I've been struggling with finding a part-time job for about a month now and wondered if anyone in this subreddit currently works for a hiring place. I'm a capable male and have worked in customer service at a restaurant as well as a suit store. I also spent a couple of summers working as a camp counselor at a summer day camp. My availability is wide open once I finish my finals and I'll even be taking a gap semester next semester so I'm in it for the long run.

I am also open to doing manual labor which I also have experience in through doing yard renovations and working for an organizing company where I move and clean homes to get them ready for resell.

Fellow film students, what’s your experience with internships at KSU? I’m majoring in Media and Entertainment and I’m trying to get an internship next year. I’m trying to decide exactly what I wanna do, so I’m not picky about the job. It can be pre-production, editing, on set experience, etc. It doesn’t even have to be on a film set, I’m really open to any production position. But I’m really struggling to find anything. I’ve been looking on Handshake and KSU’s Wordpress list, there’s limited options and most of them are closed. How did you guys get internships? Any good resources?

Well, I’ve been giving it my all and studying hard for this chemistry final, but I just got my Test 4 results, and they weren’t what I hoped for—I scored a 43. Now, I’d need at least a 70 on the final to pass with a 70.

I'm a senior in highschool hoping to attend. I've got a 3.4 gpa but i've got a class that's panning out very poorly for me and I'm worried that i'll fail. will this effect my chances of getting into KSU significantly? it would be the first class i'd ever failed.

edit: I've got friends who tell me it's not gonna be a big deal because they say it's a school anyone can get into but i'm not convinced

Yes i know it’s sad. But im finishing up my first semester and i haven’t made a single friend, and ive probably talked to people maybe TWICE. im introverted and kind of anti social, so me even going up to talk to somebody seems impossible. im alternative and i try to compliment other alt people, but they just seem so cool and intimidating so i often just get scared and not do it. i just feel really disappointed in myself for not putting myself out there, but i just can’t for some reason. any tips?

I already am one! I don't know why this annoys me so much. If you're going to try to look like you care about your students, at least make sure you're not blatantly disregarding my experience.
