Recommendations for where to buy a optic cut slide for a 48?

Hey fam, been looking to get an optic on a 48, but I don't have a cut slide for it. Any suggestions of places to look for o e that don't cost more than the gun itself?

Which you takin? Radian or Roland?

First post in the Glock sub.

Went shooting today with a buddy of mine and he brought his RS. First time shooting one. The bigger comp makes quite a difference when compared to the ramjet.

Gonna mill the slide on my 19x soon for a red dot and it’ll be “done”

Blue label discounts for Glock

I was wondering if being a career firefighter would qualify me for the blue label Glock discounts. Thank you

Is the Threaded 19X MOS the best value Glock? The 1000th 19X vs G45 Post

Hey yall, I’m probably going to pick up a HD/Full Frame Glock this year. I’ve been pretty stuck on getting a G45 MOS for a while. I was doing math in my head and thinking of the potential additions and stuff and it kinda seems like the threaded 19X MOS is the best value.

Hear me out, it’s typically about $100 more than the G45 MOS buuuttt you get suppressor height sights ($50ish), an oem threaded barrel upgrade ($200) and higher capacity magazines on top of it (which I mean I’ll take as many bullets I can get in a SHTF scenario lol). And I actually like the peanut butter aesthetic. So really you’re getting the threaded barrel upgrade for “free” since you’d be spending the same if you change the sights and extend the 17rd mags that come with the G45.

But what you lack with the 19X over the G45 is the modularity (idk if I’d really utilize this), flared magwell, and marksman barrel……

What do I dooooo?

Why is upgrading your glock considered bad?

Hey everyone, I've had something on my mind as of late. Why is changing glock pistols so frowned upon in the community? One of the key selling points to these pistols is that they have "the largest amount of aftermarket support.". If this is being toted as an advantage to the firearm, then why the hate for those that want to change it? Every post I read has people who just shit on people for wanting to change their firearm to better suit them. Now I'm really not trying to start any fights or anything like that, I'm just genuinely curious, why the hate for upgrades?

What do you think of the Primary Arms HTX-1?

If been wanting to get my G19.5 milled and was leaning towards the RMR HD but have been waiting to see if I can snag one at a good price. Meanwhile, I just learned about the new HTX-1 from Primary Arms and am really digging it for whatever reason.

Do you think I'd be making a mistake by changing direction and going with the HTX-1 over a RMR HD?

HandleIt Edge Grips?

Just got a Glock 17 a week ago as my first Gun, I would love to get it completely stippled but that’s a lot of money for me right now. Anyone have any suggestions on the HandleIt Edge Grips or the talon Grips? Or any other stick on alternative. I want some more grip but don’t want it super aggressive to where it’s sandpaper.

Glock 26 g5 with scs mos and gpt with jhonny Glocks modified oem trigger shoe, not a bad combination at all. This over the slimline models!

This thing is awesome super clear glass, haven’t gotten to take it to the range yet but impressed so far - also in person this thing is way smaller then in the pictures when I unboxed at lgs I was shocked.

Lgs dealer: “you got a 2 story apartment on that thing” Me: “hell yea”

Why does the 19x feel different shooting?

Hello Glock enthusiasts. I’m a CZ dude that’s steered clear of Glocks because I didn’t like the polymer feel and the squishy trigger.

So why do I love shooting my buddy’s 19x so much that I’m buying my own? It shoots sooooo good.

After putting 20,000 rounds through M9’s and CZ’s, I never thought I’d buy a Glock but here I am.

Why are used Glock 17's selling for so much on Gunbroker?

I've accumulated more Glocks than I need over the years, so I checked completed listings for Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS models to get an idea of pricing. Most seem to be selling in the $550–$700 range, which is what I expected. However, I also saw a few that recently sold for $1,700+!

Looking at the pictures, I can't see any obvious differences in wear or finish. They all have front serrations and no grip cutout. I know the G17 Gen 5 MOS has been discontinued—could that be driving the higher prices?

TL;DR: What's the current market value for a lightly used Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS?

You ever bid on something hoping you’d lose?

Well, I put a bid on this monstrosity expecting to lose. 30 minutes later and I get the notification I won. I guess it’s off to the shop to get re cerakoted. Or I leave it as is to piss off the old guys at the range. Either way, a 17.5 mos is cool. Picked it up for $357. 🤷‍♂️💜

Upgraded irons vs red dot?

I picked up a G29.5 as my first handgun. Definitely been a learning experience. I’ve learned 10mm can make your wrists sore after a day at the range. I’m also learning how to get comfortable gripping the gun, as I have larger hands. I’ve messed around with x grip for g20 mags, and pierce grips for g29 mags. I now feel comfortable with my grip with all 3 mag configurations, stock g29 mag, pierce grips on g29 mag, and x grip on g20. I’ve learned to effectively manage the recoil, recently just learned my left hand should actually be doing a lot more gripping than it was! Was basically shooting one handed the first few range days I had.

Rambling over, one thing I do not like at all is the stock iron sights. I kinda hate them. I have trouble being precise past 15 yards. I know virtually all self defense will happen within 15 yards, but I want to be better past that range. My eyes have a horrible time trying to not see double with these sights, while also trying to determine if the front dot is level.

I’ve researched this question on this subreddit, and a lot of people say you need to get a red dot, it will change your life you’ll never look back. Other people say they’re less reliable, battery could be dead, glass could shatter, lens could be covered in mud, whatever. I’ve also seen a lot of people who try out night sights and love them. I was looking at trijicon hd xr, they seem to be made exactly for what I’m looking for, longer range easier to see iron sights.

Wondering what your guys recommendations are? Should I just bite the bullet and machine my g29 slide and attach a red dot? Or should I just get better irons? Or should I just practice more. I carry for self defense, often travel between the mountains and in the city which is why I got a g29.5

RMR Type 2 or Acro P2

I currently have a Delta Point on my 45 MOS but I really don't like the height on it. Im looking to change the red dot but can't decide if I want the RMR or Acro. I like the durability of the RMR and crispness of the dot but not a fan of the window size or the blue tint or distortion. I like the idea of the enclosed emitter for the Acro and the window size. I havent heard good things about the durability on the Acro and I am rough with my guns but I'm not sure if their is any truth to the complaints. What do you guys suggest?
