What odd jobs or errands have you done where it was hard to carry and stay concealed?

I was a lifeguard once, but truth be told, that was before I ever owned a gun.

Frangible in the chamber for warning shot.

I've staunchly advocated against warning shots for my entire time around guns. Mainly because they break every rule of gun ownership and reckless endangerment is a thing.

That being said having a frangible wouldn't technically break any rules. As long as the warning shot was into the ground there's (afaik) no risk of ricochet with frangible.

If you needed to use it in self defense it would work then the rest of the mag would be hollow points.

Thoughts?

Edit: to clarify I am not advocating for warning shots. They are still stupid.

Tyrant CNC intelifire trigger

Recently just picked up a 365 xl to be my new carry gun and am not 100% sold yet on not having any sort of external safety. My current carry has been a shield 1.0 with the trigger safety and external safety selector. I don’t particularly care for the safety lever, but really do like the price of mind of a trigger safety. Has any one used the TyrantCNC Intellifire trigger for the 365? It seems like a nice upgrade and what I’m looking for but I’m curious if actual feedback first and not just the reviews on their website.

Carrying at home and in bed

Anyone else carry in bed? I'm not trolling. I have a steel reinforced belt and an old French police drop holster I keep my full size 9mm in. I can walk around in pajamas, and be 100% comfy, and still have 18 rounds at my hip. I sleep with it on since it's a swivel holster and I just flop it over my butt when I'm in the bed

I figure it's safer than keeping it "under the pillow" or on the nightstand.

It's got a retention strap, just push down with your thumb and boom, it's out. I keep it loaded and safety off.

Learning to love the Xiphos Elite

https://preview.redd.it/bp20a7r5layc1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eacd59a12db4f229688bf8cc911fdb121ad66eda

I got my Xiphos Elite in on Monday and after carrying it all week, I'm starting to really enjoy it. I first started with an Axis Elite and liked it for about a year, but the spare mag started to get too uncomfortable. The corner digging into my stomach, as well as making bending over uncomfortable. I do have a little bit of a gut that is being taken care of and may be more of the cause of these issues. Anyhow, I then switched to a Henry Holsters Spark and it was the most comfortable holster I had used at the time, the only issue was with the clips being so close together, the holster would rock back and forth leading to a much smaller gap between the grip and the belt line. With the Axis Elite, the grip was always in the same place due to the spacing of the clips spreading the load out. The Xiphos Elite has merged the gap between the two for me. The comfort of a gun-only holster, with the stability of the wider spaced clips of sidecars. I'd still like to try the highly-recommended Tenicor Certum, but this will definitely be my go-to for a while.

Saved by my license

I was attending a movie that had no signage outlawing the carrying of firearms. The wind caught my shirt and someone behind me saw my gun. They notified the management. Who called the police. I showed them my license. Cop said i was legally carrying. Then they left and I got to see a movie for free. So glad that I went and got my license to carry

Scenario statistics for CCW

Hey all. Does anyone know of any studies/statistics regarding the scenarios in which a CCW holder has drawn and shot their firearm? For example, I'm curious how often someone pulled and fired a CCW in defense of someone else (one or more strangers) vs. in defense of themselves. Or how often someone pulled and fired a CCW against a mugger with a firearm vs. a mugger with a knife. Things like that. It seems like most of the anecdotal information I find suggests that the far more common scenario is that a CCW holder just happens to be in a place where something bad is happening (robbery, mass shooting, etc.), but the CCW holder themselves were not the specific target of the "bad guy". Thanks.

Colorado Handgun Magazine limit.

Yes, I was a transplant to Colorado for a few years but for family reasons I had to return to Indiana.

How are they handling the Handgun Magazine Limit, or are they even at all? I intend to fly to Denver and spend Memorial Day weekend in Fort Collins and even though my handgun and magazines were all purchased in Colorado, I just wanted to see if I should exchange it for another handgun and not get hemmed up for my magazines being over the limit. Even though I bought them in Colorado, mind you, from a reputable shop.

TIA

Small flashlight ring

I have a couple good flashlights, my pocket light that I carry a lot is the streamlight protac 1l 1aa. I'm trying to find a ring for it. For most rings they tell you it's for a 1" flashlight body. Seems like half of them don't think it's important to list the diameters the product will fit. I think the switchback s might work, they didn't specify what diameter it'll fit. Seems like that's the most important thing. Anyway the flashlight diameter is .766"

Anyone have the Tenicor Malus Sol and use a wedge?

I know it has a “built in wedge” but it’s definitely not a wedge and doesn’t change anything, so does anyone who has the same holster also have any wedge recommendations, or know IF a wedge will work with this holster?

Mod-Wing Problems

I have a standard-fare IWB holster and carry at ~1 o’clock. I like running a slight cant that tilts to the outside to make sitting/ bending more comfortable. However, when I do this the mod wing on the holster simply slides below my belt, rendering it useless. Any suggestions on how I could fix this or should I just forget the mod wing altogether?

I have considered a wedge but don’t feel the need to get one if I could make the mod wing work as intended.

Alien gear shapeshifter

Looking at the Shapeshifter for my 43X. Any ideas, recommendations or suggestions? I like the way it looks, but it appears to me to be a little bit bulky to conceal.

Shoulder Holster

Have a Ruger Max-9 and wear business attire daily. I bought a tuck holster but it’s just to obvious when tucking in the AC position and causes the waistline to look deformed drawing attention to it. I bought a shoulder holster at a local gun show, but unfortunately learned when I got home that my gun was too small for the holster and kept falling out. Any recommendations on a good shoulder holster that won’t break the bank?
