Hello Everyone, I recently decided to switch my major from CS to CIS and came up with this schedule (I took CSC 1301, Critical Thinking, MATH 1113, HIST 2110, GSU 1010 in my first sem) Can anyone please tell me if this will be manageable? I wanted to add as many foundations as I could but considering I'll have a part time job most of the week, I'm lowkey very unsure if I'll be able to manage this or not. I switch the Friday class to Asynchronous so please ignore that. Any CIS majors here who can provide me w their feedback? I'll really appreciate it. Thank you.
I left my new purchased gsu black women sweat pants and bear keychain at classroom south in room 407 during my lecture and forgot to grab it on the way out. It’s still in the bag. If you have a class in that room and notice the bag please leave the bag where it is or please give it to the professor to leave on desk with my name.My name is Janae and I will come back to grab it in the evening when I return to campus. Please and thank you, I will be more than happy to give a reward for securing my items. If you find the bag please comment here as well to notify. THANK YOU!!
Hey y’all. I dorm in Piedmont Central and I wanted my family to come over as guests. Is the parking lot in front of the dorm open to whoever or is there specific (preferably close) places that guests can park in?
Anyone nessa barrett fans wanna go to the concert in February together😛😛
Hey! I wanna know how hard is it to get into the master of art in economics at GSU ? Studied abroad and have my credentials: 3.2 GPA
Also, for someone who really sucks at mathematics how hard will it be?
Business majors(CIS, Accounting, Finance etc.) what was your starting salary exiting college and what do you do for work?
I’m in need of housing. Just cancelled my spring application due to no desire of 2BD 1 BA & the sake of feeling uncomfortable with roommates. Trying to room with my brother. Does anyone have any off campus housing suggestions that has good leasing managers or with reliable bus to campus?
Does anyone live at the Mix? Does anyone pay lofty monthly rental expenses, only to sit stranded outside of your room because NO ONE on staff has a simple KEY TO THE STAIRWELL? 🙋🏻♀️
Well I think enough is enough. I have only been living here since August, but holy smokes I cannot imagine the pain residents who have been dealing with this mess for longer.
The Mix has a lot of flaws, but none of them top the ridiculously absurd gaping flaws in their key/security systems.
They want to switch to “completely mobile” keys or whatever, so if you want a physical key to your door, you must pay a very reasonable $250. For a physical. Key. (Obviously no one keeps a physical key)
On top of that, I guess even their own staff does not think physical keys are worth the investment, because although there are several security members here and its only the evening (8pm), NO ONE here has a key to the stairwell. So me and about a dozen students are sitting in the lobby, just waiting for someone to show up who will maybe be able to fix the elevator.
Is there any way those of us who live here and are NOT okay with this frequent issue can contact property management? Maybe its because Im too hangry (since I can’t get into my apartment I haven’t been in all day), or maybe Im too cold bc of this ridiculous blasting AC, but I’m ready to contact whoever has the power to give the security a key. I mean. Seriously.
The new commons turnstiles suck. Idk why they take the force of an elephant to move. They need to lube them up or smtg.
Anyone else struggling with them or am I stupid 🤣
if you lost an iPad at the library at the gsu campus please contact me
How are y'all making LinkedIn connections? I'm trying to contact an alumni to talk to them about an internship position. Or maybe just make connections to people in the science world in general, but I have zero connections on Linkedin 😭
Was anyone else not able to find an available room. Mines started at 3 and I accessed the website around 3:05, went over to room selection, and saw that they couldn’t find any available rooms?
ive been on it since registration opened & ive been waitlisted for 8 classes. none of them r taking me off the waitlist 😔
I sent my transcripts thursday and am waiting for word back to finish my application. Am I cooked?
found it on the floor at urban life. im not sure if its anyones here
Hi y'all,
As the title says, I'm applying to transfer to GSU from Emory due to financial reasons, and wanted to get y'all's opinion on the overall student life there. I would live off campus, but I still want to be involved with the community. I'd be going into CIS within the business school for context.
In particular, I'm interested in learning if there are any interest groups or clubs for makers, as I spend a lot of my free time tinkering with things and would love to meet others with similar interests.
Also, for graduates who went for CIS, how would you rate your experience and which specialization did you go with?
Hi! I need to take an English class this summer! I am taking 1130 right now and will be taking bio 2108 with an English this summer. Any recommendations?
When I make purchases at the chick fil a bookstore using my panther points, it always says I “earned points” for making the purchase. What are the points for? Is it for this chick fil a, or am I earning back panther points? Can I do anything with them?
I love the garlic spread they add to the three grilled cheese. I wanna make it at home. Anybody know how??
Hi all! Has anyone gotten their cap & gown shipped to them or received notification of it yet? I ordered from Herff Jones on the 21 but haven’t gotten anything else besides my order confirmation email. Wasn’t sure if anyone else was experiencing this. I assume they just have a big chunk of orders to get through, just getting nervous!
Hi, I was thinking about applying for fall 25 at GSU in MSCS.
But I see it only has 2 concentrations: bioinformatics and security and privacy.
Is that the only option for master's there?
I'm more interested in systems and distributed systems and related topics primarily.
Can I leave it empty or is that a mandatory field and those are the only options?
Put your CAPS LOCK on and bold that text!

Ok I know this may sound insane but I’m in a dilemma. I lost my chem lab notebook, the one with carbonless copy pages. I have all my lab pages but I need the duplicates which are in my notebook. My professor is requiring to see the lab notebook on Tuesday but I honestly don’t know how I’m gonna revive another lab notebook on time. Does anyone know if there are available lab notebooks in the GSU downtown library? If not, could anyone lend me theres? The ones that of course have enough sufficient pages that haven’t been used.
"We listen and we don't judge" I am 21 and I haven't had my first kiss yet, yall go next
For anyone who uses m deck, the third entrance closest to piedmont ave is not working just a heads up. Even with your panther ID.
Has anybody in here done the GFA Post Production Certification for Editing? If so, how was it? I’m taking the intro course in the spring, and wanted to hear from some people.
I think I have some decent support for understanding grad school as far as things like admissions and experience around and outside of the program go, but I need help figuring out how to navigate the course requirements for the programs I’m interested in. I’m considering continuing with GSU for a grad program in psychology, but the catalog information for the programs was recently changed into what feels like a convoluted mess to me. I’ve tried going to the office of academic advisement, but they won’t talk to me about it until I’m a senior. Is there anybody else I could talk to?
Trying to register for English 1102 and it says in the description to be aware of FOLK? what is that? thx
