I can describe the cover. It’s like a reddy/orange background, and in the center is a guy in a suit with a sandworm head with the tongue out. I think. Help 😂
just saw that one of my favourite bands (girlfriends) are cooking album 3 rn! what’s everyone think of them here?
I was curious what everyone’s favorite driveways album and songs are. For me into the past is my favorite release. As for songs burning bright or resurrect can’t decide.
Acadence, from Jacksonville, Florida, were made up of former members of The Sophomore Attempt and released an EP called "The Safest Place to Be" in 2010. They weren't the metal band that pops up whenever you search the name, haha.
Here is an old live video of one of their performances, it's the only music of theirs I can still find.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBEMDNY6BQc
If anyone still has their music I would love to be able to hear it again.
Think Enema era Blink-182, Sticks and Stones Newfound Glory, early Simple Plan, All Killer No Filler Sum 41, etc.
Hey y'all. I need y'all to trust that I'm asking this in good faith. With the recent stories about Jesse Lacey returning to play a few shows, the discourse about the allegations against him is revving up again. It made me wonder what about the allegations against him made people respond the way the did, vs other bands/people with similar allegations? I completely understand the reaction against him, just not why that energy isn't maintained for other people with similar allegations. Some are forgiven and forgotten, often times after completing not addressing the allegations - why?
I have my own office and I would like to have some items in it that represent the things I like. I see a lot of people do this with sports but what are some ways you’ve used pop punk memorabilia or something else to decorate. It’s a professional office so I can’t necessarily use the flags.
I’m trying to get my friend a birthday message for him on the 17th of this month, he loves pop punk and stuff like that. Who is good?
Hey guys I am an AP Research Student and I have a survey to find out which guitar tuning is preferred among rock music listeners. All data will stay anonymous and will be solely used for research purposes. Participation is optional and it should only take up to 5 minutes of your time. Thank you so much!
On and off for the past 20 years I've had this line pop into my head but google searches for the lyric had never come up with anything.
I always thought it was The Starting Line, but I haven't found the song again.
Lyric is "I never could keep inside the lines".
Early to mid 00s is my guess.
I posted on TOMT but I'm getting a lot of suggestions that aren't British, Punk or from that time period so hoping I might have more success here.
I've got just one line stuck in my head on repeat and its driving me nuts.
I remember listening to this song on the radio quite frequently sometime during 2000-2010 (edit: narrowed it down to between 2004-2007). It has a male vocalist (I think somewhere in their 20s) and I'm pretty sure it's a British band. The genre was sort of pop/rock/punk, initially listened through a bunch of songs from Busted and McFly since they would have been popular at the time and couldn't find it but on second thought I think it might have been just one vocalist. I'm thinking along the lines of Avril Lavigne, if she was male and British.
The closest sound I've gotten is My Hotel Year - The Strongest Man Alive, but it's definitely not the right song.
The only line (or sound) I remember is "I'm on my way" repeated twice with the second "way" more drawn out before the instruments kick in heavier. Either in the pre-chorus or chorus of the song. I'm not even entirely sure of the lyrics, so it could be two different but similar sounding phrases. (Edit: I've got phrases like "I won't cry out out" and "I won't back down" also popping up in my head to the same melody)
I know it's a long shot but thanks anyway!
Edit: I've now listened to the entirety of 2000s Pop Punk Hits on Spotify and whilst there are lots of great songs, none of them are right.
I've also listened through the most popular songs of the following bands (even though they aren't British just in case I've gotten that wrong) and had no luck:
My Chemical Romance
blink-182
Green Day
Fall Out Boy
All Time Low
The All-American Rejects
Simple Plan
Boys Like Girls
I've tried humming the section and singing a mixture of phrases in various song finder sites but nothing is coming up.
I've now also listened to all the songs on the UK charts in 2006

Not technically pop punk, but pretty damn close. The more people discover, or rediscover the band the better.
There are very few songs that have really hit me like this one. I feel like it gets better every time I listen it. The first time I heard it was in 2018 as a junior in high school. What do y’all think of it? KP forever <3
ATM, I'm listening to Knuckle Pucks "While I Stay Secluded" and I wanna hear some new recommendations. Hit me with some bands you think I might fuck with and haven't heard of, por favor. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Up The Pop Punx
Was anybody else lucky to get tickets?
It was incredibly packed going back into the bar, it was a thousand degrees, Soupy even said he was gonna pass out or throw up at one point. But FUCK that was one of the greatest shows I've ever been too. Just incredible from start to finish and this is probably the tenth time I've seen them since 2009.
Everyone was outside afterwards drenched in sweat, I was just standing on the little balcony bit and I was soaked.
My old disabled bones are paying for it today but it was so worth it.
The only close example i can think of is And Then There Were None going from metal to emo electropop
Yesterday I listed all of the winners of the best pop-punk songs from each year from 2000-2024. I also think it's important to note that I changed the 2024 Winner from We Need More Bricks to Dumbstruck, as More Bricks was first released in 2023 as a single before the 2024 album came out. And Heartbreak Of The Century was voted in the 2023 post, so if that counts as 2023, then More Bricks should be 2023 too.
This isn’t a troll post I’m just trying to remember the name and that’s what came up in my head but it may have been something like Sharpie Cock or something I apologize for the weird guesses I’m just trying to figure out the actual name and weird phrases come up because there are bands now with weird names
