Hi all, have been a gun owner for 15 years or so but in the last 10 years, lost interest in shooting long guns (while remaining interested in hg). I have a circa 2010 AR15 setup that is in great shape that was bought via single shoot exemption and was outfitted with the older school bullet button. Now this has been fully dismantled and kept at home since I don’t go to longer ranges.
Was hoping to get advice from the group re: the best way to sell this? Do I sell off the lower separately from the other components? Do I get things “up to code” (what is the “code” these days for AR15 in California?) and sell it whole? What’s the best channel to advertise and sell? Which are the AR-friendly FFLs in SoCal that can help me with this?
Appreciate your help greatly, I no longer keep up with the latest news so am feeling a little lost and hoping I don’t have to just take it to the local PD gun buyback.
Anybody know if anyones shown their Black Friday deals yet?
Hope to get some recommendations for private outdoor ranges in Socal - ideally within 1.5 hours from OC. Also would like to know if they allow non-members to try them out?
Anyone on here from the 805? like Oxnard or Ventura?
Is anyone aware of a gun store in SoCal that reliably stocks a variety of Nightforce optics?
I want to check out the ATACR 4-16 and new 4-20 in person.
San Diego - LA is my area.
Hi everyone,
I’m recently back into firearms. I’m getting a trauma kit so I can be a good little boyscout, but gear without training is useless.
Where would you recommend for a proper first aid class for shooters?
Thanks.
What is the best gun belt for canceled carry
Is there anyway to have this legally in California? I’m going nuts that I can’t have it. There has to be a way besides moving. I’m kinda obligated to live here unfortunately.
I'm in Temecula where it's relatively low humidity and right now I'm just storing ammo in my bedroom closet where it will be air conditioned, but not until we turn the air on for the summer. I just started shooting so don't have a lot of ammo but was wondering whether I should get something that's air tight and with moisture absorption or whether that's overkill for where I'm at.
Eventually, I'm planning to move it all to a locked StackOn-like cabinet, but haven't done that yet. It'll still be in my bedroom, though.
If I should get a container, any suggestions?
I need to find a good FFL for my online handgun order. So far, the cheapest one I found is a $75 transfer fee per handgun. Do you know any FFL providing cheaper transfer fees in South Bay, Los Angeles, and OC?
Can anyone tell me if the 30 day period starts from the day the dros was initiated or does it start the day the delay notice was given? Also if there a time frame in which I have to pick up? Curious as I may be out of town for 1 week after the 30 days...
Anyone know what device daniel defense uses for ca compliant rifles when ordering from daniel defense to your ffl?
Want to buy Glock 19 X
Hello I just bought my first handgun (springfield hellcat) I know that to transport it in a car you have to have it unloaded locked away in the trunk of the car but I drive a f150 single cab so do I just put it in a locked container in the bed? Or is it ok if I have it in a locked container in the cab of the truck, thank you very much
If you guys are looking for a great LGS in SoCal/Inland Empire, check out GLS Armory in Rancho Cucamonga. They are a small home based ffl but helped me with my first gun purchase and taught me all the basics of how to handle a gun. Super knowledgeable, helpful and you guys should check them out!
I'm trying to renew my CCW in LA county through the sheriffs department who gave me my initial license. When applying online, it's saying the "application times out, please reload page." It's done this a few times now. Any fix?
On another note. The problem might be that my address is now saying it falls under LAPD jurisdiction, although the Sheriffs dep. gave me my CCW a few years ago. Anyone have this issue. Seems like my Jurisdiction changed even though I never moved.
Just wondering if anyone had heard if Glock was going to be adding anything to the roster. I'd like to grab a Glock 40 Gen 4. Maybe I'll settle for an aftermarket long slide Glock 20 instead.
Hey everyone I’m new to the SoCal San Diego area, are there any outdoor or private ranges where I can do shooting drills, and transition drills without worry of getting kicked out
Anyone else in SoCal training with NODs? If so, where do you go? What's your setup?!
Quick question for those who have done the CCW in LA County.
Anyone with modified handguns? I have a G19 tricked out by Agency arms, nice stippling job, red dot, etc.
Would this fly as an approved CCW gun?
I have a Remington 700 spa 16.5” barrel, would it be legal for me to throw a collapsible stock chassis on there? What is the legality with bolt actions?
Trying to source an hk45c is anyone has one or has seen one listed on consignment somewhere.
Thank you for the help!
So I have my qual date fast approaching and need to buy a CCW compliant handgun- having a hell of a time in SoCal finding the SW MP 9 Shield. Because I will need to qualify with it, I've been trying to get my hands on one quickly. I have other handguns but need this model specifically ( more taste than anything else) can anyone name some places you've found with great deals or leads? TIA
