Punk isn't traditionally what we consider "good" or "pleasant" music but it still has a giant fanbase, myself included so I just had some questions to ask fans.

What is the appeal to you? How does it make you feel?

Have any of you been? Not allowed to take any photos (even from a phone) at the event, no meet and greet, and no book signing. Maybe it’s just me but sheesh. Way to greet your fans. And wouldn’t allowing photos to be posted to social media help to further her book sales?

I had two tickets to go see her book signing tonight and may still go but after reading this email they sent out last night I kind of feel like she thinks she’s better than everyone or doesn’t want to participate with her fans whatsoever.

Kind of weird to do an event where you read from your brand new book and then refuse to sign copies. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Does anyone remember the Fuck Reading (thats the festival not the act of digesting the written word) all day events that used to happen in London (Brixton Academy & other venues I think) in the 90's? I remember going to a couple and seeing Vice Squad & The Business amongst others. There's not much that comes up when searching.

So my kid recently got into punk and asked me this the other week and I've been thinking about it for a while. For several reasons:

1. It's odd because neither of us are black (we're both not white, but definitely not black)
2. One of my partners is black and their kids and my kid became close friends over the last year
3. My kid is just fuckin rad and wants interesting music recommendations

I asked my aforementioned partner if they had any leads, but they're into motown and not punk.

Also, I hate I feel I gotta say this, but yes, black trans WOMEN punk bands are cool with us.

I'm looking for recommendations for good German punk bands, new or old. I listened to a lot of WIZO back in the 90's and early 2000's, but never branched out much further than that. I'm familiar with some other bands from that era, like Terrorgruppe and Beatsteaks, and some of the more mainstream stuff like Die Arzte and Die Toten Hosen, but that's about it. I'm particularly interested in melodic hardcore, but open to anything. Thanks in advance!

Criminally forgotten about in my opinion. “Can I Say” and “Wig Out At Denko’s” has some of the greatest melodic punk riffs of all-time.

Compared to the rest of the nordic, the danes have way less punk bands (including other genres considered "extreme" by soceity), and the bands that do exist doesnt have that big of a following.
