I up and stopped cutting my hair 2 and a half years ago and I haven't touched it since. Any recommendations on a salon that can trim it but keep it long?
I currently live in Charleston (originally from Atlanta area) and am moving back to Georgia next year in PTC.
I am currently getting my Master’s in clinical mental health counseling and now need to look for internships in PTC for my clinical year. Anyone know any good nonprofits or any practices in need of an intern? I am mainly interested in working with trauma victims and children.
Is there anywhere left that has decent sized wings that are over 1$ per wing? Love wings, but hate paying 18$ for 12 wings the size of Jolly Ranchers and celery that I won’t eat.
Is there a map, list, or an app that shows public charging locations for electric golf carts? If so, does anyone have a link to it?
If it doesn’t exist, and anyone wants to help gather a list of locations with me, I’d be willing to make the app myself for all to use freely. I’m new to the area so it’s hard to know where I can and can’t charge it. If I can put together a list though, I’d love to create an app similar to the golf cart navigating apps that show public charging locations.
Found a dog not sure what to do with it, called a non emergency line and they said the animal people might call me, is there anything else I can do l?
My husband and I have three kids under the age of 5, we are looking to move to Peachtree city Ga. Is this a good area? Good schools? What's there to do in other cities near by? We are 25 and still like to go out sometimes, we are moving from Florida so we know to expect a difference in things to do. Recommendations for nice 3 bedroom apartments? I'm having a hard time finding legit reviews for some places it seems like they just flood the good reviews making it seem to good to be true.
Hey everyone! I'm thinking about moving to Peachtree City, GA as a single person of color with a $74k salary, having heard you need at least 100k to live comfortably sounds daunting. Wondering if it’s a good fit—how’s the cost of living, renting options (Considering Camden Apartments at the moment), and the social scene for someone in their mid 20s? Also curious if it's a welcoming place and how the commute to West Point city is. Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!
Edit: Sorry for the late edit, but what I meant by social scenes was not like bars and clubs or anything, much more like sports and outdoor activities to do with a group. I am a homebody myself so I like to spend time at home a lot.
Edit 2: Sorry for the confusion but I realised I put Atlanta and not West Point where I would actually work.
Thinking about moving to peach tree city. Love the idea of being able to kayak in the lake but wish you could swim.
Where is the best place to swim near by?
Hey folks.
Tsuchinshan–ATLAS is supposed to be visible around sunset through the end(ish?) of October or so, getting higher in the sky but dimmer as the month wears on.
My wife has been going outside around dusk for the past few days but she hasn’t been able to spot it, even with her binoculars and a stargazing app. Too many trees around our house.
Has anyone been able to see it and can recommend a good public spot where she can go to check it out? She would be thrilled. I think she’ll be pretty disappointed if she can’t spot it this time. The 80,000 year wait for the next time might be a bit of a stretch.
Thanks in advance!
Canadian here I am coming down to Peachtree city for a few weeks. I am interested in seeing what the ATL area has to offer. What are some of the best things to do in the area? Also where is the best place to try some true southern food, I've been wanting to try for years. Always see it on TV but I never have made it down to the area yet.
We are relocating to the Atlanta area and am struggling with moving ITP or PTC. I know they are vastly different but we can’t decide if PTC is something we should do when our kids are little older (say 5 or 6) and experience the city life while they are so small (2 and younger).
Are most families in PTC school aged kids? Are there certain villages/neighborhoods that skew young families?
Was also wondering what villages/areas are best for accessing the golf paths? Are there areas of the city we’d want to live if we want to take advantage of that?
Any advice is appreciated!
Hello, my husband and I moved to PTC a year ago. We bought a house and wanted to start a family and settle down in the City. Unfortunately, he ended up being laid off and we had to relocate far sooner than we wanted to. It is forcing us to sell our home. We talked to a few real estate agents and with a 6% commission and needing to pay taxes for not being in our home for 2 years, going that route would cause us to lose almost $40,000, 5% brings it down to $30,000. We also looked at renting until we gain equity, but the quote we got would be losing us $200/mo in management fees. So we decided to try and sell by owner, but still offer a buyer agent commission so we would only lose half of that amount. We had 3 different agents price it for us, so we are confident in the price then we posted it on the MLS using a flat fee agent. It had showings, but no real movement or offers. The 30 days for the MLS listing expired, so now we are left with a strict ForSaleByOwner (FSBO) status. As such we have been getting nonstop calls from investors looking to purchase the property to rent it out. A couple calls to view the property, but nowhere near the near impossible amounts of calls from agents wanting to sell for us, or foreign entities wanting to swoop in and develop the property. I have moral issues with selling to an investment firm, as I think homes in PTC should remain in the hands of private families rather than conglomerate businesses. However, my husband thinks we should just sell to let it go and not worry about who buys it.
Has anyone else sold FSBO in the area? Is there any opinions on homes in the area being bought out by investment firms? Any ideas on how to get the word out that it is For Sale without an agent? We are aware we are going to lose a chunk of money in the process of selling this home, we are just trying to minimize the damage so any advice is appreciated.
My wife and kids are moving from MN and looking to settle in the greater PTC area for work.
How would you compare Tyrone to PTC to Fayetteville?
Probably interested in a newer subdivision with other families.
Thanks!
The chemical plant fire that started yesterday in Conyers is releasing so many chemicals into the air still today. I am just curious if this is something we should worry about being carried in the air to our area. They have extended the shelter in place for Rockdale county but it seems a bit naive, maybe, to think that those chemicals will not travel in the air.
Any thoughts?
Hii! Any recommendations in the PTC/Coweta area?
I (49) and my son (13) have recently gotten into Warhammer 40K. Wondering if there are other players local who might want to game with us? Father, son groups would be awesome but open to anyone really...
Thanks!
Hi everyone, looking to purchase a golf cart and ran into Botero Golf Carts. They have cool carts and most are the lithium Evolution model. Anyone has any reviews or comments on this model?
Visiting my family in PC next week and am training for the nyc marathon. Need to do 15 miles on Sunday but not really sure where to go or what path/trail to follow. Any recs would be greatly appreciated!
36M In town for week. Was looking to meet new people. Any suggestions?
Is there enough wind on Lake Peachtree to sail lasers?
I run and cycle regularly. Was wondering if any of you use Strava while out on the paths.
Moving to PTC, wondering if anyone can recommend trusted professionals in the area who perform Botox. Recs from Fayetteville also good!
I’ve been looking online to try to figure this out but have not found anything very clear that outlines this. Anyone have any experience with this?
Lived prior in Atlanta but moved out of state. Nearing retirement but not sure if Atlanta's vibrant scene is for us anymore, maybe too chaotic. Looking for walkable/bikable neighborhoods to retail, and an active community. Know PTC is a golf cart community but is biking frowned upon? What's healthcare like in the are. Thanks for sharing thoughts.
