Metalcore (or metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing.

I started from their album Gone Forever and I love it so much! What other metalcore album/artist should I give a try?
Many people around me acknowledge a lot of vocals and lyrics. I on the other hand notice a lot of guitar riffs or drums first. Most of my favorite songs have strong riffs. Ofc it's not black and white and there are a lot of song with strong vocals that I love. But guitar riffs is the best thing on metalcore for me.
I’m trying to learn Gone With The Wind by Architects, the breakdown part in particular. I love metalcore and have done for a long time, but I mostly play Knocked Loose/Kublai Khan type stuff, nowhere near as technical. Do any of you guys have a technique for breaking down really complex grooves to learn more easily?
Artist: The Browning
Release: Omni
Release Date: November 8th, 2024
Cover Art: Here
Metalcore veterans The Browning have been around since 2005 and are back with the newest installment of their sound that everyone knows and loves. OMNI is their 6th studio album and packs a punch with a running time of just 26 minutes. The band opted for doing a release schedule that is akin to many other bands with releasing five singles in the last year. Some may take issue of it as the album only has ten songs with two of them being an intro to a bigger song.
I personally enjoyed almost all of the singles and the intro Wake Up reminded me of a hype song like Animus by Diamond Construct. It just gets you into the mood of what the album wants you to feel. Alas I'm not sure how much staying power this album will have in years coming like Geist had, which I feel is their best album. Deceiver, Omni, Poison, and Wake Up were the standouts for me. What are your thoughts on the new album?
Stream/Support
Ok, like i said the video was footage that looked like home movie footage of cops arresting people, people fighting on the streets and oddly enough people Playing bingo lol can anyone help me out??
Texas Mathcore band, Pillar of Wasps, releases new chaos.
Worship the Wasp.
They were f'n amazing and (REALLY) loud! It seemed like they were having a great time while making it look effortless.
What's your favorite ABR song/album?
I was just curious, does anyone over the age of 30 listen to Metalcore? Is it still mostly just teens? anyone still listen to it?
Recorded this gem a few days ago, fucking hilarious
Could not link the video in this post in any other way, sorry!
So I went to the Amity show in Brisbane last night and they were supported by Heavens Gate, WCAR and Ice Nine Kills.
Now I knew going in that Ice Nine were a horror themed band but I’m terribly across their catalogue. Their stage show was very animated. Actors on stage playing out psychopaths and all that jazz. Pretty entertaining for the most part.
But then came the video clip. In the background of some song I assume was related to the latest terrifier movie, were three massive screens visible in HD detail even to the nosebleed section, suddenly there’s a clown ripping an unborn baby from a pregnant woman’s vagina and strangling her with the umbilical cord.
I gotta say man.. regardless of what you think of the band/video etc, this was an AA show. There were kids there. A lot of people who were obviously not aware of the band were visibly affected.
Not very cool of the band or promoter to not give any kind of warning. It kinda put a dampener on the whole evening, having that image fresh in our minds as Amity took the stage.
Anyway - far warning for anyone attending an INK supported show who doesn’t feel like seeing that shit.
Guys do we consider Alesana more of a posthardcore/screamo band or is it metalcore? Because in the last time I kind of heard the metalcore in it.
I was arguing with some friends. Are left-handed guitarists in Core so rare? I only remember Kris Dawson, from Bury Tomorrow.
Dropped a new song today. What do we think?
Idk if this is considered metalcore im not extremely familiar with this genre but the worst in me by bad omens
