I am a recently widowed mother of an elementary school aged child. We were an active duty military family, stationed overseas when it happened. I have no familial ties anywhere in the US (I am a US citizen though) and I am looking for a safe place to move with my son. I have discovered Peachtree City and it looks beautiful, good schools, safe. But my biggest (and saddest) concern is that I would feel out of place because it’s such a family oriented community and I no longer have a family - it’s just me and my son. Are there any other people in my situation?
I know this is the bubble, but what are your thoughts on the data center goin up in Fayetteville
Thinking about moving into an apartment at Balmoral Village, just curious to see if anyone has stayed there and could give me some info on it!
Can anyone suggest a good basement finishing contractor who isn't outrageous and who is professional enough to pull permits?
We are looking to fence in a few acres - economically - within the guidelines of Peachtree City. We will need a company that can locate the property lines, accurately, and pull the correct permits as necessary.
Does anyone have any recommendations??
Thank you for your help!
Do any of the local gyms (or anywhere really) have a heated pool? I checked out the YMCA but it’s really a therapy pool not really a place for laps
Hello! My family is thinking about a move, and we are considering Peachtree City. We currently live in southern Kentucky, but moved here about 4 years ago from Chicago area. We enjoy the milder weather and have no desire to return to an area where we would have 6+ months of winter again.
We also have decent public schools in our current town (probably not as good as we had in Chicago burbs), so that is an important factor for us. We have one elementary aged child.
One thing I, personally, do not like about our current area is that it has a really insular, small town feel (though it's really not that small and is constantly growing) -- there is an "insider circle" and if you aren't from here/haven't lived here for 15-20 years+, you are never going to break in. We've been here 4 years, and I haven't made any close friendships, not for lack of trying. I'm on my child's school PTO board, volunteer regularly, joined gyms, hosted parties (mainly for my kiddo), planned playdates, etc and it's just not going to happen at this point.
My husband works remotely (his home office is back in Chicago), so we don't get the benefit of knowing colleagues either (I'm a SAHM for now).
If we decide to move, I would really like a community that has more of a friendly, welcoming vibe where it doesn't matter so much that you aren't "from here." I've asked around and I've heard from one or two people that since PTC serves the airline community and a few international companies that there is a fair amount of people that move in and out so it's a bit more open as a whole.
Would love to hear thoughts on that aspect from residents!
Beware of a mid 2000’s white civic with handicap placard in rear view mirror. This person has run me off the road multiple times. I plan on calling the police to make a report, but if you see this person be careful around them. They are super aggressive driving.
I know this is controversial, but I am really curious how Trader Joe's will do. They were hesitant to build because we have a low population density for where they usually open stores. The avenue location is not great, but it's the only shopping center in town that is big enough and doesn't already have a grocery store. There used to be a Harry's in a Hurry where books a million was 20 years ago when the avenue opened and it shuttered after a year. PTC has grown and Sprouts and FRESH Market have survived. It always seemed like the people who wanted TJ's was a small, but very loud group of people. What do you think? Will Trader Joe's be popular in the bubble?
We’re just on the south side of Starr’s Mill High School and out of power. Fireplace going, vodka flowing. Anyone else?
Trader Joes released a list of stores opening in USA in 2025...not only is PTC missing from list, but Georgia too.
Saw a banner hanging over where Tuesday Morning was located. It indicated Books a Million opening soon. Perhaps rumors of Trader Joe moving into BAM's location at The Avenue are true..
Fingers Crossed....
Saw 4 PTC cars in lot. 3 out front, 1 on side of building where former customer pickup was located. While inside shopping, did not see anything unusual..shopping as normal
Curious what was up..(??)
Our church has an awesome band with a variety of musicians. We enjoy the live music, but would also love to find somewhere to enjoy dinner and listen to music. Dancing and mingling.
Anywhere close to PTC?
Any recommendations for your favorite movie theater and why?
Thanks!
Police looking for a possibly armed black male wearing grey hoodie and black shorts. Ran on foot from police, left a female and a baby behind. Police using K9 and drone among other resources.
How did PTC get the moniker, "The Bubble"?
What is, "The BUbble"?
Any suggestions for BBQ around or in PTC? I just read that McMasters has closed.
In town visiting family. Seems to be almost no pinball places besides in Atlanta proper. I'm from Houston and enjoy playing. Anyone have any info on places in Peachtree City or surrounding area?

I've got about a half acre of wooded area I want cleared. Anyone have any good recommendations for budget friendly forestry mulchers or land clearing services?
Looking for a local store that actually stocks them.
Does anyone know where I can find some V-60 filters locally? Without using Amazon or going into Atlanta.
Yes, I’ve procrastinated. Know of any places that still live/fresh Christmas trees for sale? Thank you in advance 🙏
Elf Village is back. The magic only lasts a short time before the elves leave until 2026
Hey all,
Does anyone have a local recommendation for LASIK?
Ideally not a LASIK factory, but rather a specialized doctor.
Thanks in advance.
