Not sure if this is allowed on the sub, so please remove if it's not!
Unfortunately, my friend and I can no longer make it to the Burn this year. We're looking to sell our tickets, individually or as a pair. Best offer.
Can anyone confirm if ice is being sold at Alchemy this year? I am hearing from sources that no ice will be sold at all on the grounds. I hope this is not true. People will get food poisoning.
Hi all! I'm a Texpat living in TN. Burned 3 times in the ATX area. Was MANY years ago and am considering Alchemy this year! In TX we had an area called the "badlands" for folks who weren't part of a theme camp and it was a first come first serve camping area. It catered to virgins or folks that bought tickets late or didnt want to take part in a theme camp. Is there anything like this at Alchemy? May come solo or may come with a few friends. Thanks !
This was my first year at Alchemy, and my first burn.
I had a ton of fun! The variety of camps and the sights were amazing. I did partake in some things, but alcohol was most of what I did. The pickle run and bar crawl were great.
Tips for other virgins would be to read the damn survival guide! I met many other virgins and a lot of them didn't have warm enough sleeping arrangements, not enough water, didn't have a good way to carry water, or didn't have snacks. I brought a bunch of individual beef jerky packs and they kept me going and let me contribute to people that were hungry all burn. The same thing with my 5 gallon thing of ice water. Multiple people in my camp topped off with ice cold water from it. Also, being a sleeping bag or several blankets.
In any case, I am looking forward to next year.
Hello! My friend has an Alchemy ticket to sell! Message me if you need one!

Hello there! Unfortunately as things go we can’t make alchemy this year and are selling two passes for the event! Please message if interested! Face value or less xx
I started dating a guy about 6 months ago who is really into burns and burn culture. I had not heard the term “burn” until I met him. I had heard of burning man but had no idea what it was. Honestly I thought it was like Coachella lol.
Anyway he wants me to come to alchemy and I’m considering it. But I have hesitations. Would love some honest feedback even if that means you tell me not to go.
Fwiw he and I are both exploring solo poly so we aren’t exclusive and aren’t planning to be. I’m in my late 30s and he’s in his early 30s.
My hesitations:
There are reasons I’d like to go though. Such as:
So….what do you think? Any advice?

Does AT&T and T-Mobile work inside?
I've been to Burning Man a few times... the heat, the drugs, the sex. Never been to the Georgia Alchemy Burn... is this just a mini version of burning man? Anyone there this year can verify?
Hey y'all I still have 3x tickets for sale due to some last minute cancellations!
I'm selling for $120 each or if you want all 3 for $300.
Please let me know!
Just looking for some insight!
Like the title says… I’m looking for a pair of tickets. Please PM me if you have any. Thanks!
Due to PTO I can only take one day off. I can take off Friday or Monday but not both. From my experience at Burning Man I enjoyed the early days of the festival more than Sunday. Do you think I should come on time and leave early? Or come late and leave on time? Any opinions are appreciated!
I know this sub isn't active, but I'd rather post here than the FB group. I'm almost considering not going back this year. The landscape is so sad looking. You always have to be careful about where you're standing so you don't get stung by ants. The geography just.. sucks. Incendia doesn't have a presence anymore, along with other camps that dropped out after Cherokee.
Walking through the burn doesn't feel like an adventure anymore. Just two giant lots separated by some trees. Feels like a dusty wasteland. Not great for certain states of mind that one can find themselves experiencing during the burn.
Camping near effigy hill where the field was elevated and you could see all the lights below. That was magic.
Still love my burn sisters/brothers/others but hope to meet back on the grassy plain one day.
We have just informed a couple that we don't feel comfortable camping with them again bc they refuse to bring anything for radical self reliance (they brought a single watermelon for the whole weekend at Euphoria) and have also refused to volunteer. We have tried educating them on the principles and it seems to go in one ear and out the other. Is there anything else to be done in this situation? It's just frustrating watching the community be taken advantage like this.
Long story short, I have always been interested in Burning Man and started doing deeper research into it a couple days ago. I jumped down the rabbit hole, learned of local burns, and now here I am. I checked out the Alchemy Fest website but I have a few questions ...
- When will info be released/tickets go on sale for Alchemy Festival 2019?
- What's the difference between Alchemy and Euphoria?
- Is it possible to go to Alchemy alone, or should I try to find a group first?
Thank you!! 🙏
Hello, hippies!! I made a Discord server for discussing burns of the Southeast. Since Facebook is super toxic, and the other server that got posted here is abandoned, I'm hoping that this can be a healthier alternative for organizing ride sharing, camp searching, etc.
Hop in and say hello! Thumb up the rules to get posting permissions. https://discord.gg/K6QGKBz

Asking face value at $107.07 each.
