks of shaving every other day, not only is my skin feeling a lot better (how much is thanks to shaving is debatable), but I haven’t been misgendered once.
Since I work a customer-facing job, I’m extremely keyed in to how people gender me, since I deal with hundreds of people in a day and most will signal how they see me (whether that’s being called sir or miss, or if guys are chummy and call me “mate” or not). Before having visible facial hair meant maybe 1 in 15 customers would misgender me, while being fresh faced would bump that number to 3 or 4 in 10 (me crapshooting numbers based on vibes, though working out the actual statistics on this sure would be interesting).
It’s felt like a long while since I’ve been misgendered by the public, and it’s crazy to me because I don’t feel like my face, voice or build have especially changed in the last couple months. …But passing or not is often the sum of many little things, so maybe the needle has been nudged just subtly on a bunch of stuff that conspires to tip me more securely into the “male zone”.
(This post is rambly enough but I will add that my facial hair growth has hastened significantly since my last post. Again, I’ve been keeping clean shaven for a while, but I show a significant amount of chin stubble a lot faster, and while I definitely don’t get a “five o’clock shadow”, if I shave in the morning then my face definitely doesn’t feel as smoooth by the end of the day).
My triglycerides has been rising since starting T.
I stopped taking T only three weeks ago(unrelated reasons) took another lipid panel and my triglycerides are through the roof.
I've been on T since 14/10/24 and I've pretty much had an on and off sore throat since then. 😑 But I know it's not my voice dropping because I have a runny nose and whatever. So each morning I wake up and convince myself that my voice is dropping just to find out the next day I'm still sick lol 😭 I'm coping way too hard
So I had my first appointment today and everything was going great but when it got to the part where they look at the labs they told me to get the doctor said that there was something concerning with my fat percent in my liver and now basically I have to go get a sonogram to check what it is and I can't start T until I have that and it's only depending on the results we get from that. He explained the most common cause would be "easy" to fix by changing my diet and loosing weight but I feel like that's gonna be so impossible and I'm just so sad cuz I feel like I won't be able to be on testosterone ever. If any of you have had this happen I would love to hear about it and how it got fixed. Maybe that will give me hope :(
Wasn't sure what to tag this under, just wanted to hear what y'all are going out as.
I'm torn between Emilio Estevez in repo man and Robert Pattinson in the lighthouse!
I'm officially 1 week on T today and I've already noticed changes! My body hair is already darkening and my facial hair I had pre-T is growing back super dark. I also got bottom growth around day 3-4. Also how do you guys trust that things are actually changing? I keep gaslighting myself into thinking that the body hair isnt new or that my facial hair has always been so dark
Hahahahahahaha sorry, I ment less shiny
I recently switched to gel after being on injections for a year and a bit. I stopped for two months between due to insurance stuff. Ive been on Gel for about two months and have been getting my period again. I finished my cycle about two weeks ago and have noticed some spotting starting last night.
I am not the best with my Gel and have forgotten doses alot. I have a endo appointment next week but should i be concerned or does this sound pretty normal
The number of times I’ve woken myself up snoring in the last month… I never used to snore before T.
Hey I’ve been on T for three weeks yesterday, I’ve already got some tash hairs starting to grow and my arm hair has changed slightly. I didn’t expect hair growth to happen this early and I’m fine with it happening now so long as my levels are ok.
Thing is when i tried to get my bloods to start T it took like 3 months to get an appointment and when I’ve spoken to them about the fact I’ll need another one in about 4 month they basically said they aren’t doing it without a letter from my doctor. (I went private so talking to the doctor costs) I will need to either get a letter or get bloods some other way for my checkup appointment in March but I also feel like maybe I should get them checked earlier just cause the hair growth was unexpected at this point.
Hi everyone I've been on sustanon 250 since June last year but have quite a bit of anxiety when it comes to doing my injections.
I've booked an appointment to change to gel but I have a few questions for anyone on gel.
Compared to injections is gel easier/more convenient?
I've heard you have to apply gel at the same time every day, is this true? And does it matter too much if it's a bit off from day to day?
Does hair growth increase in the area you apply it?
Any tips for starting gel?
Thanks guys!
