hey all! im looking to get a stun gun and pepper spray but i want to make sure i make the right purchase! ive been looking at SABRE products and they seem ok but im wondering what others experienced with their products and if there's something better i'd like to know! i dont know much about stun guns but any recommendations are greatly appreciated!! thanks in advance!
Looking to buy my first pistol and had my mind set on a HK vp9 that was recommended by a buddy. I did test it at the range, and thought it was great all around but I have a lot of people telling me it’s gonna be impossible to conceal with an optic. For reference I’m 6’ tall and around 190. Sad thing is jumped the gun and bought a $150 tier 1 holster for it… before I buy I’m looking for honest opinions should I look at other options and what would you guys recommend? I got to try out a p365 as well and wasn’t a fan of how it felt personally.
Anyone here know if Tenicor does black Friday sales? I know they do a blem sale but was wondering if they offer a Black Friday sale.
Looking for opinion for carry ammo til i get enough money and time to stack up and shoot a few boxes of hst. Both are 115 grain Carry glock 19.5 if it helps. Would be carry ammo til at least the new year.
Ok so I'm 150 soaking wet and a whopping tall 5'5 turning 21 in afew days and want to order an m9a4. I haven't had my hands on one and shouod go to some stores and get a feel. One selling point is da/sa and all the features. From anyone who has experience is this a good idea or a beretta apx tactical? Thanks for any input
Does anyone know if the eclipse P228 holster will fit a P229R? The site says that it fits a P228 (including RX) which I have never heard of and am wondering if they just don’t have their nomenclature all together.
In my experience
Best: Ruger
Worst: Walther
Just got my first handgun, Shadow Systems CR920XP, with my Hunter Constantine belt and Hilliker Holster.
I’m 5’9” 160lb with about a 29.5” waist. I normally wear looser clothing, but I feel like I’m constantly printing and don’t know if I’m doing something wrong. Right now I’m carrying appendix with the holster clipped on both the belt and my sweatpants. I have the larger claw on right now as I think it makes it look less like a handgun, but I’m still struggling.
Any tips are greatly appreciated.
Just started doing my research and I've narrowed down my choices to three handguns to choose from...
I don't care about budget, I just want something reliable , comfortable to conceal (I'm 5'10); with the least likely chance to accidentally discharge.
I tend to twist my head to the side and down/forward on the draw. I think the side is a bad habit but pushing forward makes me feel more stable. Are there some good reasons to kick that habit and raise the gun to my natural eye-level?
edit: which caliber do I list on my ccw? State: Califronia
To the person who asked about disorienting someone using a weapon mounted light:
In the recent Episode 3 of this season's "Lioness," Zoe Saldana's elite team practices clearing a room in daytime using strobing weapon mounted lights. It looks pretty cool when THEY do it.
So I started my optics search a while back and I kind of did a shotgun approach. I purchased about every optics that I wanted to try. Well now I have a bunch of optics that I don't use. If you are interested pm me. Here are some I have tried:
Trijicon RMR HD Trijicon SRO Holosun 509T Leupold Deltapoint Pro Steiner MPS
I have been researching metal grip modules for months now to update my P365X. I've looked at Sharps Bros, Mischief Machine and Icarus. Has anyone done the same with any of them? If so which one? Or is it not worth it.
Looking to get something that can be run as a CCW in a fanny pack or on a belt. Also be used on a gun belt as a mid ride. Either using something like a QLS. I got this idea from Dara Holsters QLS with DBL2-L. Any recommendations or alternatives?
I want to try the Kore X9 with the Nexbelt Supreme.
TLDR: Received 2 faulty holsters from them, returned them a month ago, been given the run around for the past month with empty promises and no updates. 0 communication initiated on their part.
I've bought multiple holsters from legacy firearms and although the lead time can be long the holsters themselves have always been high quality. Until this last order. In September I ordered 2 custom holsters for my CZ Shadow 2 compact with TLR7HLX. After I received them both they were faulty and didn't work properly. After troubleshooting on the phone they gave the excuse they didn't have proper molds yet for that light and merely made an extension for the TLR7 which might've caused the issue. I got a return label and shipped them back a month ago. You would think returned faulty equipment would be top priority which they seemed to indicate it was. After a week and a half the customer service woman there said she'd look into what was taking so long. Never heard back. 2 weeks ago she said it would get fixed and shipped out tomorrow. Never shipped, no update. 1 week ago I was told again she'd look into it, giving an excuse people had been out lately. No update. It's been 1 month they've given me the run around with 0 communication. Today I asked for some solid communication regarding all this or I would initiate a chargeback for the $215 I spent on their products. Probably some of the worst customer service I've ever received from anyone I've interacted with in the Firearms related space. Shame, I liked all my previous holsters from them but would not recommend them going forward.
I'm new to CCW and have been experimenting with a few different holsters and carry positions. I know holsters and carry positions are highly subjective and vary by person, gun, and holster, so I've been trying a few different holsters and positions to see what I prefer. My carry piece is a S&W Shield M&P Plus 3.1" 9mm.
Recently I tried AIWB for the first time to see if I liked it. After A LOT of research I picked up a Tenicor Velo4 AIWB during one of their blemishes sales because it came highly recommended. It was reasonably comfortable, though not nearly as comfortable for me the kidney IWB. I prefer the kidney IWB when I have a suit jacket on but figured AIWB might be better when I'm wearing an untucked shirt.
