Hey Reddit,
I’m in the process of starting a music reviews site and I’m looking for contributors. My vision is for reviews written by regular people, rather than by known or established music critics. I might contribute my own reviews now and then, but am intending to act mainly as editor and curator.
Happy with any genre and also open to long form pieces or even interviews if you manage to get some time with an artist and pose thoughtful questions to them. For reviews, I’d like to stick to around 500 words, but long form can be whatever. Reviews of newly released material will take priority, but older albums are also welcome.
Hoping for insightful content. Doesn’t have to be positive, but I won’t publish anything offensive.
Looking for people who are music fans who enjoy the creative outlet of writing or aspiring writers wanting a forum to publish their work. No money involved. This is just for the love of music and a desire to contribute to the enormous community of music lovers. Should the site ever generate enough interest that it earns money, I’d be very enthusiastic about paying for contributions!
If you’re interested, please DM me so that we can connect and chat further.
I tried posting to r/alternativemetal but the sub seems inactive and won’t let me post. I feel like the only person that remembers this band.
