Anyone know of any examples of melodic beatdown or beatdown with heavy melodic sections in songs?

In light of the new Killswitch album announcement I thought I’d share my favorite music bio/documentary. Their story told through pretty much everyone in the metalcore scene of the time. It’s a great watch if you like the band or are into these band docs in general.
(Couldn’t post in r/metalcore due to a bot false flag so figured I’d post here)
just got recommended this sub and am a huge fan of this band :3 thought I could contribute :D hope yall enjoy!!
Check out the video for the new fair dos single!!

Hi, my name is Alex, and I’m the lead singer and guitarist of Midnight Mile. Our band, consisting of myself and our bassist Val, is currently seeking a new drummer following the departure of our previous drummer, Damien, who left to pursue other musical projects. We’re looking for a talented and dedicated drummer who aligns with our sound and vision. Here’s what we’re looking for: • Someone passionate about pop-punk, melodic hardcore, hardcore punk, and metalcore. • A technical player with solid skills—not flashy but precise and effective. • Able to quickly learn original songs and covers, ideally within 2-3 days. • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to balance band commitments alongside work or personal responsibilities. • Willing to contribute their share of rehearsal costs for rented studio spaces (though we’re exploring free practice spaces as well). • Between the ages of 18 and 21. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Please DM us on Instagram at @midnightmile.nyc and include a video of your playing. We encourage you to showcase your skills by playing along to a song from bands like Rise Against, Knuckle Puck, Title Fight, Four Year Strong, or The Story So Far. We can’t wait to find the right person to join us and keep the energy alive in Midnight Mile!
Just getting a feel of what other people use. What picks and strings do you use and what tuning do usually play in?
This band rules !
New album out now
