I've been thinking about doing marketing. However, is the finance program good here. I've seen that we have great rankings for that.
I'll be going back in the spring and was wondering how the finance classes are/if you learned anything
Hey, I'm a new freshman on the Gainesville Campus. Are there any last second tips that I need to know about life at UNG or college in general? Thank you!
Hey, I'm a new freshman majoring in business. Does anybody have any recommendations for a laptop that won't break my account?😅
I know the EA deadline is in November - but what is the earliest date you can apply for the fall 2025 semester? Or when would you recommend someone start the application process as an incoming freshman?
Hi i might be going to ung as a last minute decision. I know it may be a stupid question but what are the chances there would be a dorm for me if I do decide to go to ung now?

How is Thinh Kieu as a professor over the summer term and is the class very hard?
I have 8 classes left, and they are ALL my CSCI 3xxx-4xxx and CYBR 3xxx-4xxx classes. I did not decide on a major until last semester, which is why I don't have electives left. Would it be possible to finish school in the next 2 semesters if I took 4 upper-level CSCI classes each? I know upper-level CSCI courses are challenging, but I was thinking that if I lived off of my savings I could really grind and get this finished ASAP. How realistic is this?
Just as the question states, I'm trying to figure out if I'll get a full refund if I drop a UNG online class during add/drop?
I’ve been thinking about trying to get one there.
Hey guys! I’m a first semester freshman about to go into my second semester and I need help on if I should take an Intro to Statistics/Elementary Statistics through eCore. I have never taken a class through eCore so I’m just wondering is it harder or easier? Does eCore use my lab math Pearson for their math classes or is it through a different format? If anyone has done this class or another math class through eCore please reach out!
I would love to hear your experience. I am not taking anything required for work but for my own enjoyment, though I would consider a digital marketing cert to try to boost my resume as well. Did you enjoy your experience? What were exams and class delivery like? Thanks

Hey everyone! I wanted to reach out because I know this time of year can be incredibly busy and stressful with school work and preparing for finals. To alleviate that, I thought it would be helpful to share a FREE new study tool called Thea Study! Thea Study uses AI to create:
You can upload class notes, lectures, or simply describe your test to Thea and it will create all the study materials for you! Thea can also summarize research articles and textbook pages to be much easier reads. This is a teacher-friendly tool and does NOT promote cheating.
I am interning with Thea Study so you can use my referral code STUDY at https://www.thea.study/register?referralCode=STUDY
Good luck with final exams!
I'm a incoming student for next year, and I'm wondering how's the business program? Is it different on the any of the campuses?
Has anyone had Anna Duke for accounting 2102E over the summer and is willing to share their experience? I'm debating between taking her and Jason Matthews at UGA. So if anyone has experience with either one of these professors and could share what it was like, that would be great.
I've heard that the dorms open August 10th. Does everyone show up then or do they have something ahead of time for freshmen?
Hi! My brother is planning to start at the Dahlonega campus this fall. For his graduation, I want to get him some gift certificates for places around town - coffee shops, restaurants, kayak rentals, etc. Preferably things that are an easy walking/biking distance from campus and popular with students.
Hello,
Is anyone an out of state student at UNG that could tell me how much it has costed them for their first year?
I’m trying to see if UNG is an option for me as I won’t have my parents supporting me and don’t have great chances at getting fasfa. Thank you
Pretty much what the title says, Im a GT student planning on taking Physics 2212 & 2212L @ UNG as a transient student. Want to register for the fully at a distance course variant (CRN 2510 and 2513). If anyone is willing to hold it for me (need physics 2211 prereq complete) and drop it so I can register for it when my time ticket is available (April 29), I will compensate $10. Shoot me a pm if interested
Can anyone who has taken precalculus at the UNG Oconee campus tell me how it is? Looking into taking it here or at Athens Tech over the summer.

I’m looking for a quiet but open parking lot for me and a few friends to practice some motorcycle safety drills where we will be out of anyone’s way and also not have many people driving through our cones. Location is the dahlonega campus. Thanks!
Hello all. I am a nontraditional student in my freshman year, second semester. Unfortunately, after the summer semester, I will have aged out of the HOPE I earned in high school. However, I had a 4.0 last semester (4 classes) and am doing my very best to maintain a 4.0 this semester (4 classes) as well.
My younger brother also attends UNG at a different campus, and has told me that a person can still earn HOPE in college. How do I go about doing this--or who can I talk to about this? I have spoken to my financial advisor at least twice about this very thing, but am given no direction.
I have also found it very difficult to find scholarships for single, childless women nearing their 30s. I would be so appreciative if anyone has any resources in this regard as well.
Happy Spring Break! 🌻
Hey guys! How many people here play Pokemon go on the GVL campus? I see a lot of people in gyms and stuff but when it comes to raids I rarely ever see people do them. I was wondering if people wanted to do the 5 star raids during raid hour every week on Wednesday so we can get them done faster and get better Pokemon!
