hi, everyone!
bri, matt, and joey from cliffdiver here. we’re a band from tulsa, oklahoma and just released our second album “birdwatching” this fall
we have a headlining tour starting on the 29th with the casper fight scene and leisure hour. AND we have a hometown album release show later this year with the tokyo smash, sincere engineer, and sunfo!
we’ll be answering as many questions as we can about the album, tour, whatever! ask us anything!

That high note at the end always gives me chills...especially after such an emotional build up in the second half of the song. This EP never disappoints.
i just bought tickets to origami angel and arms length for boston. origami angel is cool but im mainly there for arm's length. i bought the tickets a few minutes ago and then i just realized that when i searched "arms length tour" it showed me a bunch of dates and not boston. when i searched "origami angel tour" all the same dates came up, including boston. I dont see anything on either of the posters for the tour or arms lengths twitter about them not playing the whole tour. ticketmaster only listed origami angel but they didnt list any of the other bands for any of the other shows. now im nervous. does anybody know if arms length is or is not playing boston and/or the entire tour with origami angel?
Do you remember TAI TV? I used to watch it all the time. It made me feel like I got all the scoop and they made me laugh. It looks like Action/Adventure did a tour vlog too! So excited to follow their band life. This one had me cracking up.
Lemme know if you need the rules. Btw blink is no longer allowed cause the 2 per artist Cao.
A. All the Small Things- Blink 182 B. The Best of Me - The Starting Line C. Came Out Swinging - The Wonder Years D. Dammit - Blink 182 (runner up was Dear Maria Count Me In - All Time Low
Heard these guys between sets at a concert I attended earlier this week, it was a blast.
Hey guys so my band, Terribly Happy, just put a new record out last Friday and we’d love for y’all to check it out! Most of its more sad/midwest emo vibes but a few tracks are very pop punk I’d say. Let us know what you think if you do, just don’t be too mean, we will cry.
Also, for anyone around central Illinois, we have a release show in Peoria on the 22nd with Bottom Bracket, Mt. Oriander, Heaving, and Slow Emotion! Hit us up if you want more deets!
Recently found the album peripheral vision by Turnover and it’s amazing but it’s the only album I like from them. Are there any other bands that are similar in that way ?
As the title says. We’re Almost OK but we’re hoping our music is a little more than that. Hope you like what you hear, cause we’re just getting started!

And everywhere else
First time seeing both State Champs and Knuckle Puck live. They both put on an excellent performance. I was pleased to see the Anaheim, California crowd really loved all the new songs that State Champs performed off the self-titled record. People were very familiar with the lyrics and there was great energy even though the album literally just dropped. Ryan Scott Graham, who plays bass, is a talented singer himself and was a great complement to Derek. They sounded so clean live, I really enjoyed the show.
Knuckle Puck exceeded my expectations. The energy they bring is next level. Joe Taylor is an awesome front man. They have a great cohesion and stage presence. They should be getting radio play all over, especially in Southern California. Huge missed opportunity by KROQ, who still wants to play Brain Stew every 3 hours.
Even though the industry doesn't want to invest in these bands, I've gotten to see a lot of this current eras best bands live this year and they've all delivered. Neck Deep, The Story So Far, Bearings, Between You & Me, Grayscale, etc.
Can you still go into HMV to buy on release or is that dead now? Don't want to buy it from Amazon 🖕
Came across this band yesterday, and their album To My Chagrine is refreshing.
My limited musical palette makes it hard to describe, but it's something in the vein of emo/ pop punk, like a mix of Teenage Bottlerocket and the Weakerthans.
Searched reddit for posts about the band, but didn't find a whole lot.
I'm taking my daughter to see Four Year Strong in a few weeks in an incredibly loud venue. I lost partial hearing in one ear last year in this venue and I don't want to make my tinnitus worse. I got some concert ear plugs that are supposed to block out 23dB of sound, but I wore them to the bar last night and I don't think they're going to cut it.
What do you use to protect your hearing at shows?
EDIT: This is easier than individual responses. Thanks to everyone who responded. It looks like all of the Loops/Eargasm ear plugs filter out about the same 20-26dB of sound so I don't think just buying another brand will help. I have over-ear protection that I'm going to bring for my daughter, and I'm going to try out some moldable silicone plugs for myself before the show. I have some foam plugs if necessary, but I used them at the show where I lost my hearing and they made the music super muddy (so I took them out and just took the full force of Bad Religion straight to the ear drums).
Is anyone else feeling like the current YMAS setlist is a bit underwhelming? For a final tour, it doesn't really seem to hit the mark for me.

I personally love a female vocalist , not all can front a band . This girl kills it along with Adam
Stealing this prompt from the rap sub, where someone asked who their favorite rockers are - which rappers do y'all pop punkers like best?
My all timers are kinda boring and predictable - Kendrick, Eminem, Wayne, etc. Lately tho, I've been fw Schoolboy Q, Ski Mask, Jack Harlow, Tee Grizzley.
