Anybody using the Winchester Deer Season rounds for deer yet? The ones with the oversized polymer tips on them? I'm about to try them out in Wisconsin, where I hunt all the shots are basically less than 150yds. Any good hits or misses with them?
Saw this on bass pros used gun page and I can’t stop looking at it. Someone buy it so I don’t.
Sorry for the silly question 😞 but I'm trying to figure out if I can shoot. 224 out of my 6.8. I keep seeing different things online
Has anyone had any great experiences with a suppressor and if so, what brand??
Man....prices went up on Druid Hill's website!! Wonder if it has to do with the election
So these are the Spc ii rounds I've been ordering. I also buy regular Spc rounds from local gun shops. Haven't been able to tell the difference. I've tried shooting through 1/4 steel but no luck. I cam pierce that with my .556
What's everyone's "go to" rounds?? I found a website that custom makes 6.8 spc ii rounds but don't know how to compared them
I took my 6.8 out hog hunting last night and was super impressed. I took two small hogs and one ran about 20 yards, the other was dead before it hit the ground. The exit wounds were significant, on the second hog borderline alarming. The guides I was with were like WTF are you shooting? I showed them my rifle and they loved it. I usually use an AR-10 in .308, which I love, but the lightweight and low recoil on the 6.8 is hard not to love.
Needless to say, my 6.8 just became my new favorite hunting rifle.
Anyone have this barrel? Looking at it for a MN shotgun zone deer pistol which should barely be under the 26” OAL rule.
Hello all! So I'm messing around with the idea of doing a 13.7" build with a 6.8 SPC barrel. I have an 18" SPR build that I have rung 1000 yard steel a few times with. And I have a couple friends with 16" inch guns that do 800-900 yards regularly. So I thought about a 13.7 for a nicer handy sized gun that can reach out and touch at long range easily.
What are y'all's thoughts

Looking to build up a 6.8 bolt gun. I have the various Rem 700 short action parts I've collected over the years. Need a Rem 700 6.8 specific bolt.
Any leads?
Does anybody have a part number for the proper McMaster Carr alignment rod for 6.8?
I’m new to the sub and I’m trying to get some opinions. I’m looking to buy my first 6.8spc in a lwrc format and I can’t make my mind up on either the 14.7” or the 12.7” barrel. What are your recommendations and do you notice a difference in between these two? I plan on using mine for hunting and personal defense/ training. I wasn’t wanting a 16” and the market is pretty scarce right now with the sbr’s, but if I do go 16” I figure I might as well get the razorback. Please help me make my mind up, and thank you in advance
First original MK12 Mod 0 6.8 SPC upper as shared by the man, the myth, the legend, Steve Holland.
Been looking at a 6.8 and I'm a little confused. If I buy a 6.8spc upper, will that fit my existing milspec AR15 lower?
And if so, are there magazines that hold 20+ rounds that fit in a standard milspec lower?
Or do I need to buy a dedicated 6.8spc rifle? What about the Robinson Arms XCR? Does it take standard STANAG-sized mags (I've read 5.56 mags don't handle 6.8 well)
Let me know if interested
Just to follow up from my post below; I finally had a chance to test and compare all 3 types of ammo I have for my 6.8 SPC upper. Distance 100 yards, and disregard the worst hit on each group (that was probably me). The Fusion seems best, but I would not hesitate to go hunting with either ammo. Each barrel is probably different, so your results will probably be different than mine.
I eventually want a can for my 6.8spc that I don't plan on moving to my other guns. Is there a large enough difference to go caliber specific or is the SiCo Omega 300 more superior?
I'm looking to build up a 20" 6.8 SPC II, whos currently doing good work on barrels? I'm happy to spend more for optimal execution.
What kind of groupings are y’all getting out of your 12.5” Barrels? I have s&b FMJ, hornady 110 vmax, and 120 SST factory loads. So far I’ve only broken in/tuned the gas. Shot a few ‘groups’, which were pretty scattered @ 100, but I was tweaking along the way. I’m hoping the next trip out will yield respectable groups.
