Been taking HRT EEn for about a year monotherapy, 5mg+- per week. So far, I gained from 125pounds( 57kg ) to 154 pounds (70kg). This is an increase of about 30 pounds / 13kg and I cannot be more insecure than ever. Shittiest thing is, my boobs are barely even there. A cup at best… i’m so devastated i feel fat and ugly. Is this just a normal side effect or is there smth wrong with my Estrogen lol. My eating habits more or less have been the same i just don’t understand the issue.
The only thing increased if my butt and thighs. And lessening of a square jaw. I now have arm flabs and a huge stomach. I’m extremely upset and would appreciate any advice possible.
so the first time i got gel from them i had no issues. i don't think i was even asked to attach bloodwork results, all i had to do was write them down. however the last two times i tried i got shut down almost immediately. i think i got a different doctor looking at my labs the first time, maybe that is the case but the doctor I'm getting now is being oddly suspicious of my labs even if i attached the document which even comes with a barcode and qr to verify the results...the first time i was rejected my T levels were legit the same as when i was approved the previous time. the second time i was rejected because my bloodwork report measured e2 levels, which doesn't really make sense because cis men who are on trt also get their e2 measured?? it's just really frustrating because this was a simple legal way to get gel that i can no longer use :(
I wanted to go through the legal process of transitioning mtf, however after almost a year and still not being allowed to medically transition, I'm starting to run out of patience and want to take things into my own hands. I've had a look at various suppliers but none seem to ship to Austria. I spent over an hour going through a list of suppliers and not a single one shipped to Austria. it's actually making me go crazy at this point. if there's anyone out there that knows how I could get my hands on some estrogen in Austria, I'd greatly appreciate that.
Yo, I haven't actually started T yet, but I have all of the things I need. the only thing thats preventing me from starting is the fact that I live with my parents and am not out to them. I'm in the UK and we have sharps disposal services that come and collect sharps boxes, but i can't do that from risk of being found out. I was just wondering if there are other ways I can dispose of my sharps without having to call people to collect them, because that's just not a feasible thing for me to do atm, but I also want to make sure they're disposed of safely. thank you
so in a few months i likely wont have access to my lupron blocker anymore due to insurance and so ive been planning to do monotherapy with een. for reference ive been on lupron for 3 years. when i start injecting een itd be about a month earlier before my next scheduled injection of the lupron. Would this fuck my t up or should the transition from using the lupron to monotherapy be smooth?
I'm not able to consistently take t for a while, a year at least, and I don't want to stop taking t but I know if I want it to last I'm going to have to take smaller doses. Right now I'm taking 100mg of test c a week, and I'm thinking about bringing it down to 25mg a week for the time being so what I have can last me longer, does anyone have any advice on whether or not I should do this or if I should do it differently?
I am on 150mcg patches but my oestradiol levels are really low 46pg/ml while my test is low enough at 0.76 with 100mg spironactalone. I was thinking of trying gel as I worry about my liver but it seems annoying to deal with so now i’m looking at pills. I would prefer to take them sublingually if I can I don’t know if they leave a horrible taste or something though I have some sensory issues. I assume it should be at least 6mg but I don’t know too much about the pills
I'm ordering spiro from unitedpharmacies and I'm wondering about the shipping. I input my address, and they say it'll ship to there. I would rather like to have the package not delivered to my house, and instead somewhere I can pick it up. I know Fedex offers this service, and apparently some USPS locations do but i'm getting mixed messages on that. My question is, is there any way at all to get the package diverted close by where I can pick it up, or, failing that, how discrete is the packaging?
Booo. Really? It was one single vial. Way to go. Like who would I even be hurting with just one vial. This sucks.
I've had a full hysterectomy, ovaries included, and I'm out of my supply. It's been 2 weeks since my last dose, and I'm starting to have menopausal symptoms.
Anyway, I guess I just have to try again. I've placed two more separate orders from different sellers now and seeing if they have a likelier chance of being delivered. But still. It sucks.
