What is post punk? Nobody's sure, but we know what it isn't. Beware the tut-and-moan of the pseudo-intellectual.

Memo: We've all heard Joy Division. If you wanna post JD, make sure it's rare or live. Same goes for New Order, The Smiths, The Cure, The Talking Heads, Public Image Ltd, Bauhaus- any of the usual suspects on your run-of-the-mill 'Essential Guide To Post-Punk' primer. Essential, yeah, we get it, yawn.
*** IF YOU POST ANY SONG BY THE KILLERS, YOU WILL BE BANNED ***
NO BLOGSPAM. WE REPEAT: NO BLOGSPAM.
Any site selling albums/tracks will be classed SPAM. Don't even consider posting an ad site that's your own band. The fig leaf of "name your own price" is not enough. Also, no crowd-funding links.
If your post isn't showing, maybe it's in our spam filter. It's also possible we removed it. What were you doing posting A-Ha anyway?
Don't post direct-download links. There are legal reasons. And malware reasons.
Anyway, make sure you watch "Upside Down: The Creation Records Story" or maybe "24 Hour Party People" but do what you want, we're nihilists

RIP Geordie. I am prepared to argue this point. Long live the music of Killing Joke and may it continue to inspire generation after generation.
Did a deep dive down Flying Nun Records out of New Zealand. If you haven't checked them out, they have some great post punk. Put many of the songs on this playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5VGETsConsoR4VjkzTL107?si=9dd7256bd9994d03
I find "Songs of a Lost World" the best album since "Disintegration" but also a bit too polished in the sound.
There is a wealth of songs where guys are pitiful and feeling sorry for themselves, where they’re begging her to come back, where they’re sorry for their bad behavior.
There are tons of songs from the scorned woman’s perspective. Spiteful, done-wrong, not taking it anymore, glad to be done with him.
There is a dearth of such songs from the scorned man’s perspective.
Any suggestions?
