Resource for getting or giving non-medical help in Atlanta during COVID-19 pandemic

If you need non-medical assistance (such as getting groceries, medicine, or supplies) or can volunteer to help a neighbor, please check out CovidAssist. As the Atlanta area continues to take precautions surrounding COVID-19, we want to make sure that vulnerable neighbors are still able to get help if they need it!

Sign up to volunteer or get help at www.CovidAssist.org. And please also help us spread the word to make sure this get to those who need it most!

Covid Assist is a nationwide organization that connects volunteers with neighbors who can’t leave their homes and need help with basic non-medical tasks. We use text messaging to make connections quickly and securely, and ensure that volunteers and neighbors keep a safe distance from each other.

Covid Assist was created by VOCA, a three-year-old civic engagement startup, and uses VOCA’s existing technology to match volunteers and community members in need. Signing up for Covid Assist does not sign you up for VOCA, and we do not and will never sell user information. You can check out the work we're already doing here: New service offers help to those sheltered in place

CVS on Ponce? Pharmacy problems!?

Is anyone having trouble getting their prescriptions filled, or getting them filled right?! I CAN'T be the only one with the problem. I think there's been some staff turnover...

This past month, my husband had to call his doctor 3 times to send the prescription and the CVS staff said they never got it. With myself and a separate doctor, we did that dance twice. Then the staff tried to charge me $453 for the prescription I've gotten there FIVE YEARS IN A ROW. They had no idea why the cost was so high. I had to tell them a code was wrong.

I'm speaking to the district manager tomorrow. Please let me know your stories so I can communicate them.

Pools in midtown

As we wait for Memorial Day and the opening of public pools, are there any hotels, apartment, or condo buildings in midtown with easily accessible pools for a sun-deprived midtown resident? Does anyone want to share their apartment code with me? Thanks in advance!

LOST DOG near Ansley - please help!

LOST DOG near Ansley shopping center. Black lab named Katie, wearing a blue collar... Please help!

UPDATE 12/30: Katie was just spotted this morning (Sat) around Hillpine drive and Courtenay. She seems to be sticking to the woods following the creekbed, coming out into backyards occasionally. Her blue collar seems to have fallen off

UPDATE 12/31: Katie was spotted on someone’s security camera on Yorkshire road around 6:30am this morning (Sun). Like last time, she wandered into the backyard from the woods. She seems to be sticking to this area.

UPDATE 1/1: WE FOUND KATIE!! :) :) :) A huge thank you to everyone for your help and advice over the past few days, and Happy New Year!!
