Does anyone remember the name of the kids entertainment center that was at the Santa Fe mall back in the 90s/early 2000s? Its an event hall now, but I've been trying to remember what it used to be called for years!
Went to brasstown bald to view yesterday midnight but couldn’t see anything.
I am very interested in joining the union for carpentry but have no experience.
My reason for wanting to join the union:
I want a homestead- a home, greenhouse, chicken coupe, studio for my shop, barn, shed etc made from scratch with as much of my own hands as possible, on my own land. In addition to renovating an rv to travel and live in while I make my homestead livable.
I have been serving in restaurants for 13+ years and am looking for something stable with great benefits to career change into that will also benefit my other life goals (i.e. homestead, rv for living and travel) and allow me to use what I have learned to help and educate women in my community.
I see Georgia has a local carpentry Southeastern Carpentry Regional Council. I am not sure if that is the same a union?
What is the reality of me wanting to join a union without experience? Should I take classes first? Apprentice under someone for free just to get some work in?
What are the hours and work like going in as an apprentice? If the pay is not enough will I have time to get a second job? What should I be prepared for and keep in mind and what is the reality of the job? I would love to learn it all- or should I stick with one area? What happens after the apprenticeship? Is there anything else specific to union work I should be aware of? Is there anything I should avoid or you wish you would have known going in?
Thank you so much for reading and leaving advice 💜
Anybody saw northern lights tonight?
Hey, what are my chances of getting into Terry with the following grades?
I’ve got all A’s in the required classes except for a B in ACCT 2101 and MIST 2090 and ECON 2106. I have a 3.65 GPA and will be taking Pre calculus over summer.
My SAT score was 1060, should I take the EPP?
Also I’m transferring from KSU
Title.
I don't know why I feel like I need more information, maybe a part of me feels like I need to know why. I can't get the images of his body falling through the air or lying there on the ground out of my head. I'm worried for his family, and for everyone else who witnessed it. It was horrific and I'm honestly still in a bit of shock.

I’m looking over the primary ballot, and I see that almost all of the positions for the nonpartisan election only have one candidate besides write-ins. Do those positions really have no other candidates, or are the listed ones just the only officialized candidates? Where can I find better info on this?
For those of you able to see the Northern Lights last night, what area do you live in and what time were they visible? Also are there any public places near by to park and wait/watch? I want to drive out away from the city for a better chance at seeing them tonight, but not sure where to go. I don’t wanna sit on the side of a random road and be a dateline episode 🙃
I have Been trying to register but the website keeps say my telephone is invalid (btw I’m 16 if that matters)
My neighbor keeps his dog, a Husky, caged outside all the time. Is this legal? I hear the dog making whining noises sometimes, but maybe this might just be a Husky being Husky and being super vocal.
My neighbor travels a lot as well. I don't know if he leaves his dog behind when he travels but next time I'm going to keep an eye on how things go.
My wife is black, she's been scammed once by someone pretending to do hair. The other person she hired did a bad job. She looking for a person who can do black woman's hair. I know literally next to nothing about this area. We are in the middle ga area. Anyone know anyone that does black woman's hair at a reasonable price and are good? I'd love to surprise her with a solid recommendation?
I’m asking this because I did see some campaigns that weren’t in churchs.
I tried going to a lot of these but the ones I’m looking that are palpable are either too far or in a day where I’m not able to make it/get busy. I’m in Griffin/Spaulding county. A relative of mine wanted to have me help in the church for this type of thing. I’m atheist & spiritual and my relative is a born again Christian. I don’t feel comfortable helping others with her around. But I want to help sometime next week. Any ideas or places I could go to to help the helpless & and needy WITHOUT going to church???
Please & thank you
Is this pronounced Mācon or Ma-Kahn? thanks
Helllo! I missed the aurora yesterday, is there any chance I'll see it today? Also, what time was it yesterday so I can see it today? I live near Gainesville/ Lake Lanier
The flat shoals exit sign on I-20 headed south is covered by tree who do I report to get this taken care of?
It took almost 3 months I had to get in contact with my Congressman. One of his Representatives helped me and then they signed my case over to a Tax Advocate office they use. Me personally idk if this would help out but hell you have to try something if you still waiting for a response from the IRS . I flied my return back in early February sometime. They held my taxes just bc I filled out my 8862 form wrong . Pray ya’ll get yours I know it’s a struggle. I’m 24 years old and I did it myself so don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t get in contact with the Congressman…
So I am freshly 21 and I just learned about the 11:45 law lol
imo I think its pretty stupid but I wanna learn about why it was made if there was any reasoning behind it
EDIT: 11:45pm cut off for gas stations n stuff not the sunday thing.
Anyone know a good spot in the gwinnett area to see the lights?
I know when people think California the first cities popping up into mind are Los Angeles, San Francisco. Nah I live in the bums of middle-of-nowhere Cali, so a metropolitan lifestyle is certainly something I'm giving more precedence into for my college choice.
Georgia Tech is a oddball with my options for sure, as my other two choices I'm contemplating are in-state. The aid I received is significant and given I'd only attend for 2 years, it's virtually on par with my in-states financially.
However, my other two options are not in cities like LA & SF. Actually, they're in suburban, tiny towns which I'm a bit bummed out as it dwindles the nightlife, party/club scene virtually by default. Every once in a while I drive up to SF or Sacramento and enjoy how many club/bar options are available late night, and the substantial wave of people out savoring the moment. Even just a late night dinner with friends, it's a much more vibrant scene than where I live; my city's dead by 8pm.
One point to raise is how SF handled the pandemic. Pre-pandemic it seemed like everything was open late. However most venues/stores apparently struggled post-pandemic and it's not as lively across the city anymore. Most of the nightlife is now mostly centralized to individual venues. Would be interested in drawing comparasions between there and Atlanta.
I am wondering what kind of culture shock I may be acquainted with should I choose Georgia Tech. I am sheltered culturally, only place I've visited outside California is Vegas. Yeah it's embarrassing but it's something I aim to expand as I begin this next journey. Mainly asking here since it's financially unrealistic for me to visit campus & Atlanta before my June 1st deadline. Would appreciate any responses. Love y'all and take great care!
