I have been living in Switzerland for 3 years. I have a Spanish passport and I am married to a Swiss and have a B resident permit. When I came to Switzerland my Spanish gun permit was still valid, but has expired since then (over 1 year ago). Recently I apply to purchase a .22lr pistol for training along with a silencer to add to my "collection". I have a Glock 19 and an AK-47. This morning the police called me to tell me my Spanish gun permit is expired and I am not allowed to own a gun with a B permit. I believe they only realized that my permit was expired because I applied for a new weapon. In any case, does anyone have any experience with having a gun with a B permit? Since I've been living in Switzerland I have not and will not renew my Spanish license. I am married and settled here.
Any tips is appreciated 👍🙏
I recently picked up a K11 from Classic Firearms. I was genuinely impressed by the fit and finish of the gun when it came in, no corrosion, barely any wear, just dings and dents in the wood (which looks great IMO). The bore is in good condition, and the rifle was obviously well taken care of. Just handling it and checking out the sights, I'm in love.
But it doesn't shoot straight. At just 100 yards I can't get a group under 36 inches. I straight up have to aim under my target to get hits on paper, and its way over what is expected for a 300m zero. Yes, it's that bad. I'm shooting PPU 174gr which from what I've read has decent QC and none of the other calibers I've shot from them have an issue.
I did take the gun down to bare parts when I brought it home for a deep clean and oiling the wood, I assumed the receiver needs to bed into the stock again but that can't take more than 40 rounds, can it?
This isn't my first surplus rifle, but it is my first Swiss gun. Lavish me with your wisdom, I beg you.
Hello everyone
I recently sold two handguns. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to ask the buyer for the WES and he left without us filling out anything. A few days later I realized my mistake. I have since contacted him but haven't heard anything back and when I call him the combox comes up.
How can I rectify this? And what would the legal consequences be?
Latest addition to my starting collection. In love with it. Cant wait to get the sight on it. Once again, thanks to the guy who sold it to me. My AR15 is just jealous !
I've noticed in the past few months a rather large increase in the availability of Swiss rifles in the US. Specifically bolt actions (K11, K31, etc) which seem to be from private owners. Does that mean original owners died and no family member was interested in keeping it, or owners have decided they no longer wanted to keep them at home? Is there a change in the attitude towards firearms ownership in Switzerland?
Hello i wanted to ask if anyone has some Zenitco Parts for Sale. Like the b33 dustcover and a sport 4 handguard?
Hello everyone,
I have a trip planned to Europe for late September and one of the stops will be Interlaken, Switzerland. I'm interested in finding a local range that rents an SG 550 or... someone who would possibly be interested in taking me to the range in exchange for a range trip on the east coast, U.S, if you ever come this way. Ammo/range costs would of course be covered by me in any scenario. I love going to the range, but equally as much, I love handling and field stripping firearms to see the inside and how they work, so any opportunity to do that while on the trip would be awesome. Thanks in advance for any leads!
Hi, I’m a college student from the US doing a semester abroad in Europe. Next month, I’m going to visit a friend in Zurich. I love guns, and know that there are some guns that are much easier to find in Switzerland than in America. My friend and I are planning to go to a shooting range for an afternoon and rent some guns, and I was hoping that you guys could offer some recommendations for which ranges we go to.
My goal is to try out guns that are rare in other parts of the world - in particular, any variant of the SG550 series of rifles, and if possible, a full auto Glock 18 (which would be a real dream come true). I certainly wouldn’t complain about an opportunity to shoot an HK MP7, either.
Back home I have access to shooting ranges with less special guns (ARs, AKs, MP5s, semi auto handguns, revolvers, etc), but if any Swiss ranges stand out as having particularly excellent prices or facilities then I would still appreciate hearing which ones to go to, even if they don’t have the rarer guns.
Thank you!
Gruessi !
A good friend of mine is looking for a gas pedal for his new p320 but we don’t seem to find any.
Thanks !
Hello,
Except petites annonces.ch do you guys can share some place to sell guns ? I’d like to sell one of mine to fund my first AR15 :)
Thanks and happy Sunday !
does anyone in here know how many moving parts the action of a StGw 57 has compared to an AKM?
Hey, quick question. I am interested to buy an ak (103 or 105 probably) and most of the one i can find have fixed buttstock and I'd like to cjanged it for a foldable one. I'm wondering if it is legal as it change the overall minimal length of the weapon?
Does a StGw 57 with a heavy barrel hold up to a filled methyl nitrate handload? in the 1420's methyl nitrate was known as "Schiesswasser" (german for "shooting water")
