I joined the mod team long after things went on between r/estrogel and Dr Will Powers. I'm vaguely aware he stole some practises from r/estrogel claiming them as his own, and that my predecessors disagree with his practises. But I don't really know specifics.

Those of you who have made testosterone gels, what recipe do you follow? I'm compiling a revised selection of masculinising and feminising gel recipes, to flatten the learning curve for trans folks getting into the r/estrogel approach. Estrogel recipes are trivial (they're everywhere). But masculinising gel recipes are harder to come by. The r/estrogel wiki for instance currently only hosts 3 experimental DHT gel recipies.

This article Preparation and In Vitro and In Vivo Evaluation of a Testosterone Film Forming Gel for the Treatment of Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder in Women - PubMed gives a recipe and states the total flux over the first 24 hours was 75.14 mcg/cm2. Ingredients:

• sodium carboxymethylcellulose (common in hairspray and hair gels)
• poly vinyl alcohol (common in hairspray and hair gels)
• glycerol
• carbomer
• ethanol
• transcutol P ethanol solution (article says this was used as a penetration enhancer)

I wonder if a homebrewed version made with hairspray or hair gel and an easier to source penetration enhancer could be made to have sustained release?

I have been trying to flush out a possibly stupid idea for awhile. If i were to make chewing gum with either sigma estradiol or valerate powder of a known quantity per stick couldnt it be used for sublingual administration in the same way that nicotine gum works? My main concerns are: getting the dosing accurate for each piece as mixing it not 100% thoroughly could be a real risk and the salivation that is caused by chewing gum causing too much of it to be swallowed instead of absorbed through the gums. The convenience of just eating a piece of gum a few times a day as opposed to any other method is tempting as hell to try though.

Let me know if theres a big hole in my plan because i feel like i have to be missing something.

I followed deathmetaltransbians recipe to make 500g of 0.2% gel, but after mixing it using a milk frother, the mixture turned white and milky, and looks sort of like yogurt. I tried it again on a smaller scale this time without any actual e and the same result happened. Is this normal and will it affect the functionality of the gel? I also tried scrotal application but it burns a lot (not sure if I'm allergic to the orange oil or if the ethanol is just irritating it by itself) and I was wondering if there are other locations that would work better instead or how to reduce the burning (also if i were to apply it to armpits how would that work because wouldn't the gel just drip off?)

Hi. Maybe this is too soon to be asking, but I’ve been using Otokonoko gel since the 10th this month, so 17 days now, and I still have absolutely no noticeable effects yet. I feel the same as before I started.

I’ve been doing one pump every 12 hours (2mg per pump so 4mg daily) applied to the scrotum. Does this dose sound fine? Should I have noticed something by now or do I just need to keep waiting?

I ordered from Purple Panda it showed up in a few weeks the tracking never worked and it said it was something else on one of the many bags it was packaged in. It had a label for creatine monohydrate powder. Can I trust that what they sent me is what I ordered?

Hello! I have a few questions about using the gel method for estrogen intake as a monotherapy. I understand that to achieve this, I need to apply 3 mg to the scrotum every 12 hours, which I estimate will require about 8 tubes of gel per month, assuming each tube contains around 80g of gel. However, I need some clarification.

My current options are Gynokadin Dosiergel (0.06% estradiol, 80 ml) and Oestrogel (0.06% estradiol, 80 g). Gynokadin Dosiergel appears to be more cost-effective over time. Is there a difference between these brands? Also, what is the best way to accurately measure my estrogen intake with the gel? Lastly, should I be measuring out 3 mg of gel, or is that 3 mg of actual estrogen?

There is a third option, Estogel (0.06% 17β-estradiol), but I don’t have much information on it.

i take 12.5mg cypro every other day and apply 4mg e a day

I started an experiment using "SenAllis Hyaluronic Acid Serum." 2-3 full doses of the applier scrotally, rub it in, then apply my 3mg estrogel on top, making sure to rub it all in on as much scrotum skin as possible. I do this every 8 hours, so 3 times a day, starting from 7am. Then I let it sit for no less than 15 minutes before putting clothes on.

As far as I can tell, this has been the best way for me to apply, with the best results I've had. I feel the application of the gel could stay glazey like a doughnut, for hours if I didn't have to put clothes on. If anyone has ever had problems with their gel drying out too fast, this is something you may want to try.

The recipe I use for my gel is from Lena, but with a tiny bit of added orange oil. And I use 3mg, 3x a day because I've read in multiple forums that around 9mg is a good place for monotherapy, and I figure spreading it out every 8 hours is a good way to make sure it's in my system all day long.

