Anyone have any tips on like screech/whistle register screams? I’ve been trying to do them but I’m mostly confused how to incorporate breath distortion on them.

the instrumentals themselves make the song such an insane masterpiece, and the audiotree and live versions are nice but a mixed, mastered single (without the megaphone vocals) like they did with keep those bristles clean and closed would fulfill all of my dreams.

Lately I've been really into the Callous Daoboys and seeyouspacecowboy, and I would love some recommendations on some screamo that's heavy on mathcore influence and way too many panic chords lol

How can I get better? I'm a beginner and I mostly play screamo, skarmz, midwest emo. I can play some song around that genre, but I want to get better where I can create my own stuff. What sort of stuff should I learn? By "stuff" I mean what scales, tuning etc. Like what should I learn first? I'm reaaly stuck and I don't think I'm getting better.

Yo! I'm a 23 year old neurodivergent, nonbinary (amab) person who said "to hell with it" and booked a flight to see Orchid. I'm really cutting it close, but Orchid is one of the bands I thought I would never see, so I can't miss out on it. Problem is, I don't have any friends in the area, and while I have asked around, I am still looking for a place to stay for the week.

I'm quite shy and quiet, and I have OCD, so cleanliness is important to me (which is to say, I won't be a bad guest). I'm also super laidback and chill, and will buy you food if I can! I'd really appreciate someone reaching out and helping a stupid stranger out. ❤
