r/Yellowcard is a subreddit devoted to the musical genius behind the Florida-originated band, Yellowcard. Yellowcard is a pop-punk band that resides in Los Angeles and has gained several million fans worldwide.
Yellowcard was an American pop-punk band from Jacksonville, Florida. Their music featured prominent use of a violin, which distinguished them from their peers in the genre. The band formed in 1997 and experienced many lineup changes between their formation and eventual breakup in 2017.
Most recently the band consisted of Ryan Key (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Sean Mackin (violin, backing vocals), Ryan Mendez (lead guitar), and Josh Portman (bass). Popular singles of the group include “Only One”, “Lights and Sounds”, and, perhaps their best-known track, “Ocean Avenue”, which received multi-platinum certification on June 28, 2013.
The band released ten studio albums, three EPs, and acoustic versions of two of their studio albums. Their final record, titled simply “Yellowcard”, was released on September 30, 2016. On June 25, 2016, they announced on their website that they would be breaking up after one final world tour.
Yellowcard played their final show to a sold-out crowd on March 25, 2017 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, closing out the set with “Ocean Avenue”.

Have a spare ticket for the gig tonight if anyone is interested, 30e
I’m familiar with their singles but a friend of mine has persuaded me to dive further into Yellowcard’s discography. I freaking LOVE the violin and was wondering if you folks have suggestions for their songs that are heavy on the violin! Please let me know which ones to check out!
Per the official venue website: https://www.bataclan.fr/en/event/yellowcard_2024-11-22_en
This was during Only One
Brilliant show, even got to hear some new music the band teased will be dropping next year!
I have an extra ticket since a friend bail on me last minute so if you need a ticket or are also going solo
Let me know!
Person who I was supposed to be going with dropped out so riding solo. Ticketmaster won't let me transfer. If someone can meet me nearby brixton academy at 8pm I'd be happy to scan them in. DM me!
This is for Brixton gig today, November 17th.
I have 2 x tickets for tonight’s show in Brixton if anyone would like them - sadly not able to make it due to illness. Send me a message if you would like them.
Hello everybody, This Is an appeal to anybody going to the Brixton yellow card gig tonight (17/11/2024). I was hoping somebody could purchase me one of the signed ocean avenue street signs they are selling for me to arrange for you to post to me (at my expense of course)
Backstory- I attended the gig in Cardiff last night and purchased one of Said signs as a house warming gift for my brother who is a huge fan of the band but could not attend. The sign being awkward to carry in and amongst the crown I managed to tuck it into the inside pocket of my battle jacket. During yellowcards set my wife decided to take the sign from me and head tmti stand closer to the exit as the crowd had got to much for her. As I left the gig as soon as she saw me she bolted away in the direction of the toilet. She had left the sign in there and when she got back It was gone. The queue for merch was far to long to wait to buy another. This really upset her that she had lost it so I'm hoping someone on hear can help make her feel better and also allow me to give my bro a cool house warming gift.
If any one can help I would greatly appreciate. Kind regards An unfortunate fan

I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great mixture of songs. The band were faultless and sounded great 😃
The song clip was shared on Jimmy Brunkvist's story last night (touring drummer)
It reminds me of Paper Walls era songs, which is exciting.
No word on release yet & nothing on the YC socials yet either.
20£ each, Hit me up if you’re interested. Gig starts at 19.00
Can someone tell me an estimate of the set timings and the order the bands played? Thank you?
Set list.fm hasn’t even listed the full Yellowcard set list, I doubt they sang three songs 😅
Thank you
Just wondering what time the show ended in Glasgow last night so I can pre-book an Uber. Checked setlist.fm but couldn’t see anything in relation to the current tour. Thanks!
So, I recently tuned into the Caught on the Mike podcast from a few months back where Mike had LP on. It was a really interesting conversation and LP seemed happy, excited and I didn’t know he was in three bands at the moment; Evergreen Terrace, Krash Party and This Legend (he said they are resurfacing again, although I can’t see anything about it online yet).
When asked about Yellowcard, LP said he would return “in a heartbeat” and that he’d be on a plane in the morning to join the boys on tour if they’d just pick up the phone.
This leads me to ask, why don’t they call him? I’ve never been able to find out conclusively why he left and the current band members, AFAIK, have never talked about the reasons. LPIII was one of three main reasons I got into Yellowcard as a 13 year old in 2005, along with Seán’s violins and Ryan’s vocals. The current touring drummer is great, but he’s no LP. LP’s chops are undeniable. I feel I could recognise his drums anywhere on any song.
I’m seeing them on Sunday in London and I’m sooooo excited. I never thought I would see them again after Cologne in 2016 so I’m over the moon. However, a small part of me, will cast an eye behind Ryan to the drum kit and wonder how ‘complete’ Yellowcard would feel to me if it was LP back with the other 4 current permanent members.
Anyone else feel this way? I’d really recommend the LPIII interview, by the way.