If anyone might have the answer - is it ok that I'm not on HRT for some time? Maybe like another 2-3 weeks? I know the risk of osteoporosis and stuff in the long-term, but I am still kind of worried for how I'll be in the next little while. TIA
worst case is I can try to rip apart my last vial for the last few drops maybe.
so i was talking to a friend recently and they wanted to start DIY hrt but wouldn't cause they had read online that you were unable to get the surgery if you had been only on DIY. (i learnt this through a friend so my info is spotty)
The guidelines in the uk state you must on 12 months of continues HRT to access the care, will they not accept DIY to count in that period?
I know ppl say that doctors don't like trans people doing DIY care and might discriminated against it, but in my experience on both sides of accessing care they have been good.
hi! last injection i got quite a bit of leakage, more than i would expect. haven't noticed any terrible side effects so i assume i got "enough" estrogen in me, but i really don't want to see what seems like my full dose leak straight out of my thigh again. does anyone have any general tips on how to reduce leakage? for reference, i do weekly 6mg (0.15ml) EEn injections, alternating between injecting at a 90 degree angle into each thigh every week. i never have any big air bubbles in my dose (sometimes some very tiny ones, but nothing that would cause concern, i think, either way my thigh hasn't exploded yet so its probably okay), i pinch and hold the skin on my thigh to make sure i inject into the fat layer, and i try to inject slowly and leave the needle in my thigh for as long as possible before withdrawing it quickly. anything i could do differently to minimise leakage?
So, I've been doing 12.5mg CPA + 4mg femoston daily for 2 weeks, but I want to do monotherapy and drop the CPA since i want to minimize the potential side effects of it, and injections are safer, more effective and cheaper, what is a good place to order the injectable solution (crypto not crypto, i dont care) considering that I'm living in Eastern Europe
After today's injection I've noticed that there was a small amount of fluid pooled around the injection site, which I assume was EEn. I quickly cleaned it with an alcohol swab and applied a band aid, but now I'm worried. Was it the right thing to do? Why did it happen? Will this cause problems with my levels until the next injection?
I'm doing subcutaneous injections in my thighs, 7mg every 10 days for monotherapy. I still have some estradiol tablets and anti androgen pills left over if those can be of any help.
Hi all! Currently I am on mono EC 8mg every 8 days. In may I took blood tests and the level of E was 389 pg/ml, T 36 ng/dl. Today the results of new blood tests came and in them E was 456 pg/ml, T 49 ng/dl. Initially, I thought of lowering the level of E, but now when I see new results, it scares me that T has increased despite the fact that E also become higher. Should I start taking AA and reduce the dose of E, because increasing the level of E can already be dangerous? Are T levels too high? What do I do?
I got my syringes today! So i wanna start injections, im currently on 3× a day 2mg Sublingual pills. So 6mg a day and last week had a bloodtest, my Estrogen was at 290pmol/L and Testosterone was <0.1nmol/L. The Testosterone is a bit low still had Cypro in the system so it will be higher now.I was told i need more Estro as it should be like 400-800pmol/L so should i inject 6mg or higher and how much higher?
Also i have Estradiol Enanthate from Astrovials
I've been on sustanon for just over a year now (was on gel for 2 years before), when i got my bloods a couple months back my levels were all okay. (T at 16.8 nmol/L). I was also on decapeptyl but stopped taking it after 2ish years (my next shot was meant to be a couple days ago) as my FSH and LH levels had lowered. But i'm finding im having big emotional swings between T doses, I'm thinking about switching from 1ml every 3 weeks to 0.6/0.7 every 2 weeks, does anyone have any experience with this?
I had my first bloodwork done early september, before starting any HRT, and my estradiol was sitting at 90 pmol/L for my base level.
I started estradiol pills (2mg per day) on November 8th, and I just had bloodwork done on November 29th. The most recent bloodwork shows my estradiol hormone as LOWER than before? It is at 68 pmol/L now.
Weirdly enough my T has continued to drop since my last bloodtest, so the T blockers are definitely working, and I feel less tired than when I was just on T blockers, but apparently my E has dropped since taking the estradiol pills? how does that make sense?
is this something that someone here has experienced, or could there have potentially been an issue with the bloodwork?
