Excited for this to get taken down, because you take absolutely everything else down.
I’ve lost count of how many posts I’ve replied to, gone to check out later and see it’s been removed for some reason or another. Usually low effort/low quality, which is apparently just a blanket term for… just about anything.
Gently remove your heads from your asses and let people talk about their favourite bands. Just because you personally think it might not be the amazing high-brow academic discussion about a band who named their breakout album after shit, doesn’t mean it’s not creating conversation for someone out there. Some of us like engaging over the templates going round other subs. Some of us like a little low-effort every now and then. To quote the onion: not every movie has to be Schindler’s fucking List. Not every post has to be the fucking Mona Lisa.
Hang on, I’ll say the only two things you’re allowed to say on this sub to make sure you don’t delete my post: warning is underrated, one minute.
We love a good bit of Green Day but what's one song you love a little bit too much? Mine is Take the Money and Crawl, especially for that chorus (which i noticed has an "ohhhh-oohhhhh-ohh" echo in the background 🥰)
Billy Bo Barmstrong reconciles with president Donald Trump, in a recent interview he stated “Idk what we were even on about for the past 20 years, the government is awesome!!!!”
Just wanted to say, it’s a great song. It’s not really one of my favorites from Green Day, but lyrically it’s been one of the most relatable from them lately. Anyone else have any songs like that from GD - that may not necessarily be your top plays but you relate to more?
Did Jakob make a comment condemning Joey at an Ultra Q show? Someone made it sound like it in another thread.

I really think we should start talking about the next Green Day album. I really loved American Idiot, and 21st Century Breakdown. Both were rock operas, so I really think we should do that again. If Green Day did do another rock opera, I think the setlist would follow a "familiar story"

Lead singles would probably either be Four fucking minutes left, Basket Case, or One Minute. I wonder what you think. I know it's a bit long, and could use a bit cleaning up, but is this a cool concept or nah?

He says things like, "fuck meta, fuck google," and still has an Instagram and uses Google daily. He thinks it is still 1991, and he has all of this energy. I think he was always like this, and only became active because of meth. He's still touring, and making albums. His time has come to pass. He needs to realize there are better people, like Justin Bieber, and many others that are struggling to make a name for themselves. By continuing to override the music scene, he is shutting down up and coming artists. His time has been around since 1989. He needs to give it up. I don't agree with his political views, or idealogy, but I hope he can even enjoy retirement.
Even if he does want to keep it up, he should at least show everyone the music on the new album. I went to the show in bonner springs, and there was a kid, maybe 14. He said he was never into them, but his parents wanted to show him the music. The fact that there are 2 generation being taken over by them is unacceptable, I digress. By then end of the show, he liked the band, but didn't even know all of the songs on Saviors. Billie and Mike are making music to have a reason to tour. If an up and coming artist could've performed that night, there could be a new name in the music world. But they don't play the songs they hust wrote, because they're washed up. They don't have the touch. They never did. But back then, there weren't music artists like today. Even from 1994-2004, he was better at writing music. He's using those songs to hook people. A person can inly actively listen up to around 30 bands/artists at a time, and keep up with them. He's taking one of the spots for people like the 14 year old boy.
He still says things, like about the Elon agenda, that are common things, but he does it to hook people into his ideology. Sickening.
I’m bored af
Hi everyone! I got onstage with Billie, Mike and Tré back in 2022 in Tampa Florida and was wondering if anyone has any videos or pictures. If so, it would mean a lot if you comment them or DM me. Thank you! 🙏🏻
Feel free to use :)
Basket Case (Drum Cover)
I changed my mind but it’s too late!
Going to see them in Vienna and I heard something about them completely changing the setlist
