Hi all! I discovered Blink when I was 12 years old. I’m 32 now (f). Anyways, I just realized is that I’ve never shared my love for Blink with anyone and I would love to meet people who love them too (since I’ve always been alone in that).

I remember seeing First date on MTV, and it was the funniest shit I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been a hardcore fan since. Blink has gotten me through absolutely every emotion and every hardship in life, and every song is deeply ingrained in me. It’s been my own thing for twenty years and I just thought that it might be nice to reach out and maybe get to know people who has had the same love for Blink and connect over that. So if anyone wants to send me a message I’d be above and beyond to talk Blink.

What’s your first memory of Blink?

Idk what it is about the guy, he definitely didn't seem to have much personality on stage or in public but maybe it's the mystery about him that I find interesting. He seems to have no ego on stage, not showing off, not trying to look cool, just doing his job. I really wish the dude lasted a bit longer with the band and got to experience some the fame from Enema. I think the dude wasn't really given a fair chance. They kicked him out even though he agreed to go to rehab and he was much younger than Mark and Tom. Of course at that age he's going to experience drinking a lot. Especially with that kind of publicity and lifestyle. What are your thoughts on Scott?

Is there an alternate/easier way to do the STFTK intro? Idk it's stumped me

I personally love amplitube 5 as there are some really nice presets. Particularly All the small things 4.0 and Blink stereo I’ve tried amp and tone hub but wasn’t that keen. Any recommendations?

I know I'll never get the exact tone, I mean Jerry was a wizard and it's gonna be impossible to recreate from my bedroom. However, I'd like to get as close as possible for my album. I've recorded a little test of Anthem Part 2, quite rough, it's by no means perfect but do you guys have any advice or input or achieving the tone as closely as possible? This is as close as I have so far. IDK how much Reddit is gonna compress the quality of this upload so let's just hope for the best!

I don't know if they have ever talked about it, but it if it is live, it is the best they have ever played in their entire careers. But it's more likely that the parts were re-recorded.

There are videos that claim to be from the shows the album came from, and the voices and guitars are not even close to as flawless as they are on the live album. Even if they aren't from those specific shows, they are from the same period, and they sound like Blink-182 sounds live.

Take Mutt for example. Live, he doesn't play the verse guitar part the way that it is on Enema of the State. I don't know if I have ever heard him play it the way that he does on the album. That's most likely because the rhythm of the part is difficult to pull off while he's singing. He does the same thing in the verses of First Date.

On The Mark Tom and Travis show, he does.

Even the crowd noise is manipulated. No one is singing. It's just a din of cheering. There are countless examples of this throughout the whole album. You would need to use the loosest definition of live to call it a live album.

I look at it as a cleaned up version of the way that the songs were played live at the time, but it's not live. Everyone knows what they sound like live. There are thousands of videos of it. But does it matter? Probably not. I like it.

Imagine blink uncovered a lost track that they forgot about and released it today, which album would you hope it would be from?
