New to the area.... What are the best areas for trick or treating? And what time do most of the fun happen?
Just moved to the area and hoping to find some people to play commander MTG with. I've only ever played 1v1, and am still very new. Most of the nearby groups I've found seem intense/very male dominated. Any suggestions?
Is there currently something bring filmed here? I see the signs, but can't understand them
Looking for recommendations for the following:
Where is the best place around here for a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives? I have only seen regular olives, blue cheese stuffed is a must!
Just got back into the game a couple months ago. Is there still a group that plays there and i can't seem to find their discord anymore
What’s the best way to find an affordable apartment in Smyrna? I’ll be moving to the area around January. I’ve found some apartment complexes on Zillow that look relatively affordable, but I’d like to avoid large rental companies if possible. Is there a culture of smaller / independent landlords putting up physical signs for rentals and not listing them online? If so, I might try a shorter term lease then walk around and find something more permanent once I have moved.
Looking for activities and classes to sign our kids up for in and around Smyrna. Have two kids, 3 & 2, and am looking for things to get them into to keep them active and entertain especially now that the weather is getting colder and we can’t just go outside as much. Kids have expressed interest in gymnastics and dance. Bonus points for flexible scheduling and lots of available times.
In the past couple weeks at 8:05 AM and 4:05 PM every single day I can hear the music coming from the base. I've been living here for years and it's way louder than it used to be. It seems to do this intermittently and I have no idea what can be done. It's actually super disruptive and wakes me up everyday. Can anything be done?
Edit; for those super smart people telling me to move- would you like to donate my moving expenses through CashApp or PayPal?

It's been happening for years.
Hey guys! I'm in need of a job. I live in Midtown but I make the communte to Smyrna for my girlfriend everyday to pick her up and drop her off. If you know of a job in smyrna that is hiring please let me know.
I'm 21 and a jack of all trades. I've worked retail for a couple years but I'm mostly a blue collar worker. Thank you all!!!
Anyone have a therapist recommendation? Specifically a woman therapist who is skilled in handling women/couples dealing with infertility and miscarriage?
The entire place is a ripoff. You have to get in the queue for the exterior wash before seeing the pricing… which is more of a suggestion than a real set price. The exterior wash is quick and relatively ok, but then you have to wait with your wet car under the sun for them to start doing the inside, by which time your car has been dried by the sun and is stained. Then, before they start working the interior, they’ll tell you how much each service will ACTUALLY cost, which in my case, it wound up being $20 over the listed price because the car is “very dirty” and will take a lot of vacuuming (it was not, in fact, very dirty, as I had already cleaned up the trash and there were mostly crumbs on the carpet). By this point, they’ve already begun the washing, so you can’t back out, and cannot negotiate at all. I’m paying $60 for an hour + exterior wash on a car that’ll end up stained outside and a vacuum on the carpets - insanity.
EDIT: it’s been more than 2 hours now.
I've thrifted a leather jacket I'm in love with. But it definitely needs a good cleaning, moisturizing and maybe reinforcing a seam or two. Are there any businesses in smyrna that do that?
Hello everyone! I’ll be in the Smyrna area this evening and looking for some good tacos. Which place do you guys prefer?
Go early vote! I went to the Smyrna Community Center at 3:10 and was out by 3:25. Poll workers were super friendly. ☺️ There also is a live tracker that tells you wait times. Happy voting!
Is that even legal
Hello all
Moved in town recently. I’d like to know your suggestions for someone new in town to find friends or meet up groups. Feel free to connect with me on dm if there is a spot open in your friends group. 😀
I was in Michigan and Cali before. Moved in here for work. So I’m yet to make any new buds in Smyrna , GA yet. So any advice or suggestion would be much welcomed.
Thank you
Does anyone know if the Smyrna community center has early voting in person? I tried looking up where to go in Cobb County but I can’t tell if that location is drop box only or if they’re doing in person too. I would like to go on my day off during the week to avoid lines. Apologies if this seems like a dumb question. I’m AuDHD so reading websites as is without detailed information is hard for me. That’s also why I would prefer somewhere closer but of course I’ll go to the place on Roswell Rd if I need to. Tysm in advance!!
I need 20-30 pumpkins for a party. I usually support the Methodist church when i only need a couple. But I need them cheap. Any markets or patches in town with low prices? TIA
Edit: I have a bicycle that I’m down to include in the commute up to 3-4 miles each way.
Need commute advice. I live in Smyrna (near the Battery) and commute to Brookhaven for work 5 days a week. I’d like to get away from driving the whole way daily, so I’ve been looking into transit options. Google maps says that using Cobblinc to get to Marta is the best route, but that would take nearly 2 hours each way.
So here are my questions:
Does anyone do this commute regularly? Are the buses and trains reliable enough?
Do you think driving to Sandy Springs station would help with the time? I don’t mind driving a bit, but to me that looks like it would take just as long, especially during rush hour.
Do you know of any other options?
We just moved here from Texas, and this whole move has been a disaster!
Current major issue is that our apartments is not getting mail because TPTB here won’t fix issues.
We need our new bank cards, our GA IDs, and other important mail but can’t get it because of whatever is going on with the mail boxes.
PO says that they have spoken with them, apt people say the PO is lying.(geeee who am I gonna believe?). But we have been here 2 weeks and still no mail key and no mail. My husband spoke with neighbors and they said ‘good luck!’
Who do I need to light a fire under to get this resolved? One of the Congress critters? Some other official? This HAS to be some sort of federal offense. F*cking around with the mail like this!
I bought nearly 40 different makeup items at Spirit Halloween a couple of years ago that I am now never going to use. All but one of them packages are unopened. Grease paint, crayons, colored hair spray, etc.
Is there a charity in the area that I could donate these to? Would prefer a children's charity, if there's one in Smyrna or a neighboring Cobb city.