Hey, I will probably be starting HRT before the end of this week, but I have a few questions I would like to ask first so I can achieve the best possible results.
- Is it better to inject every 7, 10, or 14 days? I'm using Estradiol Enanthate (subq).
- The starting dose for monotherapy that my homebrewer recommends is 7mg/week, but I likely won't have any blood tests available. Would starting with the high dose (9mg/week) be better in that case?
- Is an estrogen level of 600 pg/mL (when inputting 9mg EEn weekly into a simulator) too high, even for monotherapy? Does a too high estrogen level have any negative effects on feminization?
- Is there anything that I should avoid doing whilst on HRT? (e.g. certain foods, medicine, behavioral patterns)
- How should I weight cycle? My BMI is currently ~20. I heard that you should keep cycling 5 lbs up and down. Is that true?
- Does waiting with laser hair removal after being on HRT for a while have any cons besides a lower pain tolerance?
Hey there, switching from pills to patches;
Wondering tho, the instructions given state 0.1 mg twice a week, but specifically state 3 patches applied at a time (ie. 3 Sunday, swap for 3 Wednesday)
Is this okay? Or is this an excessive/overdosage?
so i ordered from astrovials and it came in the post today, pulled it out the packaging and im just wondering if theres anything i need to take off the top of the vial, it has a metal ring surrounding a white bit in the middle, and i really dont wanna mess it up so help would be appreciated :)
Hi all.
I've been trying to get a grasp on the DIY side of things since it's clear the NHS (Scotland, Glasgow) won't help me. The information is pretty overwhelming and I'm new to a lot of this.
Does anyone have any advice on how to best view the resources here? I'm just trying to figure out how much this'll all cost me, how to do it without having to mess with crypto and what to actually like, do.
I'm pretty certain I wanna use pills, but what's tripping me up is how to find a proper provider or how to skill up on blood tests, since there's no guarantee my GP will be able to do it for me and even if they did, I'd like to have the know-how on how to parse the results of a test in-case they try to mess with my doses or pull a180 on me since as far as I understand, they *can* help me with bloods, but are under no obligation to do so.
I was wondering about starting diy but wondering if I still can get legal hrt after doing diy. Because at some point I want to get bottom surgery and I'm under the assumption that you need legal hrt to do so
I started hormones again after 2 years of stopping. This time, I began under the supervision of an endocrinologist, but after 6 months, I couldn't afford the blood tests, so I stopped going. Now, I’ve been taking the same regimen for 1 year and 3 months: 1.53 mg (two puffs applied to the forearm, now trying scrotal application) and one shot every 21 days of 25 mg medroxyprogesterone and 5 mg estradiol.
The last time I did blood tests, my results were: 0.146 ng/ml for testosterone, 113.40 pg/ml for estradiol, and 45.62 ng/ml for prolactin. I haven’t changed anything since I was with my endocrinologist, but I’ve noticed that breast development has stopped, and I’m not sure if I should adjust anything.
I'm v new to this and just received my calutide 50 mg pills and progynova 2mg pills
Does anyone know what the dose and schedule I should have with these?
Also anyone who has any experience with them have any advice or info?
Hi, I ordered 2 EEn vials from astrovials on the 22nd of November and got my shipping email the same day. The tracking was working fine and it seemed like nothing was wrong until the 26th, where it seemed to enter customs in my country (The UK) and hasn't been updated since. I've checked both La Poste and Royal Mail and 26th is the last time either have been updated. Is this anything to be worried about or should I just be patient? Thanks for the help!
Heya, first, a bit of backstory: I was on DIY for three months, then had to stop because of family reasons. After 2 months off hormones and nearly offing myself I'm back on estrogen (almost 2 months now). I feel way better (physically and mentally) Like, I’m actually enjoying life again.
When I stopped HRT, I made an appointment with a gender therapist to try and get on the legal path. I was hoping to get a diagnosis or something official to show my (very unsupportive) dad. That appointment was today, and honestly, it didn’t go great.