Edit* I forgot to mention that my estrogel is actually 1.5mg per squeeze, because I believe that the extra gel of 2 squeezes allows it to last longer than using just one squeeze per application. So it's still 2 squeezes of gel, just 3x a day, along with the Hyaluronic Acid, which makes for very long lasting gel application.

so ive replaced the orange oil in the gel with isopropyl myristate, is it ok to apply to the balls again despite some irritation still being there? (the orange oil has left a red rash over everywhere i applied the gel with raised bumps) and how long is the shelf life on the hand sanetizer estrogen? i keep it in glass bottles in a draw away from sunlight and heat. thank you all for helping with my previous issues, i cant thank this community enough :)

It just occurred to me, as I tend to apply it and then let it absorb for a while.

Personally I apply on scrotum, then I just sit (or lay in bed in the morning) with my scrotum between my thighs and let it absorb. The logic being that the active ingredients will have to go somewhere and can go into my thighs as well.

However! This is alcohol right? So am I absorbing that too?

The way I’m positioned there is no way for the alcohol to evaporate into the air, it might be absorbing into my body.

I’m tee-total usually, but might this be getting me very slightly affected??

so most people know about hubei vanz policy change which is annoying but i found, bought and am now starting with estrogel made from this listing (make sure to ask for the estrogen you need theres different types) its abit pricier at 2-5usd a gram i got 20grams for 150 usd or 100 gbp (shipping was 65ish usd) and it took around 17 days from quote to it ending up at my door.

im currently using oestrogel 3mg/day applied twice a day scrotally. i plan to make my own gel soon after i have run out.

my question is that is there a way to get more stable levels while still maintaining high enough levels for monotherapy? i want to minimise the effects of mood swings due to the spike of scrotal absorption, so i was thinking i could split my dose into half applied scrotally and the other half to my inner thighs or completely switch to inner thighs. have anyone had success with doing this and what doses were you using? (a reference dose for when you were only applying scrotally would be nice as well)

I take two pumps of eostrogel a day (One pump at morning and one pump at evening). And I also take 50mg of Bicalutamid-teva each day

I don't want my gel to have a strong smell. A faint smell would be ok. Would 5% of orange oil or naiouli oil be ok? What about pure d-limonene?

I have been using pharma estrogel for around 1 year now and while feminization has been ok, recently I have felt like I have been plateauing. There are a couple things I could try to fix this, prog being one of them, but first I wanted to try and increase my estradiol levels to see if my body needs more to get ideal feminization.

I've decided to try to switch to applying the gel scrotally since that is known to have better absorption than inner thighs that I used before. I actually feel like my chest has had a little growth spurt since I changed to scrotal! But the blood tests I have done after the switch don't look especially good.

My dose the month before the first test was 1 pump (0.75 mg estradiol) every 24 hours, then the next month I increased to 1 pump every 12 hours, so basically double the dose. Also I should mention I take 100 mg spiro per day. Blood tests taken at trough of course.

So not great levels. It is at trough so e will be higher on average but still could use some work, especially since it would be ideal to be able to get rid of the spiro and do monotherapy. I cant really increase my dose much without either increasing the number of applications per day which is a pain (I don't get how you sublingual girlies do it lol) or I could increase the dose per application, but it already takes around 10 mins to dry each time, and I don't want to wait much longer than that.

After some thinking my plan then is to modify the pharma gel I have and mix in more estradiol. The reason I decided to go this route instead of making the gel from scratch is that I will need much fewer ingredients and I will also be able to use the pump bottle my gel comes with for nice even dosing. Modifying the gel I have also means I will have more or less the same viscosity and drying properties without any experimenting, which gets rid of a lot of variables.

My plan is basically based on the estradiolsister recipe. I'm going to get some estradiol powder and dissolve it in a small amount of IPA, mix it with the gel and then place the modified gel back inside the bottle using a syringe with a plastic tube on the end. I considered using a blunted needle but I think that it would be too narrow to draw the viscous gel.

I've been thinking to modify the gel to be 2x concentration, or maybe 4x. Based on the blood tests i don't seem to get that much absorption so maybe 4x is necessary.

One other idea I have had is to mix in some kind of penetration enhancer, because i don't think the gel contains one? But then I might as well just make it from scratch since the viscosity will be all wrong at that point.

So yeah this was a bit of a long and rambly thing but I was wondering what people in this sub think of my plan? I haven't really done anything like this before and only used prescription stuff so I'm a little scared I'll mess up and get hurt or something lol

I followed this recipe and when i mixed the carbomer-water solution with the estradiol-alchohol solution it didn't thicken? ws it the lack of Triethanolamine in the recipe. lthough it ws in the ingredients it didnt say where i should add it so rn im just using a spray which isn't ideal

I received transdermal t solution but it seems like a lot of it has crystallized- how do I reconstitute it properly? Also, if applying to the genitals, do I have to mix it into a cream or something or should the solution work as is?
