So, what if the moment before they signed to play there, Billie,Tre, or Mike got a vision of the outcome of their sad performance. How would it make a difference to Green Day? Would they be the same as now or completely different?
We were lucky enough to bag gold circle tickets to Ziggo Dome in July next year, travelling over from the UK for a 1 night stay.
I was looking at the venue and surprised that has a relatively small capacity, max 17,000 I believe...but happy to be corrected.
How does a venue like this compare to the bigger venues? This is my 6th GD gig, but others have all been big venues: Dublin, Manchester, Huddersfield, Milton Keynes (2005).
I'm excited by the prospect of a smaller venue, but a bit nervous of the whole ambience and staging...tell me your experiences please guys
Has anyone else found themselves super inspired by the AI demos?
As a songwriter, I always struggle with lyrics and have a real 'first idea, best idea' mentality which can make it hard to scrap things if I don't like them. Plus if I start a song, I have a tendency to want to finish it while the inspirations there, even if I know the lyrics I'm writing aren't as good as the ones I started with.
Hearing the AI 20 demos, specifically Lowlife, has made me feel like it's ok to shelve things for years if needed. Lowlife was demo'd for AI (written however long before that) and didn't come out fully until Saviors, 20 years later, and it required him to fully scrap parts of the song to make space for new lyrics and themes.
Plus, hearing unpolished, unfinished, work-in-progress songs makes them feel more achievable, right? They aren't this perfect, incredible product that Billie just came up with, they took time and effort to create. I might not be able to write something as incredible of Jesus of Suburbia, but maybe, with enough time, effort and will, I could write something like the Jesus of Suburbia demo, hahaha
Attended the Green Day Fan Day and it was sweeeeeeet 🤑
I remember seeing a video of Billie holding a guitar and someone asks if it has wallpaper on it and he just throws it off the stage into the empty floor. Anyone recall this?

Another newer cover posted on my channel yesterday. Please check it out and tell me what you think! Enjoy!
“As far as this record is going (American Idiot) it’s an agenda made, it’s just not a personal agenda, it’s just I want to think for myself” ~ Mike Dirnt
"Histoire de melody nelson" is a concept album like American idiot, as first person
is it possible that Green day take inspiration from him ?
I did this by using Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’ drum track and splicing up a new drum track for it. I then play guitars and bass over it. FXRLY sang vocals for it and St Jimmy’s Stuff used AI for the American Idiot era Billie styled vocals. He then mixed the song to sound like American Idiot and here is the result. Hope you enjoy.
New cover posted up yesterday, go check it out and enjoy! 😁
It's bad
Not a song that's okay but incredibly low in popularity/recognition but a song that's has the biggest difference between popularity and quality. Personally, any song from Insomniac (other than Brain Stew) but I'll say either Stuck with me, or Stuart and the Ave.
Although I am missing a bass and “chuck” patch, I think I did this well!
Can't wait to try it!
My favorite band for my favorite “Holiday”
i totally imagine she’d be a redhead; i also painted the shirt myself so its a little messy!!!
I took this photo 13 years ago during a special Halloween themed show at the "Studio" (read: basement) at Webster Hall... Won the tickets through NY's K-Rock... What a night.
