My large family is moving to Gwinnett in summer 2025. We currently live in West Atlanta. My husband is from Duluth and I went to high school in Cumming but I’m from NE GA. We have 5 kids aged 1, 9, 11, 13, 14 and we are looking for a home around $700k. Since Seckinger opened less than 2 years ago it’s not rated on GreatSchools. We are going to have high schoolers/drivers for the next 9 years. Atlanta schools are terrible and we all know it takes 15-55 minutes to go 5 miles. I’ve heard Seckinger is the only AI school and it’s the top. I’ve heard good things about Mill Creek as well. How are the demographics? How are the teachers? Athletics? College prep? What else should we be looking and asking for? Community?
What’s the best gym with a sauna?
Any considerations before I make a move? Thanks in advance
Hi! I posted about finding this good boy the other day and wanted to give an update but Reddit wouldn’t let me edit the original post. We were able to get him in to GCAS this morning and already miss him tons.
He was awesome with our other dogs and kids. I don’t think he’s been around cats very much so he was VERY interested in them. He has a very sweet demeanor and we would have loved to keep him if it was an option.
Please adopt him and change his name ASAP. We called him Ozzy but the shelter is calling him Cookie (🤢🤢🤢).
Looking for a place to watch Survivor Series tonight with some friends. Not sure if any places actually do show WWE shows around here, but figured I'd ask.
Any apartment recommendations in Lawrenceville or Buford? Or any apartments close to those cities? Something $1600 or less. I don’t qualify for low income housing.
Hi, Ive been in Gwinnett for a while now but I can never end up finding places that are able to braid my hair for a more cheaper price. I always end up paying $240-300 on knotless braids alone, im not asking for a price like $100 just a little below $200 any suggestions?
What are some your favorite cheap restaurants that you would recommend to other people? What are the best restaurants in the county? I’m down for any cuisine! 😁
I know it’s a long shot but does this dog look familiar to anyone? We found him on Thursday in the snellville/centerville area.
Moved to Gwinnett a little over 6 months ago and have had no luck finding friends. I've tried apps and the gym to try to talk to the girlies but haven't had a luck, any tips or anything!? (: thanks
I'm searching for a place that offers coolant exchange. Please comment the place and the price. TIA
Hi everyone! My friend and I are interested in trying barre for the first time and are looking for recommendations for an instructor in the Gwinnett County area. We’d prefer to start with a private lesson or join a really small class where the instructor can give us personalized attention.
We’re not looking to join larger studio classes like those at Pure Barre since we’re beginners and want to focus on learning proper form with more individualized guidance. If you know any great instructors or studios that offer this kind of setup, we’d love to hear about them!
Hello! I believe my cat was caught a cold and was searching for an ❗affordable❗ vet clinic in the area, especially since I am a college student!! Is there any great recommendations you guys have? I've been looking at gwinett animal clinic and value vet but neither have a pricing guideline so I'm hesitant.
Hello,
Any Commercial Real Estate Agent Recommendations???
Within the next year, I want to try to start a Salon Suite Business. I will rent out a space, begin construction within the space to create multiple suites, to then rent out to individual beauty specialists (Hair Stylist, Barbers, Nail Technicians, ect.)
I am in the process of looking for a location in Gwinnett County or the Metropolitan area of Atlanta in general...
If I could receive some recommendations of quality Commercial Real Estate Agents, it would be greatly appreciated....
Looking for a part time on Saturday & Sunday I don’t mind the hours .
I’m looking to pick up some milk crates for a project I’m working on for decent price. Everywhere I look online is asking for 15 dollars per crate plus a 15 dollar shipping fee on top of that. Does anyone know where I might find some for about 5-10 dollars a crate?
Christmas is approaching quickly! If you’re thinking about adding a new furry companion to your family, PLEASE consider fostering/adopting! The shelters and rescues are full of almost any dog you can think of and packed with all sorts of kittens/cats. If you’re looking for a specific breed or have requirements/questions, please don’t hesitate to ask and I will help guide you!
Hi guys.
My washing machine is shaking violently, does any1 know a contractor who can fix it? Or is it better just to buy a new one?
Thanks.
The spring on our garage door opener broke yesterday. Any recommendations on a good repair service in the Lilburn area?
A new effort has begun to build the best list of the holiday displays for Atlanta area families, so let's put Gwinnett Christmas lights on the map this holiday season. Volunteers are joining the Official Map of Christmas Lights Near Atlanta Georgia Facebook group that is using Big Red Bulb to build the list and map. It should be easy if a few can offer to help as we spot lights driving around the county.
What are your favorite restaurant bathrooms in Gwinnett?
I was able to renew my passport years ago by getting forms at the post office and mailing it right then and there. Does anyone know if this is still an option in the county?
In Gwinnett and surrounding counties?
i recently bought a used car n can't afford the ad valorem tax. it's abt $600 n that was my fault, whatever. i saw someone say on reddit that u could "split" the tax and pay a certain amount at the office and the rest over the next 12 months, is this true? it sounds wild. i was also considering selling the car but considering i dont have the title in my name i dont think that's possible, right? the title have rn is from the owner i just bought the car from and my name is under the new owner part of the title. my dad was saying i could give the car up at a dealership too. what are my options? lol
thank u sm!
hii is anyone giving away their sewing machines or selling it? i’d be glad to pickup. i’m in the lilburn area but i can drive. thank you!
I just got a new home here in Gwinnett and the previous pest control company took away the termite stations since the seller stopped paying a while ago prior to the sale.
A new pest control company wants to charge anywhere from $600-1100 one time installation fee for termite stations and then $300 yearly service fee. They say I need like 15-20 stations.
Is this a fair estimate? I also want to know if there are any good pest control companies which have good service and provide discount during thanksgiving week.
I've been needing to get out more and my regular events aren't until December. Any suggestions?
Hell, if anyone wants to grab a beer, I'm down for meeting and greeting. Do people do that anymore?
