As the title says, anyone able to recommend me Deathcore with cleans like the newer Left to Suffer and newer Born of Osiris? Going through a rough time and for some reason the musics really hurting. Normally I listen to pop punk and Metalcore. Much love and thank you 🙏🙏
Probably should wait till December to ask this but what’s everyone’s favourite deathcore albums of this year ?
It's not exactly deathcore, but it's very deathcore related. For me personally the album is very enjoyable, with many bangers like Deceiver or the title track, but:
That's all from me, and what are your thoughts?
I don’t remember if the name was Health, Opium, or LSD. They had an EP out that was very chaotic and I remember the cover being some blue mushroom looking thing as if you were on a wild LSD trip. I think the EP was also drug related??
Sorry for not much info all I remember is they were a very chaotic mathcore/deathcore band.
Any ideas??
I'm thinking maybe like something from Infant Annihilator, Larecenia Roe, or Black Tongue or some similar bands. Probably something like hyper overstimulating. Whitechapple also has some songs that could work too tho, like A Visceral Retch.
Some of them tell stories, some are fun, some are brutal and disgusting and none are bad... But I just want to hear which and why they're your favorites... These are my top 2
I Will Return...such a great concept and they did such a good job matching the lyrics with the instruments
Receipt... The put a human feel on the mental and emotional subject of suicide
Two totally different songs Two absolute bangers
I'm on my myspace deathcore era (2006-2012) revival, listening to some gems from back in the day - two of my favorites that were local to my region (Northern NJ) were Float Face Down (RIP Ron) and Years Spent Cold. Both bands had solid albums / EP - plenty of regional shows, a national tour or two, and went their ways.
This got me curious about what bands in different parts of America that were big acts in that region but perhaps not known nationally, and especially not around in 2024. Would love to go on a deep dive. Please list bands that put out semi / pro quality recordings.
For those unfamiliar:
Years Spent Cold
AOTY? holy mother of fuck I didn't want it to end. I'm no musician but I loved the guitar and especially the drums on this record, but vocals were gnarly and nasty and so fuckin sick dude like I'm on that high right now from it it was incredible
EDIT: FFAA. I can't edit titles aorry
First of all:
I really appreciate all CJ's previous work I really like Lorna I do not dislike Immortal Disfigurement Something really tells me CJ must be a pain I the ass to work with but I really don't care.
So, today I revisited ALL of CJ's works, finishing with another good and focused listening to KING.
I heard so many people in this sub saying "Lorna sucked before and after CJ, he's a good musician" or "Signs of the swarm is nothing without him, he is definitely part of the music made" and things like this.
KING is a mid album. Guitars and Drums certainly gave their blood to write all of it. Vocals are really good and "Satisfying" to hear. And that's just it.
All of you the claimed CJ is a mastermind musician who paved the way for his previous bands, all of you guys are wrong. He is just a guy doing audacious vocals who happened to be with the right guys back in the years. Just this.
I really tried to hype and expect awesome things after his controversial departure from LS, but come on... The first time I saw his new band would be named using an incredible childish word game, something told me this guy definitely isn't preoccupied with the music. Following the album release, and listening to it, I'm sure he isn't.
I'm not active anymore on reddit but this is literally the only place I talk about Deathcore., so let's chat, not fight.
Also just wanted shout out Tyler from Thy Art, absolutely killed it!
Just like being really hurt and angry tbh
I really appreciate how many of you guys have continued to mention us and keep our name around. Hopefully you enjoy the new music we have coming!
This is my favorite song off our new EP “ Moments Of Misery “ Bringing back OG deathcore with a vengeance 🩸
Gorepig is a 5-piece metal outfit blending early 2000's nu-metal groove with bouncy hooks and punishing deathcore aggression. Fusing a well balanced combination of intense riffs, thunderous breakdowns, and catchy vocals, Gorepig brings a sound that is refreshing, fun and nostalgic.
Here's a new song featuring guitarist Jacob Gordon of Left To Suffer!
Does someone have a document with symbols from these two albums?
Just like this person did for STARSET symbols (Transmissions and Vessels are unofficial symbols, but DIVISIONS and HORIZONS are).
Needing some critiques 🤘
Hello guys I initially thought that Ryan's cleans vocals only showed on just another body but I was wrong also on death atlas anyway that's not me point I think his clean vocals are somemof the best in deathmetal and yea what do you think About this and do you agree (I'm aware it's not deathcore related before all you start to fuss)
