Does anyone here go to peak fitness? I’m a ftm and very out of shape. Are people at Peak judgy?? I’m really anxious about going since I’m no where near fit and don’t know much about the gym. I’m really thinking about going to Peak Fitness because of the daycare. I have a one year old so I was thinking the daycare would be perfect. Do any of you have an experience with the daycare ? Are they good ?

My sister lives in Dalton, GA and her cat recently got diagnosed with a heart murmur :( Her vet told her a visit with a cardiologist to find out whether it’s heart failure could cost up to $1,000. If anyone has any leads with vets that might cost any less than that, I figured it was worth a shot asking. She’s willing to drive too if it’s a few hours away. Thanks!

My family is moving back to Dalton in January, and I will need to enroll our then 5 month old in daycare.

First, I’m looking for recommendations (or also, where to stay away from). We’re open to in home daycares.

Second, I would love to get an idea of what full tike daycare costs these days. We are moving from Atlanta, so I’m expecting it to be less than here— hopefully.

So I went to the Vaan house about a month ago and while I was heading there this house caught my eye. It was white ran down and it had police tape around it. Does anyone know anything about it at all? because if im being honest I wanna go explore it but I dont wanna go in there and find a body or something.

Has anyone been? How are the lines?

I live in Chattanooga and they’re slightly outrageous (hour or two long wait times, lines out the door, etc…)

I have a family member in Dalton who I need to take to vote so I’m trying to gauge how long the lines are there and try to figure out when would be good to take her so we’re not waiting multiple hours to do it as she would have an extremely difficult time waiting in a long line.

I need and can’t afford the $ for moving boxes. Anywhere in Dalton to go for fair or free boxes? I’m being forced to move apartments with my 2 disabled parents that I care for & relocate to another one for repairs. I wish I had the funds but lost my job awhile back bc had a back injury at work & hasn’t healed in months bc I have so much to do physically with my parents & now ofc I have to move an entire apartment alone.

Would appreciate any tips of advice or help on this. Was not aware how much Homedepot etc charges for boxes and with the amount I need, it’s not doable rn.

Anyone know of a great massage therapist that practices deep tissue? I’m talking about “elbow to muscle” as I’m crying in pain type of massage.

If another hurricane was to hit, and it came through Dalton, would we flood like NC & east TN did ? I remember Cleveland highway used to flood a couple of years back, but with all the rain from Helene it didn’t flood at all. Was something changed or did we just not get as much rain as I thought we did ? Also aren’t we surrounded by mountains so isn’t Dalton in a valley ? I’ve just been very paranoid 🤧

I know things are scary with the recent hurricane ripping the southeast to shreds, and the dock worker union going on strike. Please understand that this will not be the end of the world and with luck, the union and the multinational corporations who are trying to stiff dock workers will come to a resolution. And for the love of god do NOT blame the strikers. They are doing this so they can get paid fairly and not be replaced by machines. People listen with their wallets more than their ears.

Buy what you need. Maybe stock up a little, but try to leave some fore your neighbor. The west coast is still open and we will survive this. I know we are all traumatized from the lock down, but DO NOT PANIC
