Studied really hard for my first algebra test just to get a 76- I want all A's so bad and I was getting 100s on all the homework and study guides- I'm not looking for advice I already emailed the professor and I'm going to practice even more during unit 2- How do y'all deal with defeat when you expected a good grade and how do I not envision my grad school chances evaporating with every score below an A (bio major freshman, vet school hopeful)
Hey y’all,
I’m a transfer student from Atlanta Technical College, currently studying CS. I just got accepted into KSU for Fall 2025, went on a campus tour, and really liked the vibe. But I’m still weighing my options—I already live in the city, and the idea of just walking or hopping on MARTA to GSU is super convenient.
So, for those of you at GSU’s CS program, I’ve got a few questions:
Any advice or personal experiences would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. 🙌
Hi guys,
I was wondering if GSU alumni can log into PAWS after graduating. If so, for how long after graduation am i able to log in?
Thanks!
*Edit: I tried logging in and couldn't*
I want to retake 3 classes despite getting A’s in all of them. My reason being that all these classes are a significant part of my major. I want to strengthen my understanding of those subjects even better. 😭 I heard from someone that they are retaking a class even though they got an A, and it’s actually counting towards their credits?? And my main concern is if they count towards my credits, because I don’t want to waste money.
which floors look out towards the city and which look out towards the courtyard in the university commons? even or odd?
My son will be a freshman and is interested in Piedmont Central for housing. The other day we were looking and found a floor plan that had a living room and kitchen. Today all I see is the one where there are two bedrooms and then a shower and a toilet room. Are there full apartments with kitchens available there for freshman? Thank you.
Y'all I have recently been admitted for fall 2025 and gsu did not give me a single scholarship. I have a 3.56 GPA and every other school I applied for gave me money. GSU is my top school so i'm 99% sure i'm going here but i really need help on where to get scholarships and what GSU scholarships i can apply for!!!!
I was thinking about driving into Atlanta to get one of those professional headshots that the career center (I think it's them?) offer, but I've never done it before. Have any of y'all used it? Is there anything I should do to be prepared? Like should I come in dressed business casual or would they have professional clothes there for me to throw on? Any insight helps, thanks!
Imm taking 6 and so far I'm drinking 5 of them like water.
But corporation finance is wrestling with me.
Hey everyone, I’m a senior in my last semester at GSU (M21), and I commute from Alpharetta. I’d love to meet other commuters and maybe find some people to hang out with between classes or even carpool occasionally.
Anyone else commuting? Where from? Let’s connect!
How do you get involved with research as a freshman, i’m in the honors college aswell and heard some programs but idk how to get started?
Y’all ever feel judged from someone else, just cause you have different interests from one another? Even when trying new things? I recently joined club meetings, went to the involvement fair & did fitness classes at the rec center, then some of the ppl there be like “so what brought you into it?” “What type of music you listen to?” “Show me” where they got me in an uncomfortable situation trying take my time to explain my personal things. Then they act like they don’t want me to fit in just cause I’m the same as usual whenever I’ve been busy focusing on schoolwork, prioritizing career.
(Posting this here bc I also go to GSU hehe)
My band is tentatively looking for a bassist and/or guitarist right now. Our sound is very much leaning on the vein of 90’s-classic rock. We’ve put out one song song so far, and that’s the kind of sound we usually lean towards, but obviously are not limited to:
https://open.spotify.com/track/1tbckMeN1V903hdF7qUODf
I play guitar but can also play bass as well, so we’re open to either. My lead guitarist plays guitar but also plays drums. We’re also about 20 to 26 in age range as well. Right now, one of our biggest concerns is having a space to practice, so if you have that space, it’s a huge plus. We would love to hear back from any and everyone! Please shoot me a message or leave a comment, we’d love to start playing shows and doing some great things together!!!
Hey, just just accepted to MSCS, no TA/RA, wondering if it's possible to get TA/RA once I reach campus. If yes, will that be easier?? Thanks
Im an international student and im confused on the hookah laws in the states. does anatolia id if you order a hookah under 21? or if you are over 18 are u set?

How cooked would I be if I took physics 1 (algebra-based), biochem, and neuro 4000 in one semester? I don't want to overload my schedule toooo much
Hey, I was at the Emory/GT ASO Single Inferno event this Thursday and met an Asian guy who came with his two friends. I was with a friend who was wearing a red coat and had a bob and I was wearing an off-shoulder red top and black pants, and I was super nervous since it was my first time at a club! We talked for a bit, but the music was so loud I could barely hear anything and I didn’t even get his name even though it was like the beginning of the event. Like literally 30 minutes in at like 10:30. I am pretty sure you were wearing like a red jersey with a number but i dont know how much that narrows this down. We got introduced by a friend and you told your friend to come up to me saying you thought I was cute. I thought you were cute too and got really flustered, and I feel bad because I was trying to talk to you but i was just super overwhelmed in the environment. Unfortunately I couldn’t remember much afterwards. I’d love to reconnect if you’re interested—feel free to reach out, even if it’s just to be friends!
what else is there to do on campus (alone) other than go to the library
With the proximity of underground and edgewood who goes clubbing on the weekendss?
My son was accepted to GSU and University of Alabama. Seems UA is a big party school. Is GSU similar for those Freshman on campus? Thank you
Hey, I’m an international student, and it’s been seven months now, but I still haven’t really found my people here. It gets lonely sometimes, and I’d love to meet someone to share good conversations, go on outdoor adventures, grab a drink, or just have a meal together. If you’re looking for a friend too, I’d love to connect.
Hey everyone!
I’ve been in the U.S. for about 6-7 months now, and while college has been great, it’s also been pretty lonely. As an international student, making friends hasn’t been the easiest, so I’m hoping to change that!
If you’re someone who: Wants a study buddy for library sessions (so we can pretend to be productive together). Enjoys coffee runs, chill hangouts, and random deep convos. Is always down for food adventures and exploring the city.
Then we should totally be friends! I’m just looking for some genuine connections—people to share laughs, study sessions, and maybe even a little bit of academic suffering with. We can start a group chat on Instagram, share socials, and get to know each other before meeting up.
