Ruger American bolt takes a lot of force to close-is this normal?

I recently picked up a used Ruger American in .300 Blackout, and l've noticed that the bolt takes significantly more effort to close compared to other bolt guns l've owned. As you can see in the video, when I run the bolt at a normal speed, I have to apply a lot of downward pressure to get it to close. I know it doesn't seem like a lot but I'm pushing on it pretty good. However, if I run it hard, it works "fine" (for lack of a better term). For reference, l've owned several other bolt actions ir. past, and none required this much force. Is this just the nature of the Ruger American action, or does this seem off? Before anyone asks-yes, I followed proper safety procedures. Firearm was on safe, pointed in a safe direction, and my finger was off the trigger. So please, let's skip the lectures about using live ammo. Would love to hear if anyone else has experienced this. Any input is appreciated!

RXM and GTL 2

Got the GTL 2… didn’t fit snug on the rail of my RXM.

Don’t know why, it seems to fit fine on all my Glocks.

Ruger P345 safety/Decocker

I picked up a Ruger p345 about a year ago and everything is running great. But is it normal for the right-side de-cocker to be loose? What I mean is that it rattles in and out so very slightly. I hope I'm making sense. But the pistol shoots fine no problem. The left side is firm in place and doesnt rattle at all. And I mean left to right rattle, not up and down. Again I hope im making sense. Thanks to anyone who can help ease my mind.

MDT LSS XL gen2 chassis fits Ruger American Gen 2?

Hi,

Has anyone tried to put MDT Lss XL gen2 chassis on Ruger American Predator Gen 2?

I plan to buy one, but I heard there might need some minor adjustment. Anyone could share their experience?

Ruger American Gen 2 predator aftermarket stock/chassis recommendations

Looking to add some new stocks to my gen 2 .308 predator, if anyone can submit a pic of your gun and the stocks you have on it that would be great! I would love to see what you guys are all running on your guns.

RXM PDW chassis, could it have a safety?

So obviously I'm stoked about the idea and hope it comes to fruition. One thing I wonder about though is if it is possible to have a safety as this is pretty crucial for a slung weapon. I wonder if there is room to fit a Flux Raider 320 style safety in there, it looks like it would be a tight squeeze between the trigger shoe mag body and mag release (although it doesn't seem much different on room constraints from the Flux). Would they possibly have to release a new FCI with a built in safety towards the back that blocks the seer? Only other way I could see to do this would be a slide mounted safety that physically blocks the striker (probably have to keep it from going back trapping it against the safety plunger)
