tl;dr guitarist looking for a drummer. If you like music and want to jam or know a drummer, pm me!

I play the guitars and try to make good sounding sounds with it. I'm looking for a drummer who, with our powers combined, can make even gooder sounding sounds than we could on our own (I promise not to talk like this in person).

About me

• 30m, played guitar + bass for yonks
• Has shed that's set up ready to jam & record, complete with friends that can record professionally (sometimes I let them out for air)
• Songs and ideas ready to go (some are ok!)
• I have a flexible schedule, dependable
• Just want to make music and have a rad time.
• knows heaps of music friends but no drummers who aren't already in bands!

Genre

I like a pretty wide variety of music! I'd like to just jam and see what sounds good. I do like playing a variety of music and get bored doing the same thing over and over.

A few well known bands that I've been loving lately are;
King Gizzard and The Wizard Lizard, Andy Shauf, Wilco, Oh Sees, Nils Frahm, Radiohead.

Currently I've set up my board to run my guitar into two amps (one guitar, one bass amp with an octave down) with a split pickup thing. Might be cool to play as a duo, might sound better if more people are added - whatever works!

In an ideal world you are

Good at playing drums - you don't have to be a shredder. In a way that you want to complement the music in a unique and creative way (Meg White is one of the best drummers of all time and I will die on this hill).

Keen and excited about making music. To experiment and learn, try new things. Do cool shit. Have lots of fun.

Likes to have input in writing the music. The best music has fantastic drums. I think it's important to write music to / with / along side drums.

Have an ear for listening to others when playing. Understand dynamics in a song.

Hey what’s up :) i call myself Vouzme (Vozz-mii) and i want to form a punk band and make music and play local shows ASAP! Not hardcore punk with all the yelling like most of the tough-guy underground L.A. bands, but something more melodic and with more singing. I play guitar and sing. I also have a bass. I would only like this to be irl, so we can play shows and do other band antics. At the very least i just need someone to play drums, even if you don’t know how. We can learn as we go :) But another guitarist, bassist or another singer would be great too. I am not professional at all and dont really care about all that stuff. DIY ftw! We're a pretty new hardcore band in southern MD looking for a bassist after ours had to leave for personal reasons. We have 3 tracks mostly written, and are hoping to have a demo completed pretty soon so we can start gigging. Please have gear you can bring for practice, but doesn't have to be anything crazy

Been playing guitar for 2.5 years now and am looking to start, or join, a band in the Boston area. I’m currently living in Lowell working fulltime during the day. I have a car so if you are in the surrounding area transportation won't be an issue. Would prefer to play with people around the same age and skill but if we can vibe, I'm down to get to know each other! I have no aspirations to make it big, I just want to have fun, play local shows, record stuff and release some music!

I’m into all the "sadboi" poppunk type stuff like The Wonder Years, Turnover the Story So Far, Neck Deep, and my favorite Title Fight. When I say hardcore, I'm talking about bands like Have Heart. Would like to create something along those lines, but I am open to every influence. My taste is very much all over the place.

Sometimes I'll record stuff on Ableton, but I'm pretty new to using that as well!

In general we are looking to start a pop rock soul/alternative type group. Something accessible, singable, and danceable- with groove and maybe some ambience. Not afraid to rock hard at times and fully utilize dynamics.

About the singer: Vocal style: pop/rock/soul 10+ years experience singing, writing and performing in bands and as a solo act. Some influential bands and artists: The Weeknd, Circa Survive, Nothing But Thieves, Tycho, Tom Misch.

About the drummer: Drumming style: pop/punk/post-hardcore/funk ~20 yrs playing. Extensive recording, writing, live experience. Some influential bands and artists: Dredg, glassjaw, AFI, Joseph Arrington (Royal Coda, A Lot Like Birds), Petar Janjic (Cory Wong).

What we are looking for:

Guitarist & bassist with good songwriting experience. Around 8-10 yrs writing, live, recording experience.
