My father-in-law is a bit stubborn and won’t let me assist him in the process of switching over to CCWPro. He applied using the old system in December 2023 and has his interview next week. Will they turn him away?
Don’t know if clubs is the right word. Just looking for people to shoot with. I have my CCW and would love to train with people. Thanks yo
I just bought the M&P 2.0 compact and you’re gonna tell me it’s gonna be on sale in February 😭💀damn it dgm!
Background Investigator called me a few days ago and told me to give my references a heads up he’d be calling. He called all 3 in the same day. About how long after SDSO contacts your references should I expect to get an email? Does this happen concurrently with DOJ check?
Side note I also noticed in CCW pro they upload my prints and photo and it still shows as “appointment complete.”
I’m on day 67 for those also stuck in the waiting game and curious. I am hopeful it doesn’t take the full 90.
I wanted to know how hard or easy the FSC test is. Also where can I practice for it either online or in person. I know where to go to take the test but I want to make sure I pass.
I’m 95% of the time a solo range visitor and can’t bring my girl with me every time to rent. Currently in the market for a new micro 9 to carry and need to try some out to make some decisions. After reading a few websites they state if you’re solo, you can’t, period. But then I hear people here state you can if you have your own firearm? Please and thanks.
The process was very simple, here's the timeline.

Found these on r/idiotswithguns & r/liberalgunowners . It’s insane the type of people this place will attract. Going on a weekend is the absolute worst thing you can do.
I can't find their info anywhere i possibly lost my paperwork pack. I have my card and paper license is it on there?

Is this area off limits per SB2? Thanks in advance, I’m confused on if this counts as a park?
Whenever I go to a range or gun shop I feel they always have the expensive ammo and can never find a good deal on 9mm and end up paying way to much. I read online that I may be able to oder ammo and send it to a dealer but I wouldn't even know where to start with that. Does anyone have experience with this or know where to get rounds without breaking the bank?
Anyone else banking on this passing? Trump also said he would push for this, possible executive action im hearing
I paid like $160 for the classes and everything else through a company on az and got my approval.. in 4 days!
Emailed the SDSO that I uploaded my training certs and payments, and received this back. 4-6 weeks seems excessive for issuing.

Change of plans, so there are now 2 openings if you've been looking for an earlier date!
With all the fires, I'm wondering if it's still open. We haven't had a lot of rain this year.
Too lazy and no time to clean guns. Any recommendations on a gunsmith who does deep cleaning?
Anyone have any experience with Nanpor Security in Oceanside? Was thinking about going to them for the initial 16 hour CCW class since they're priced well. Haven't heard anything about them though so I figured I'd ask here. Thanks in advance.
Do anyone know of any local shops that have an older marlin 336 for sale? Looking for a project gun.
I’m going camping in a few weeks in Anza borrego specifically Blair valley. Does anyone know of any BLM land near by where I could go shooting?
Anyone know anywhere I could get a walther pdp? Yes I understand they’re off roster
Anyone been to Pink gate recently to verify if it's open?
What is everyone’s experience in the timing of the background check. I recently had my “interview” and the clerk said it would take the full 90 days. I can’t believe it takes that long with the technology we have in place.
I’ve also been approved for an AZ CCW, so I’m already in the “system”. Will this help expedite, or do I just have to be patient?
EDIT:
If you own a gun for self defense, Massad Ayoob's MAG20 Armed Citizen's Rules of Engagement is coming on March 8-9.
Learning how to shoot is the easy part.
Learning when you should shoot and dealing with the aftermath is the hard part.

Update: Would like to thank everyone for the helpful information. Knocked out the FSC yesterday and made my first purchase.
Hi Everyone,
New to California and trying to navigate the CCW application process.
Searched through the sub and wasn’t able to turn up any info on this.
Edit: I come from MA where a permit is required to purchase firearms. First I’ve ever heard of an FSC.
Wouldn't it be nice if local ranges (PWG/DGM/Balboa ....) had some simple competition days/times for those who got bored shooting the same paper targets. Maybe even as simple as the same paper shooting but with added excitement and evaluation of one's capabilities compared to others. Some prizes like a pair of safety glasses or a pack of gun cleaning patches would not break the bank either.
