Will sell for $100.

Just looking to make a little back so I don’t lose everything, I’m under contract to work that night so I can’t go, dm with offers and I’ll let you know
This song has always been one of their most beautiful, it's a shame I rarely hear anyone talk about. Ever since I learned the vocals were recorded on the roof of Eric Valentine's studio, I get a different experience every time I revisit the song. New American Classic may be Fred's acoustic masterpiece but Divine Intervention, which Adam wrote, is right up there with it for me.
I truly miss the new again era so I feel like sharing this clip i took of them playing everything must go at the ‘22 starland holiday show.
152FOREVER
Yes say yes say yes say yes
Check us out on streaming platforms btw😲
That's it. That's just the title. Stream Carpathia. Fun to sing actually lol.
Hey guys,
While I love the songs on 152 I always felt like the track order was weird and didn’t flow as well as it should as a cohesive listening experience. I rearranged the songs in a Spotify playlist to what I think flows much better in a full album listen. The album starts with a bang then opens up to their new sounds and sonic influences then ends with the big acoustics and sing along repeated phrases that a classic TBS album typically ends with. Obviously this is just my opinion so check it out and tell me what you think!
So I’m drunk and have a flight to Hawaii at 8am tomorrow and am listening to Abendigo (the 2018 John Nolan Solo album). My god is that a fantastic record. Same goes for Sad Strange Beautiful Dream (his other solo record). Also love 152 and it’s my second favorite TBS record after TAYF.
Anyone else think John is the man? Both Straylight albums are timeless and so is the EP as well.
I get this probably wasn’t written to well, I got super drunk so I can fall asleep early tonight at the airport hotel
In a small interview with KROQ, Adam let slip there's gonna be an LA show "really soon" that he's hyped about. What do you think it'll possibly be? Is it for another festival, or another shows for the poors who couldn't go to Coachella? Either way, y'all are lucky. (Makes sense though considering California is TBS's most-streamed state, for whatever reason.)
Everyone in agreement this week was way better?
I discovered this subreddit and thought I would ask this question which I have tried searching rabbit holes on the internet to no avail. When I was a teenager, I had download the TBS discography on like limewire or BitTorrent or something like that listened to it throughout adolescence on like an iPod. I remember distinctly a version of a song I cannot locate anywhere on the internet now, and of course I don’t have access to my old mp3 players or laptops it would have been downloaded on. It was what I can’t explain any better than an “alternate” version of Carpathia. It was not simply an acoustic version that you can find online or if they were to for example play it on acoustic guitar. It was an alternate, more mellow, dreamy, and imho better version of the song. And the part that goes “man, that was ages ago” repeated in a beautifully soft and reminiscent lullaby-like bridge. But it wasn’t the original hard rock or acoustic version. It was a soft alternate version and I feel like it’s been erased from the internet. It penetrates deep in my memory but it’s nowhere to be found. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
Hi there. I'm not really as frequent on social media as I used to be. I missed when TBS was trending on Twitter this week because of the Coachella set but I did end up looking at some of the tweets about an hour after it happened and it was all mean stuff, of course. Apparently, the clip from "MakeDamnSure" has gone viral? Viral nowadays though, that takes a lot. I'm assuming it has gone viral in smaller circles then? Cuz if it really went viral than I would've seen it, but I haven't seen it (but yet again like I said I don't really browse social media, especially TikTok and its equivalents).
Imagine Fred coming on tour with Taking Back Sunday again allowing John & Shawn to do some Straylight songs prior to a TBS show with John & Fred rotating in/out on songs they worked on.
I think the last time they played it at a live show was 2022 but Adam's vocals in that song are very high register and challenging and I'm not convinced he's capable of hitting those notes now and John has never looked comfortable singing or playing that song whenever I've seen him perform it (the last time I heard them play it live Adam was singing most of Fred's parts and John was only singing at the chorus). It's just one of those songs that the current lineup just isn't really built to do justice to in live shows anymore.
Sorry y’all, I swear I’m not hating, I have loved TBS since 2006, saw em in 07 I think with Angels and Airwaves. They were okay to my 12 year old ears.
I am sure everyone has seen their Coachella set going viral and how awful Adam sounds (I know I know, we’re here for vibes). But how does he sound so good on the recordings? I know this isn’t the only band with this “issue” just the most recent/clear cut example but I am just curious for any sound/behind the scenes/tech savvy musicians that can share with me the potential workings that have assisted over the years?
I make music and am looking to record my first album with vocals (that isn’t spoken word) and am planning on learning/doing as much solo as I can so I am just very curious on the technical aspect.
Thanks in advance!
On TikTok my page frequently features the clip of Adam singing off key at Coachella. Even the Coachella official account posted it. It’s embarrassing like introducing people to your quirky uncle for the first time and having to apologize even though you love him.
Anyone going tonight? Debating to go or not. Have 2 tickets but my friend decided to drop out.
just came in here to say last night was f*cking awesome!!! the energy was 🤌🏼 best time ever 🥰