At first, things were fine, but then I mentioned I’d been on DIY, and her whole attitude shifted. She got kind of aggressive, asking why I even needed her if I was smart enough to do it myself. She also started going on about how almost all trans women on HRT end up with osteoporosis or blood clots or other serious issues, and that’s why it’s so important to have medical supervision. I thought those problems mostly happened from low estrogen or using pills, but maybe I’m wrong?
Anyway, she asked if I’d stopped DIY. I told her the truth: I’m back on estrogen. After that, she said we were done and that I could call her again only if I stopped using for a few months.
Now I feel stuck. I don’t want to stop HRT. I don't wanna feel like offing myself. I just wanted proper support. And btw, I got blood tests during first DIY, and my levels were okay. She said legal HRT is better because an endocrinologist would monitor everything, but I was doing what I could to be safe.
So, like... are the risks she mentioned actually that common, or was she just trying to scare me? What was even the point of her reaction? I don’t plan on stopping HRT again, but now I’m not sure what to do or how to move forward.
Well more or less what's written on the tin. I started T last April, I've been about 0.2 ml ever since. I do it biweekly so it must've been a good twenty injection, I've done both intramuscular (my preferred method) and subcutaneous and only had problems with the fact the injection pain was a little too persistent. Nothing has changed since then excepted the place I do them in (bc I do it at a friend's and he had to move).
Two weeks ago, just after injecting, I started feeling really lightheaded for a moment, and I guess I simply had to wait it out for like a minute. It happened again today as I was putting the needle in (stabbing myself is a little scary so I usually push it in kinda slow) and I wasn't even able to go through the skin as I started feeling really bad and ended up actually loosing consciousness (thank god I wasn't alone lol)
The only time this has ever happened has been last week, as my GP was feeling along my knee for a tendinitis. She then took my blood pressure right after and it was fine. I tested my blood for T recently and it's at the regular level
Anyone know what it could be?
I've been on EEn monotherapy for almost a year. I've tried multiple doses, ranging from 4mg to 8mg per week, and still my body feels incredibly masculine. Seemingly no breast growth, my skin feels the same as it did when I wasn't on HRT, and I'm pretty sure body and facial hair especially have grown even thicker and quicker than before. My dysphoria is awful, and is making me depressed and I don't know what to do. Yes, I know I need a blood test, but I don't have access to them. Can my vial just be messed up? Does that happen?
I finally got my lab results!!! But I'm a little confused about the levels and the unit of measurement used(pg/mL).
Results: DHT - 96 pg/mL | Testosterone, total - 17 ng/dL
After researching, I found out that apparently the most used/appropriate unit to measure DHT it is (ng/dL). Is this correct?
I did a conversion on a website that turned those 96 pg/mL of DHT to 9.6 ng/dL. Is this conversion are reliable/accurate? If so, is my DHT at an adequate range or still high? Should I be concerned?
Hi everyone, I live in Europe and got my prescription from an endocrinologist, but he is the only one in the Country I'm in and he won't follow me or help me, so I have been DIYing the dosage he prescribed following the guidelines of the DIY guide.
I have been following a steady increase in my E levels and my T levels were in the 0.40s every lab test, so I was doing fine. For reference, these were my values in July:
12mg cpa
6mg e sublingual, Estrofem
0.40 ng/ml testosterone
estradiol 117.5 pg/ml
The problem arrived when in July, after getting the lab tests back I decreased my AA, Cyproterone acetate, from a quarter of a pill every day to a quarter pill every 2 days.
After just one month, I got morning erections back and I was feeling awful, so I tested again in August and my levels were: 5.23 ng/ml testosterone, estradiol 136.14 pg/ml
It's been three months now, I tested again in November after coming back to the same dosage of E and AA I had previously, and this is the result:
4.76 ng/ml testosterone
estradiol 90 pg/ml
After receiving these results, I increased my E to 8mg sublingual, so 4 pills a day, with the same AA dosage, but I'm not sure it's the right thing to do.
This is still too high and It's not coming back to my previous levels, I'm afraid I messed up my results and I'm gonna have to increase CPA or get Estrogen in another form, something that will take me months because of my living situation. I would really need some advice. Thanks in advance..