Afterwards I have some tenderness/soreness in my upper thigh/groin area, presumably where the holster was positioned. I was mostly standing and walking whole carrying (it was Halloween) and only sitting during the car ride there and back.
I'm taking ownership on this, figuring it's user error on my part. But, is it a positioning issue or a holster issue? Do I need to adjust something (position, ride height)? Or maybe it's normal and there's a break-in period?
For reference, I'm 6', 200 lbs, typical mid-40's dad bod.
Thanks kn advance!

I am looking for a holster for my G29. I plan to put a tlr7hlx on it and im having a hard time finding a holster for it. Im also wondering what kind of clips would be better. Also, i dont know where to “try” on belts or see them in person. I have been seeing a lot of recommendations for Kore and HC. Which would be more comfortable to wear. Open to any kind of holster and belt.
Looking for recommendations for a Kydex pocket holster. I normally carry my Sig P938 in a DeSantis Nemesis, but it’s allowed my safety to disengage a few times now. That’s not as bad as it sounds - the trigger pull is around the weight of a good double action pistol and the trigger remains covered, but I still want to switch to a holster that doesn’t have this problem.
Hi all,
I am a fairly experienced shooter who is looking into buying my first handgun and conceal carry weapon. I have some experience with handguns.
I really only regularly shoot long guns, but given that 30-06 will probably go through half the complex before coming to rest, my current stack of long weapons isn't going to be moving with me and I will be...
With that said, I was looking for some input on guns and (arguably more importantly) holsters to start out my sure-to-expand collection of guns that don't go boom click-clack or Ping!
So please, give me your shit hot takes and opinions on CCW and home-defense handguns
My real needs for this one firearm are:
A solid apartment defense gun that will work well in close quarters
A conceal carry weapon that I can carry most times when I leave said apartment complex.
Something fun and cool
As a side note, I suck at handgun shooting so I guess the easier the better, although I am absolutely fine with the 'ol "just git gud" approach so I really don't care about beginner friendly.
I don't particularly care much about price as long as I really like the thing I'm buying, although under $1000 would be ideal.
Also, I'm kinda racis- I mean, caliberist. Idk, I just look at 9mm like one would look at Casey Anthony doing facepainting at a children's birthday party. I don't know why, I just think its not fun and I've had less luck with it than I have with even like 45 ACP, weirdly enough.
With that said, I am looking at just about everything from revolvers to P320's, so here are some of my options thus far:
My frontrunner is the Bodyguard 2.0 given that its in 380, which I can probably actually shoot straight. It's pretty cheap and seems like a great start to EDC.
This is contrasted with the Walther PPK/S. Its twice as much, but I really like how well constructed it feels and how heavy it is. I'm not the biggest fan of the double/single action though, and since I want the external safety on a handgun I don't want to just leave the safety off.
Other options I have looked at include 1911's- I love that platform a lot. I think 380 wouldn't be a bad go, but it seems I can mostly only get it with about the same number of rounds as the Bodyguard 2.0/PPK so I feel like I get no benefit from picking a 1911 in that caliber.
Obviously I could go 9mm or 45 as well, of which I'd rather just go to 45. I know many people can and do carry a 45, and with the right holster I could see it working out for me.
There is also a Daniel Defense DDH9 which felt... Surprisingly good in my hand despite being in that filthy Luger Caliber. Kind of heavy and a bit big though.
My more unrealistic options I had put some thought into were the Ruger 57 and something in 10mm auto, preferably a 1911.
The 57 would obviously be big and expensive, but at the same time I like how that round shoots and the high mag capacity. I'll have hollowpoints either way so I'm actively looking into how 5.7 hollow points behave upon impact.
The 1911 in 10mm sounds like absolute overkill and I'd have to get real fuckin' good to justify carrying it. I have heard it's a heavy bitch to lug around though and I don't know how realistic that truly is, but it also just sounds fucking awesome and that's gotta count for something.
If any of you have suggestions for 10mm auto, please let me know!
I recently picked up a Rock Island 1911 Officer to use as my EDC and I'm looking for a decent holster for it. I'm using a DeStantis Pro Stealth at the moment since it was cheap and the only thing I could find in my local stores for a compact 1911. It's decent enough for the moment, it retains well and I like that it has a mag pouch so I can have easy access to a spare, but it tends to shift around a bit since it's a single clip holster and it can be difficult to re-holster while wearing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Me and my girlfriend where driving on a Sunday to go hiking. We passed an intersection right by our apartment, and right next to us, a seemingly homeless man was dragging a woman by the hair into the road, and beating her in the head and face with what looked like a metal rod.
I didn't really even think, I parked the car, and think I told my girlfriend to call the police, then got out, hopped a small fence between us and started yelling at him to stop hitting her. The adrenaline was very high, and he wasn't listening. I was scared she could die, so I pulled my gun and threatened to shoot him if he didn't stop. He must have heard me, turned around and dropped the rod then walked away babbling about something. The woman seemed okay, but was dazed, also babbling. The police stated over the phone to go ahead and leave the area and we did. I think they responded in person very shortly after. I don't feel great that it happened, and am sad it scared my girlfriend in the moment but she is very supportive of the decision to intervene.
On the other hand: everyone else who has heard about it has been really divisive on their opinions on the event, some stating I had a hero complex. I'm not sure how to feel about that other than shitty, I just did what I thought was necessary in the moment as a blunt weapon is pretty damn lethal. I was really running in instinct. Any thoughts? Thank you.
