This guy. Lost both arms in a freak farming accident; still managed to dial for help. And he's hilarious.

What kind of "cool/casual/practical" crossbody bag to get for my husband (new dad) for his bday?

I buy my husband really practical presents for his birthdays, more and more as we age. It's the kind of thing you don't realllyyy buy yourself i guess. They're usually like more investment-type pieces. I bought him a messenger bag for work years ago. I could tell he wasn't thrilled when he saw it, but he loves it now and always uses it when going to office. i bought him a huge patagonia bag for when we travel (another "not super exciting gift"), but he really loves it now.

Now that he's a dad (our kid is 14 months), he doesn't know yet that he will enjoy a small unassuming crossbody type bag. Everything is in his pockets - keys, the sunglasses she won't let him wear, wallet, oversized cell phone, gum. It makes it hard for him to run around with her. I have a hard time imagining him even considering wearing a bag of some kind. It has to be "cool", like casual, simple, but practical, and easy to clean if it gets dirty. I know he would never wear it around his waist or hips. But I feel like he could come around on a crossbody/chest one that is not huge.

About him: He's a "Creative type" practical sports-loving type. He's trying to learn to develop his style, and is investing in basics (and emulating a Justin Theroux style). He doesn't really know yet that he's going to be dirty 247 with our kid hanging off of him. I wouldn't call him a hipster, but he's got like a quirky creative vibe thing going on. He wears a lot of navy, black, white, sometimes red, and likes random pops of color. He really likes to watch sports. He used to play baseball. He loves music. He runs a lot now (he has a running water backpack).

I just have no idea what cool brands or bags exist that could be the like "inoffensive small dad crossbody bag that still looks cool". He got me a lulu lemon around-the-waist one and i wear it all the time, so he knows its functional!

Hellppppp lol his birthday is coming right up and i know nothing. I bow before you, for your recommendations please!

EDIT: I GOT THE FREITAG F650 FIXON CROSSBODY BAG - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS, THIS WAS EPIC!!

Sadio Mané, the Senegalese Bayern Munich football player is transforming Bambaly, his native Senegal village: He built an hospital, a school and he is paying 80 euros a month all its citizens. Recently he installed a 4G network and built a postal office.

I'm a Minnesotan travelling through Thunder Bay and I came across the Terry Fox memorial. Few know who he is in the US, so I made a video about him. He is the story of a real Canadian hero [7:09]

Majid Kavousifar was publicly executed in Tehran in August 2007 for killing Masoud Ahmadi Moghaddasi, one of several judges of the Islamic Republic that collectively sentenced more than 3000 political prisoners to execution. He was smiling & waving in his final moments.

A Man’s A Man For A’ That.

A Man’s A Man For A’ That

Is there for honest poverty
That hings his head, an a’ that?
The coward slave, we pass him by –
We dare be poor for a’ that!
For a’ that, an a’ that,
Our toils obscure, an a’ that,
The rank is but the guinea’s stamp,
The man’s the gowd for a’ that.

What though on hamely fare we dine,
Wear hoddin grey, an a’ that?
Gie fools their silks, and knaves their wine –
A man’s a man for a’ that.
For a’ that, an a’ that,
Their tinsel show, an a’ that,
The honest man, tho e’er sae poor,
Is king o’ men for a’ that.

Ye see yon birkie ca’d ‘a lord,’
Wha struts, an stares, an a’ that?
Tho hundreds worship at his word,
He’s but a cuif for a’ that.
For a’ that, an a’ that,
His ribband, star, an a’ that,
The man o’ independent mind,
He looks an laughs at a’ that.

A prince can mak a belted knight,
A marquis, duke, an a’ that!
But an honest man’s aboon his might –
Guid faith, he mauna fa’ that!
For a’ that, an a’ that,
Their dignities, an a’ that,
The pith o’ sense an pride o’ worth,
Are higher rank than a’ that.

Then let us pray that come it may
(As come it will for a’ that),
That Sense and Worth o’er a’ the earth,
Shall bear the gree an a’ that.
For a’ that, an a’ that,
It’s coming yet for a’ that,
That man to man, the world, o’er,
Shall brithers be for a’ that.

Robert Burns- 1759-1796.
