r/Yellowcard is a subreddit devoted to the musical genius behind the Florida-originated band, Yellowcard. Yellowcard is a pop-punk band that resides in Los Angeles and has gained several million fans worldwide.
Yellowcard was an American pop-punk band from Jacksonville, Florida. Their music featured prominent use of a violin, which distinguished them from their peers in the genre. The band formed in 1997 and experienced many lineup changes between their formation and eventual breakup in 2017.
Most recently the band consisted of Ryan Key (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Sean Mackin (violin, backing vocals), Ryan Mendez (lead guitar), and Josh Portman (bass). Popular singles of the group include “Only One”, “Lights and Sounds”, and, perhaps their best-known track, “Ocean Avenue”, which received multi-platinum certification on June 28, 2013.
The band released ten studio albums, three EPs, and acoustic versions of two of their studio albums. Their final record, titled simply “Yellowcard”, was released on September 30, 2016. On June 25, 2016, they announced on their website that they would be breaking up after one final world tour.
Yellowcard played their final show to a sold-out crowd on March 25, 2017 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, closing out the set with “Ocean Avenue”.

Can no longer attend the gig and am selling 1 General Admission ticket. Can't put the ticket for resale through Ticketmaster so I can only sell via money transfer, then transferring the ticket via email, asking for £50. Anyone interested please get in touch via DMs.
Thanks.
Selling two (2) General Admission tickets for the Saturday, November 16th (low tickets) show in Cardiff. I thought I was going to be able to make it, but we had a couple other things come up and can't make it now.
Apparently fan-to-fan resale isn't allowable through Ticketmaster, so trying here instead! Selling for what I paid (87 GBP, 104 Euro, or $112 USD).
The Apartment isn’t so empty anymore lol.
Today I made a discography playlist for yellowcard.
It is missing their first album 'Midget Tossing' but has all the other studio albums + other songs.
Maybe someone can take a quick look and let me know if I've missed something.
Recently got really into this band having 'Ocean Avenue' and the 2004 Live DVD 'Beyond Ocean Avenue' on repeat at the moment.
But maybe some true fans can tell me if I need to add anything
Thanks for reading :)

Hello, I’m looking for a ticket for their Paris show this November. Please if any of you has an extra ticket I’d be more than happy to buy it! Thank you!!
I know Ryan Key is listed as an extra during the party. Does anybody know what time frame I should be looking for him? I watched the movie before but I never saw him.
https://youtu.be/uHvgie1YdGA?si=HyybUYLkvB6-VyaH nobody knows who made this song, and I thought it sounded extremely similar to yellowcard. I have asked Ryan key about this song with no response at the moment. Don't flood them with messages. If you guys could help search for this song we would appreciate it! Search hub is at r/justwhatiwant
My VIP soundcheck upgrade got cancelled today (I’m going to the concert in Netherlands), is this for real? Was looking forward to seeing YC close up :( Is the more expensive VIP upgrade cancelled as well?
I believe the song was either Way away or Breathing. It had grandpas and grandmas with apiky hair in the crowd, one of them lifted their stroller in the air. And elderly gentleman Sean did a backflip.
Can't find it anywhere, and it feels like a fever dream but I am 100 percent sure it's real and any help finding it would be very much appreciated
Edit: Someone found it! Here it is for your viewing pleasure
Hey all -
Looking for anyone selling a 2023 tour gray tracklist shirt in large. Mine got ruined and I'm heartbroken. They no longer sell it on their site and I can't seem to find one online anywhere. I bought an XL when I could but it's huge on me.
I know it's a long shot but I'm willing to trade mine if someone bought the wrong size or something.
🤘🏼❤️
Other than his solos, Mackin's violin playing is often overpowered by the rest of the song.
The violin is beautiful on Way Away, Five Becomes Four, and Sleep in the Snow (just to name a few), but I often have to actively listen for it, instead of just hearing it.
In my (maybe bias) opinion, one of the better songs on the album. They killed it.
Hi all, I was going to make a weekend of seeing Yellowcard on Saturday in Cardiff then Sunday in London.
Now I have too much stuff going on, including Jimmy Eat World on the Friday, to justify this trip.
So my ticket for Cardiff is available here

The show sold out fast as it's the smallest venue on the tour, and it's a Saturday night.
Nice set!
Enjoy!
I was at my local grocery store today and heard “Hang You Up” playing over the speakers! I was blown away. If I ever hear a Yellowcard song out and about it’s pretty much always Ocean Avenue. What other less famous Yellowcard songs have y’all heard out in the wild?
Anybody who ever played this game know the soundtrack has had some bangers and some duds, the newest season has added “ocean avenue” to the track list. Pretty exciting to load into the main menu and hear it playing
Have they ever sold signed CDs on their website? My ten year old discovered YC listening to my music in the car and became obsessed. As a warped tour kid I have lots of signed things from bands like NFG, MxPx, etc that I have displayed but sadly never got YC. Looking to see if I can get him a signed CD so he has something of his own on the wall.
Worst crowd I have ever seen in my life bar non…
The video is 23 but Ocean Ave was somehow no better, my gasts are flabbered… Vanessa Carlton played a free show in the park here and the crowd for he playing 1000 miles went harder than these WI hicks for Ocean Ave…
if you had to get a yellowcard lyric tattooed on you, what would it be?
I'm thinking of doing shadows and regrets.
Hey so i'm not sure if its in the official Mythos or anything. I just came across this and my brain went Kaboom! Anyone noticed that the opening sample from Illuminate is actually the first second of Dreamscape - 009 Sound System? It was one of those early Youtube AudioSwap tracks that so many videos had back in the day.
I can't believe I never noticed that after all these years.
Has this ever been asked about?
